I’m handicap and I don’t mind if people use it but if you see an older person or a handicap person waiting let them use it first. That is just respectful!
EXACTLY. I'm handicapped. It's the last one. Use it, but if a handicapped, elderly, or child burdened person shows up, they get next turn for the handicapped stall. They NEED it.
You can answer so many questions with "just be respectful" I appreciate you offering your opinion on this question. It's kind of sad that, as a society, we have to remind adults to be respectful. When the quarantine was lifted, a bunch of people seemed to leave their houses and forget to bring their respect for others, empathy, and social skills back out into the world with them. Such a shame.
I use it. We all have to wait for our turn anyways. Rule of thumb for me is that if a handicapped person came in it would be their turn next on that stall.
I AM handicapped. The handicap stalls are designed to be much larger to accommodate wheelchairs or walkers or other adaptive devices. They also have handrails to hold on to so that getting on and off the toilet is safer. If you just have to take a quick pee and no one else is waiting, go for it. But if you're going to be in there a while and there's the potential for someone that actually needs that stall to come in, I say wait. If you come out after being in there doing your thing for ages and there's a handicap person waiting, that is not cool!
I use it. I'm 52 and I can't remember the last time I saw an actual handicapped person get out of a car in a handicapped space, let alone the bathroom.
Just because someone doesn’t look handicapped to you when they get out of a car doesn’t mean they are not handicap it doesn’t to be a physical handicap you can see it could be heart condition breathing conditions or a number of things just cause you don’t look handicapped don’t mean you aren’t
@garymullings1089 yes thanks for speaking on that! I'm 46 and have a heart condition and I was shamed by a elderly man for parking in a handicap it was so hurtful but the bathroom is the bathroom everybody has to wait their turn lol have a great day everybody
I think it's called disabled not handicapped and it could be anything that makes them it could be anything that makes them disabled maybe they have a breathing problem that makes not able to walk far
I agree! I have multiple medical conditions. You may see me struggling a lot on a bad day. Others I do better and don't limp as bad or struggle breathing. Still have issues. I just appreciate the good days when I have them. I do not usually park in the van access spots, though. Those are for people to deploy wheelchairs. I don't use my chair every day.
The stall is handicap accessible not exclusive. It doesn’t make sense to have a long line of people waiting and leave 1 unused. However, if a person comes in with a visible handicap they are put at the front of the line
Feel free to use it. The rail comes in handy for those more strenuous situations. However, just know if you see wheels roll up your gonna have to “block the dam” and give the spot up.
Absolutely use it… it’s a similar etiquette to being on a bus and offering your seat to an older person or someone who may need it more…. It’s respect… borrow the loo, as long as it’s available when needed that is all that matters…. Another excellent topic Mr & Mrs -7 xx 😘
If all the stalls are filled and you really gotta go then go for it. But please be courteous because we do not have the option of going to a different stall and do have to wait for that one and have to clean your mess
I am handicap and if it is the only stall left, most people will use it. Or people with children old enough to go but not without assistance use it. Not a problem in my mind.
I use it whenever it's not occupied. If I ever in my life run into a situation where the timing is that bad that someone else needs the stall then I swallow my pride and apologize lol
Honestly it’s the best stall. I’ve never been in a situation where I’ve inconvenienced someone who’s handicapped so I never really thought too much into it until your video😅
This may sound bad Cody, but being a bigger guy myself I use it cause there is more room. If a handicap person was to come in at the same time as me of course I’d let them use it first.
Always use the handicap bathroom. If nobody is outside waiting after you come out. Just walk on. When your finished and someone is waiting on you, walk off with a limp.
I’ve been in a wheelchair since 2003. An AB using a handicap bathroom is a bad thing. We have to keep our bathroom uses on a schedule since we don’t know when we have to go. Having an AB in a handicap bathroom could result in us urinating on ourselves or defecting.
In all my travels and experiences, the handicap stall is the most preferred and first come, first served. Heck, if you came across an empty handicap stall in a busy restroom, than the gracious God has blessed you the bigger thrown that day!
Coming from a guy in a wheelchair for the last 25 years ,nothing is worse than having to wait for someone who isn't handicapped using it.. But unfortunately everyone uses it not just handicapped folks..... Real bummer
@@925atthemorgue it is what it is , as long as ya go through life happy and with the love from the good LORD none of us having anything to complain about...
Before I retired. The company I worked for considered being overweight a handicap So that helped me. The regular stalls were so narrow your knees touched the walls on each side😊
If a handicapped person comes in while you're using that stall, you can just tell them you were warming the seat up for them. 😆 My 1st thought when I heard you pose this question was, what do you do when a parking lot is full and there's only handicap spaces open. These two questions are completely different scenarios though so the same rules don't apply. I think it's perfectly fine to use a handicap stall as long as there isn't a handicap person waiting behind you. If there is someone who is handicap behind you, I think you should let them take their stall and then the next one that opens can be all yours. What do I do when I go to a store and all of the spots are taken except for the handicap spots? I turn around and go home because that means it's way too busy in that store and whatever I was going there for can wait. Lol I can't stand being in stores that are overcrowded!
IF it’s the only one left and All others are full then you are welcome to use it ( worked retail 14yrs b4 starting my own business) and they’re rarely used by who actually needs them and they’re usually a lot more sanitary! 😂❤❤❤
It’s a public restroom you can use it ! Just do your business and open it back up ! I’m handicapped and I can wait a few minutes just as well as anyone
I am handicapped and several times I have had to wait on a person that is perfectly healthy to come out. Do not use a handi capped stall if you don't need it.
They can wait just like anyone else. But if they are waiting there beside you, you give them the common curiosity (might take them a little longer to finish the business). Keep the traffic going but have respect
Hmmm, good question. I rarely use public restrooms so I had never really thought about it. If I am being honest I dont really think about it and just use it. I will now be conscience of this whenever I use a public restroom. I always give courtesy to elderly, handicap, pregnant, was c anyway.
Use it, a bathroom is about waiting in line, handicapped doesn't mean you can have a spot waiting just in case you ever want to go and not have to wait in line
I'm handicap and I say use it. If you have to go, you gotta go so use it. I've seen a lot of people that aren't handicap using it and I just wait until they are finished
First come first served if nothing else is available. As a disabled woman, it doesn't bother me when I have to wait. As long as they aren't there playing on their phone.

I do have a pet peeve and that’s using a handicap parking spot if you don’t have a handicap license plate or card to show proof.
If I see an older person in line or coming toward bathroom wait but if no one else waiting I use it. And I always use it if I have my little kiddos with me. It's way to hard to fit 2 of us in a tiny stall. I've noticed a lot of the handicap stalls are geared toward Mama's now too because they put the changing table in there and some have a smaller toilet for kids.

I think if you’re next, and all the stalls are taken except the handicap, then you can/ should use it! My perception is leaving a stall empty will just result in everyone having a longer wait time.
Yeah I think as long as you have to go P and you’ll be fast you’ll be OK but if you got a poop you should wait for the other stall me personally, I only poop at home so I never have that problem but if you just can’t hold it man I would say you have to wait don’t poop in the handicap stall. When you also have a small child there is more room for your child and you.
In western NC where I live, the baby changing table is in the handicap stall, most of the time.
Use it, 3 minute rule is good.
Always listen to Ms Ericka.
I use it when I have my 2 year old with me. It has enough room I can have him stand still and I tell him “arms up” so he doesn’t touch anything 😂
