Hell, I feel lioness do a lot better than some of us Human moms! 🤷🏾♀️😂 I find it so amazing that a calculating, hardcore, apex killer out in the wilderness.... can be so gentle, doting, patient, & loving w/her children in private. Amazing!
I am feeling so lucky and grateful to get this opportunity to meet Amber and Purple Eye’s cubs. I hope I can witness all of them grow up strong and well. What a great testimony to the trust between the Nkuhumas and the safariLIVE team. Purple Eye was absolutely relaxed when Tristan showed up, even closing her eyes and resting. If a lioness wasn't relaxed and trusting of people in vehicles, she would not lie down and let her cubs crawl all over. A triumph of conservancy to have this kind of sighting!💕🦁💕
Katherine Uribe I so agree!!! So awesome how she looks over at Tristan and you can practically see her mental "meh" of nonchalance just before she cozily commits to lying her head down. And thats how the new generation becomes habituated that vehicles are a non issue. 😊

Purple Eye gives Tristan such a soft accepting look, she is showing she is comfortable with him around. Tristan has such an AWESOME way with these Preditors. They just become so relaxed, and fall asleep. They have built such a trust in him. If it wasn't that way, she would growl at him and hide her babies... It’s interesting how the other lioness didn’t approach directly, but laid some distance away. Even when the one cub came up to her she didn’t move a muscle. She obviously knows mom is a bit touchy. Look at Mom herding the one at 11:20 - she doesn’t really want them to be around anyone else. No wonder they weren’t seen for several weeks.
