    Anton Petrov the Idea is, that at the quantum level a Matter & Anti-matter pair will pop into existence just above the surface of the event horizon of the black hole & the gravity of the black hole being so massive can tear the two apart sucking in the anti-matter half & thus slowly, so slowly it might as well be considered forever, the anti-matter will decrease the mass of the black hole until it eventually has no mass left, & black hole is no more. So to speak. At least that's my understanding PBS space time Can explain it so much better then I can. I'm not detracting from your video I enjoyed very much. Cheers!

    Quick question:
    If and when a black hole loses a sufficient amount of mass, will electomagnetism kick in and make the black hole expand/explode? I mean, surely electromagnetism still applies to the energy/mass inside singularities, but it's overpowered by gravity. So it would only make sense for the black hole to disappear in a spectacular black hole nova once it loses enough mass.
    I'm no physicist (yet), so I don't know if this is even a considered possibility. Just an idea.

    • @Ci.Ag.Wo.
      @Ci.Ag.Wo. Před 6 lety +1

      No, electromagnetism is the interaction of electric currents or fields and magnetic fields. It honestly has nothing to do with a black hole or the death of a black hole. Because of the Black hole's gravity nothing can ever escape. EVER. so there is no explosion or nova or what have you. Nova's & super nova's only happen with large & very large solar masses many times larger then the solar mass of our sun. Black Holes on the other hand will only wither away after so many years you might as well call it forever... Long after the universe has died from space expanding so much that no particle or atom will ever touch another one again. That's according to Professor Hawking anyways. Hope this helped. If you want a Really good explanation on this, I would suggest checking out PBS Space Time. They are actual physicist and can explain it way better then I ever could. Hope this helped a shed a little light on the matter. Cheers!

    hmmm...I don't see how the disappearing stuff will happen ever,given that they jet away one particle,but take in another one,when the blackhole swallows some other object flying around it restores that mass loss,might even gain more mass than it has lost if it takes in a star? anyway the particles that escape sooner or later get caught onto something and some might end up entering another black hole,what I'm trying to say is there is no actual loss,since that black hole can essentially get particles from everywhere,even from the light of other stars/black holes.Now if the black hole loses more mass than it produces + absorbs,then yeah they could disappear.But what fascinates me is not the black holes themselves but the distance between all of the stuff out there,I mean c'mon that galaxy NGC 2276 is freaking 200 million light years away from us,meaning that we see it the way it was 200 million years ago,back then when the light it emitted and we barely receive just now our planet was in the early jurassic era,holy crap!Which kind of makes me sad because we'll never get to see all that's out there in our universe,because some things will disappear/have already disappeared(we just receive their light that they emitted long ago) or simply we'll never even get to there...It's truly sad,yet somehow intriguing,makes you wonder if there is a way for us to travel faster than light,like not have to fly 200 million years to that galaxy,but fly the distance for like 200 seconds using worm holes or something...ahh questions whose answer I might not be able to hear during my lifetime...so sad,yet intriguing and fascinating.

      It's a gateway into nothingness surrounded by a swirling aura. It's fascinating and beautiful, but if you were approaching this object and didn't have control over your movement, you would be terrified. Minimizing the luminosity as he did in the video made it even more intimidating, since it's literally all you can see, and it is shrouded in darkness with a ghostly white aura. It's a humbling reminder of the nature of all of us. We have come from nothing, and at the mercy of a powerful celestial body surrounded by a swirling white aura, we will become nothing. That's why a lot of people are afraid of black holes, especially the way it was depicted in the video when he decreased the brightness. It looks amazing and cool though.

    It all looks nice and its cool to watch but black holes dont exist in reality.
    You cant divide by zero and say its infinity.

    • @temp680
      @temp680 Před 8 lety +1

      well theres is actually quite a lot of evidence that they exist and no evidence that they don't

    • @oldi184
      @oldi184 Před 8 lety

      Sir Daniel
      Actually no. Black holes were first discovered as a purely mathematical solution to Einstein field equations in GR.
      This solution - Schwarzchild black hole contains no matter and exist forever in Asymptotically flat space time (universe).
      So all these black holes NASA and Mr Hawking are talking about its just fantasy and by evidence you mean real, hard, physical, "empirical" evidence like for example a space craft or probe is measure things and send telemetry data back to Earth? Yes?
      And above that we have division by zero.
      Can you divide by zero? No its undefined. But Mr Hawking tell us no you can and its called "singularity".
      Its not science sir.
      We have something like:
      g=-1/(1-2Gm/0)
      They think that dividing by zero you get infinity? How is this happen?

    • @temp680
      @temp680 Před 8 lety +1

      oldi184 We don't even know what the singularity is, its just the name for the thing that makes the black hole, that contains the mass of it. And we found physical evidence, like radiation of decaying matter, gases that orbit the black hole, stars that orbit it etc etc

    • @Healthwannabe7556
      @Healthwannabe7556 Před 8 lety +1

      If you look at the SpaceTime for a black hole, it seems to be a hole going down. If I remember Algebra correctly, down on the graphing calculator was undefined.

    • @oldi184
      @oldi184 Před 8 lety

      Sir Daniel
      Sir i just gave you some evidence why black holes are not real and why they cant be real.
      Its all just fantasy. A tricks of pure mathematics.
      The idea of dividing by zero is just silly.
      The idea of "infinite" density is silly.
      The idea of "singularity" an object with zero "volume" and infinite dense is silly.
      Black holes dont exist in real world.
      So why they shovel down our throats this idea of black hole? Simple. Money.
      People and mainstream science build around black holes a huge concentration of money and prizes and pride. So this machine must keep going. Deep inside perhaps they know its silly but too much stuff is at stake.
      Other science which have nothing to do with space and physics but with human mind and behavior explains this really well. Sociology.
      Read more about "Conformity" and people willing to maintain a Status quo.
      Example. If you have good, very well paid job and you are respected in society you as a human rather stick to this world even if you know the things you are doing are wrong. You will keep doing these things because this will maintain your life style, your social status.
      oh btw
      Kids in primary school already know that you cant divide by zero. Did you know that?
      oh and last thing
      We live in big bang universe right? So far observation seems to confirm that.
      You see black hole universe and big bang universe cant exist in one another. They are mutually exclusive.
