I loved the opening scene with Fezco’s grandma because my interpretation was that they built it up to make us think that the grandma was mad at a man who may have been cheating on her at the strip club so we see her shoot him and then leave AND THEN we see that it’s actually over her love for her grandson, Fez, and the man was his dad who had been hitting him.
So, personally that was just why I loved the way they played that scene out.

I feel like Lexi is one of the few characters that SHOULD have a relationship this season. last season they set up a lot that she's the emotional support system for a lot of people in her life, and that she was never really noticed. always assumed to be independent and never really payed attention to, but I get what you mean in terms of developing her character without her being an extension of other plotlines. Hopefully they do both, because my sister deserves a cute relationship!!!!!

Ok but CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE COLOR SCHEME CHANGE?? like last season it was all about red/pink/purple/blue glitter and neon and this season is like a brown/tan/green vintage style and I'm kinda living for it. Also the color of the opening credit title changed, now it's white instead of blue/purple.
Edit: I actually saw some behind the scenes video and both Sam Levinson and zendaya mentioned this change. Sam said S1 is supposed to feel "like a party at 2 am" and S2 is more "like a party at 5am when all of the characters should have gone home like several hours before" I am so proud of myself for picking it up lol.

Like she did talk with Lexi and all that stuff because we saw at the end of the sequence lexi actually was on the other end of the phone but the police station and being in class watching Nate and all that other manic stuff Rue envisioned was in her head. Rue was also like… 95% right about everything, only thing she got wrong was Nate blackmailing Jules so Lexi probably knows about 95% of the situation too.

girl please lexi and fez (romance) already made my year. They’re perfect for each other. I had the same opinion as you in the first season because I really wanted to see Lexi being independent and not anyone’s side character but after seeing them together I really change my mind really fast because fezco is just so good to her and sees her the way no one does. I really hope they’re endgame.
Girllllll what if that was Lexi in Rues position in the beginning of the episode?? Her getting caught up in his lifestyle is unavoidable. He HAS to bring his work home. I don’t think Lexi is built for that but at the same time they’re so perfect together. I think they’d be great as just friends which hurts me to say but I won’t let fez put Lexi through that.
Also we can see Lexi getting more and more comfortable in her own skin and starting to make decisions for herself in episode 2. Since she's gonna be a main character this season and given how fleshed out she already is, I'm really excited to see how her thing with Fez is gonna play out :)
I think they're cute too, however I can't see a relationship working out until Fez get's his shit together. I'm hoping he does get out of that lifestyle though, because him and Lexi can make a healthy couple once he puts the drug dealing behind him

I want to go on a limb here and take a guess as to why Nate hooked up with Cassie. 1) She's in a vulnerable state. 2) He's an asshole. 3) Cassie has blonde hair...just like jules....and we kinda know how much of a creep/ass Nate is towards Jules...4) He's an asshole.

Ashley, you NEED to start uploading more. I'm begging you. I've been watching your YT channel for a while now, but for some reason I can't stop watching you. You are so funny and so likeable. Its honestly really relaxing. Hopefully you have the time/energy to do this. Because I would be there every step of the way.
I loved how they filmed the party scene. The way they use a continuous shot and wind though the crowd of people to get from one person to another, they're not just cutting to the next character. It's cool because it's atmospheric, it makes you feel like you're really there walking through the different rooms of the house and walking through the crowds of people. It's shot so well. 👏👏👏
I might have enjoyed the fight scene way too much. Fez has it all: he can be the sweetest person and also get the toxic guy a broken face. We love to see it
I just hope he stops selling drugs to kids. He has his convenience store and that Mouse drug overlord is dead, so he has a choice to not do it anymore. To not help ruin people's lives by making drugs more accessible to them.

Idk. I was conflicted. Like ya he is toxic asf but the way he continued beating him, I'd be scared if I was in lexis position. I just get triggered by violent men

It is so hard watching these in 2024. It is so sad to see Angus gone. He was a broken soul that never got healed before he became an angel. Knowing that he had no acting experience, that he put his all into this work. It’s absolutely devastating.

No, there's nothing insinuating he knew she slept with Nate. She was admitting to cheating on him in the last season.
I didn't expect to see Fez beat Nate up in the first episode, but it was truly welcomed.
