Jeremy Lin is technically U.S.-born, but what I find the most odd about him in this video is that he didn't get a biography narrative just as everyone else did, for a guy who made his mark in NBA's 75 year history. Even the penguins got a short narrative.

    • @conradshiao3496

Exactly. I wanted to say Jeremy Lin is American. If Giannis is considered Greek, the. For sure Jeremy Lin should have been put in NA.

Yeah I will let it slide, he is first-generation US citizen in his family, but it's ok to lump him into the Asiatic player group, because he gave huge attention to this league. But I still give the video thumbs down for not giving him a bio, while everyone else got one.

Unfortunately there just isn’t enough notable Asian players for them to remember. Despite basketball explosion in popularity, its equipment requirements made the game inaccessible to poor countries with little infrastructure. The real reason why football, or soccer is still the most popular sport is due to its ability to be played on whatever terrain, as long as a ball is involved. There’s no need for a court and hoop, the ball don’t need to be sufficiently inflated or be able to be bounced.

Unbeatable? Lol.. Listen. Predictably north America has the hands down best team. The European squad is nice but they're not even close to the level of the American team(which consists of arguably 5 top 10 players). Moreover, I beleieve, the European team will have a little trouble beating the African team. The african front court is big tall long and defensive. It'll be hard to drive on them or shoot over them. Not saying the Africans would straight up dominate the Europeans; more so I'm saying it could go either way depending on which team can impose their will. But if forced to bet: I'll take Europe in a "One and done" but Africa in a "Best of 7"

They fit so well together because as individual players they each epitomize Tim Duncan's moniker, "The Big Fundamental."
Besides their height advantage over others, say h. s. teammates, these European players grew up learning and focusing on the basics, the fundamentals, which they've mastered to the point of getting the better of USA raised players who rely on instinct and physical athleticism.

If you only talk about NBA performance Nowitzki may be on top, but if you talk about basketball player, and this is a best Europe starting five... And I'm not going to say anything about Jokic, because comparing him with apex Pau is a bad joke. He just won nothing up to date. He is a good player, but still really far from Nowitzki or Pau.

@@mboswi you got a point comparing international activities. But then again the NBA is still the best league in the world and that’s why it got a deserved reputation. 2nd it’s not like Nowitzki ever had a national team even close like mark and Paul had. You also know it’s impossible to become a world champion alone. Even MJ would not be able to do so.
3rd: so joking has accomplished nothing until today? Please tell me how often Pau became leagues MVP? Also jokic still has plenty of time. Pau got his first ring in his 8th or 9th season if I’m not mistaken. Pau was an outstanding player that’s a fact. Personally I still think jokic has more skill than Pau had.

@@dond2807 Sure, I am not saying Jokic can't be better than Pau when he retires, but today is is not, by far. And I repeat, I'm not saying he is not a good player, at all, but today I would say the same about Doncic, and I think he is likely to become the top European player ever.
On the international performance I agree to a point on what you say about the team, but you can also check other numbers and details: Pau has been, by far, much more decisive and relevant outside the NBA. Pau has lead several national teams, from Rudy and Calderon, to Ricky and Garuba, to international championships and olympic medals. Pau has been a great player, but also a great leader. I'm not sure we can say the same about Dirt (and again, I consider the German one of the greatest basketball players ever, who actually changed the NBA to a point).

Mumble is gonna be crazy at the 5. His quick feet are gonna be a problem for the slower bigs in the NBA, and unlike the rest of his teammates, his size works as a benefit to him by allowing good height matchups. He can slide in and out of the paint very easily, allowing him to grab easy boards when the other team's caught lacking.
Rico is a perfect fit at PF. He always struck me as a Dennis Rodman/Draymond Green/Ron Artest type of player, who's not afraid to get physical with opponents and get them off their game. He's got a variety of tools he can use for any situation, too. He may not look like it, but on the court he's definitely an intimidating presence. Let's not forget about his chemistry with Skipper, those two can play together like an elite unit.
Pingu at small forward is a bit of an odd choice in my opinion. Well, it was at first until I realized that his skillset makes him perfect for the position. He's well known for his stretch skills, and his unpredictability makes him scary to defend. Sure, he's prone to outbursts here and there, but if he gets himself together, he can really make a mess of the defense.
Pablo is a natural-born guard. Arguably the most creative guy on the court at any given moment. His improvisational skills can allow him to confuse and dazzle defenders, allowing him to get easy buckets. Pablo's as smooth as they come, and a joy to watch.
And finally there's Skipper. Honestly, his reputation precedes him. He is the very definition of an on-court coach; he knows how his teammates operate and seems to always make the best of their abilities. Even in tough situations, he's proven himself to be quick-thinking and very resourceful thanks to his high game iq. I don't think I could ever get tired of watching Skipper masterfully orchestrate offenses, and he's not a defensive slouch either. He and Rico almost seem to telepathically communicate with each other, that's just how high their chemistry is.
Overall, although this team may seem to be black-and-white at first, they're definitely a force to be reckoned with on the court.
