    HOMESCHOOL LANGUAGES has an amazing curriculum! We are on week 9 and they have made huge progress compared to a different program I used for over a year.

    Love your videos! So happy to see you’re back ☺️ thank you for sharing the American Girl Unit studies. I can’t wait to check it out. I wish I was near you so I could join your co-op lol it’s such a cute idea! As for questions, I’m curious how you balance life as a homeschool mom? More specifically time to workout and if you ever have time away for yourself? Besides homeschool burnout, being a stay at home mom in general is a lot

      Would love to dive into that! It’s been a journey trying to find that balance but it’s definitely something my husband and I have always understood to be a non negotiable. He helps push me when I’m in my funks and need to get out and have a break, but being stubborn (and introverted 😅) and just wanting to stay home.
      Can add to my list of upcoming videos to do more of a day in the life/sit down convo to share what we do to balance things 😊

    Love curriculum picks! We are in a public virtual school in our state and I think it is similar to California charter schools. We’ve been in it for 4 years now. Love it!
    I’m a new subscriber. I also have a homeschool youtube channel.

      @@tayshabib Indiana. I don’t know how similar it is, but we are able to get educational items or classes with the funding, we are required to do state testing and turn in work every few weeks.

    Definitely look into Kate Snow’s Preschool Math at Home for TK. Your charter school funds will cover the book too. We used it alongside the gentle and classical preschool curriculum and loved it! They are simple activities that build upon each other and are really well thought out. You might also like the gentle and classical preschool…they focus on letters, numbers, manners, hygiene, bible, theology, art and music, but do it in a very simple way! And for Spanish I would look into “Homeschool Languages” I haven’t used it, but it looks pretty cool and hands on for kids. Looks like a fun year though!

      Someone else in the comments suggested Homeschool Languages as well! Definitely will look into those! Now that you mention it I think I bought the gentle and classical preschool curriculum years ago so I’ll try to pull that back out and try that out with my little. Thank you for the recs! 🥰

    45 states have charter schools. Ca gives you funds when you are on a charter school. They are considered public schools and come with various stipulations.

      @tayshabib  Před 3 měsíci

      Good to know! I had a handful of people on TT asking because they’d never heard of charter schools in their state. So that’s interesting…I wonder if it’s just not talked about in other states or just not emphasized because funds aren’t included? 🤔

      @@tayshabib That is a good question. 🤔 I didn’t know much about them when I homeschooled my kids. We did the PSA. We do option #3 (California) and teach him under my daughter’s credential. I’m glad there’s so many options these days.

      @@melinathornton we started with a PSA but had enough friends who went with charters for the funds, they influenced us haha. Financially it just made sense for us with four kids and the cost of any sports or classes is INSANE now 😅
