The Searchers had a few hits when I was in high school in the mid-60's. I remember "Needles and Pins," and "Love Potion #9." They were a Mersey/Liverpool group, a batch that included Gerry and the Pacemakers, The Swinging Blue Jeans, Billy J. Kramer and the Dakotas, and of course The Beatles.

I saw The Searchers in concert in the early '90s in Miami Beach. They played 3 sets of 45 minutes each and were terrific. I can't imagine why they sound so bad here.
