You can put a lot of things in the folder to make it big (like putting 2gb of fotos) and deleting after the .dmg is created. That is the only solution I found.

It's a file that usually I can find in my Icloud Drive. After creating the file I can still open a "finder" window in my mac and access icloud drive and the file, without it asking me for any passwords. How can I lock the folder in every location? Thanks!

It's 2021 and they don't have a real solution for this. Just to remember: disk images can't be changed, so to add new files have to start the process all over again. But imagine if you have a huge 50GB folder, how to protect it?

As far as I know if you right click on a folder then Get Info, right under the share radio button there is the option to "lock" the folder.

It's probably compressing your files down before it creates the image. It could be that you selected Compress instead of read/write when creating.
