At least hellstriders are pretty on-theme for Slaanesh - fast glass cannons. It's the grindy infantry with ITP and physical resistance that seem out of place to me.
Or drinking game.
I hope he keeps it up until they're more balanced by cost.
@@klarthkoken1925 Ehh I don't know. To me Slaanesh is supposed to be equal in melee proficiency to Khorne just they achieve it differently. In the lore some of the most skilled fighters you will ever find are Slaanesh worshippers.
This was a fun game to watch. The level of micro was absolutely superb, the troop movements were well done. The combined movements were amazing. Watching a high level player at time is rly like watching an actual battle because you get a lot less idle units or units making very very dumb commitments, they move with intended purpose 😩

It's so satisfying seeing Skarbrand bulldoze through several infantry regiments to get onto a lord.
Because realistically how would infantry stop something like that, that's like several tons of very angry muscle moving at the speed of a car
Alexander's infantry used pikes to keep elephanta at bay or of they crashed into their lines they'd hack at their hamstrings to cripple them. I'm not sure if daemon physiology would allow you to cut hamstrings though
@@callumcochrane7759 I dont question too much of whats going on in WH: Fantasy universe but one thing, how tf characters like Louen, Franz, Tyrion or basically any human sized lords fight the monstrosities of the WH world with their melee weapons? Like GUOs, some of them are said to be a size of a mountain, how do you fight that with sword/halberd/lance/whatever? poking them in the ankles? lol
@@callumcochrane7759 real elephants have survival instinct, so they fear to rush straight into the fancy looking spears and blades.
Skarbrand just haven't mind at all, yet survival instinct, so... ))
@@chaotix7275 Louen was blessed by the Grail and is thus pretty much superhuman enough to fight off Daemons. Tyrion like all Elves are far stronger than humans despite being thin much like the Eldar. Karl Franz isn't actually some uber warrior like Sigmar was and is mostly an excellent statesman and uniter; the Empire of Man survives by working together, no individual human in the WH: Fantasy can stand up to a Daemon barring Grail Knights or those backed by Chaos.

Hey Turin! Just want to say you have top tier commentary. Your ability to always focus on the action and provide important context always keeps me coming back to your videos.
Man I would think with that horde of marauder horsemen would have turned Skarbrand into a pincushion, rather surprised.
They cant slow or immobilize him, moving SEM in hard target. Its main point for bringing light wizard for Empire
not easy with so many 95 speed dogs around
Others mentioned movement, Ill also note he has pretty good armor and horsemen javs are not majority ap. That helps mitigate what shots do hit.
You need Guns against 90 Armor with 80 Speed. Also Skarbrands Attack/Charge Animation helps him not getting hit, he moves a lot while beeing in Melee.

Belakor is Thorin Oakenshield and Skarbrand is voiced by a guy from Vikings:Valhalla.
The Total War Warhammer cast is a lot more familiar than I expected, and that's not even considering Ramsay Bolton as Rakarth.

Love your videos, Turin! A humble request I'd to see in the future: In this game Be'lakorr and Skarbrand were the two big pieces, yet at the end screen we did not get to see Be'lakor's value. I'd love to see you check out more units in the end screen. Anyway, keep up the great work brudda!

Go Khorne player! Marauder Horsemen have been evil since game 1, but combined with hellstriders.. ooof, that's a nasty build. Even if you win you're gonna have a bad time during.
Just please buff Kholek. Dude cot powercreeped by new stuff into oblivion. No magic attacks, so his best matchups in teory: deoms and bretonia leave him with lowered dmg against everything of importance. He doesn't even have 9k hp. In tabletop he was as tanky as greater demons of nurgle and DEFINITLY tankier than Giant. You can get 2 giants in price of 1 kholek now.
With so many top tier characters in Woch kholek looks obsolete, Archaon and Belakor will do simmilar damage, are tankier and have magic. And are faster. And are smaller targets.
Just make Kholek an absolute unit he is supposed to be. He won't be better than belakor anyway, just give us chaos players reason to take something fun, not sweaty.
Now whenever I take big boi kholek he just doesn't perform.
I could understand leaving him as he is if chaos had nurgle casters as heroes, but RN only healing he can get is chaos Shrine of nurgle.
Giving him magic attacks is basically 20% dmg buff. If they don't make him tankier at least make him excellent in niche he should be excellent in: Doing Damage.

Call me crazy but hellstriders are actually in a good spot. They are a good core unit to the faction of slanesh that embody the faction style perfectly. However they should be taken off the WOC roster for multiplayer and marks should only be able to be used on the base roster. Either that or 1 mark per god rather than just any 4 marks. Also I think the reason slanesh is op is because of their marauders and their mark those things should be nerfed before hellstriders.

flesh hounds are really good vs hellstriders caus they have magical attacks. but yeah....hellstriders are the most unbalanced unit in the game atm. they should be AT LEAST 200 points more expensive
It is a a little sad they dident add Beastegors of Korn. is old school unit Beastegors whit hallbards. not to brag but I have 60 man unit in the tabletop of it.
