    Are you looking for the best pod or capsule coffee machine for your home or office? Today I take at look at the Nespresso Vertuo pod coffee machine, and see if it is really any good. Nespresso was long been known as the king of podded espresso, but how does it do with a regular cup of coffee? In this video we’ll go over the build quality and ease of use, how long it takes to brew a cup of coffee, and of course dive into how that coffee tastes? Can Nespresso live up to it’s reputation as the best pod coffee system? Are pod coffee machines worth it? Let’s find out!

      each capsual is a differant size so the one you used it for an 8oz mug as it is a coffee capsule also each capsule has a different intensity rating and different profiles on how they would taste or should taste and everything . they give a great description on there site and the one use used was the Decafe www.nespresso.com/us/en/order/capsules/vertuo/decaffeinato-vertuo-coffee-pods

    I bought a Breville Vertuo just over a week ago. I absolutely love it. I don't drink espresso, but I make capuccinos and lattes. They always taste great and I especially like the lack of mess. I've owned a Jura and a Miss Sylvia and never was able to make a consistently good espresso with either of them. This machine is great.

    So the crema is supposed to be stirred after the brewing process. This will return all that flavor back into the coffee itself. This machine literally got me onto black coffee its so smooth. And their flavor range can suit everyone’s pallet. Unlike K-Cups which flavor stops at 4 or 5, nespresso goes to 12!

  • @Albertojedi
    @Albertojedi Před 2 lety +1

    You may get a bolder coffee size flavor if you use a higher intensity capsule like the Stormio, Intenso or Odacio. Your red capsule is a Decaffeinato with an intensity of 6. Not light, but not bold either.

    My son, let the pod's spin, allow the Crèma illusion.. to be believed!
    For it is a far better thing to discard a hermetically sealed aluminium capsule
    (the optimal way to lock in freshness once the coffee is harvested and processed in its country of origin preventing oxidation)
    ...than to face the mess factor and subsequent cleanup caused by ground espresso!
    Simplicity can be beautiful!

  • @porkchopspapi5757
    @porkchopspapi5757 Před 4 lety +3

    Just so you know. Real crema does not require fresh ground coffee, just the right amount of pressure. I make excellent creamy not foamy espresso using pre ground coffee in my little plastic $60 Nanopresso. It just takes a bit of trial & error. But it is a lot of labor. And to get a double shot requires additional purchase of their barista kit. I use 40 pumps to get my best coffee. I guess it's a good upper body workout.

    Believe it or not, I bought a brand new Nespresso Vertuo at a garage sale last year. Best pod system I ever owned. I also have a Keurig because it was too expensive to brew with the Vertuo pods all the time. A month ago I bought silicone caps instead of foil to try refilling the pods without the fuss. Then I tried something else. I emptied a K-cup into the Nespresso pod. If you use a bold pod and tamp it down slightly it makes a better cup than in the Keurig. I'd like to see a video where you either refill a used pod or use one of the reusable ones now on the market for this machine. I'd recommend the silicone top though. No accidental leaking of grounds.

  • @sherifayal9879
    @sherifayal9879 Před 4 lety +5

    Great presentation! I like lattes and I have both the Kuerig and this machine. I considered getting rid of both and purchasing the Nespresso Original mostly because the pods are more available and cheaper. However, I decided to dedicate time to the Vertuoline machine before discarding it altogether. After making a "proper" latte, I found it gave me pretty much what I wanted. Also, I realized that the Original machine does not make coffee. The Vertuoline makes both coffee and espresso depending on the size of the capsule you use. My dislikes about the machine are the foam and the reduced availability of purchasing the capsules- many companies make and sell the Original line pods but for some reason, not the capsules. I hope the makers of Nespresso Vertuoline will consider opening up the capsule market so other companies can sell the capsules. I hope the makers will also find a way to program the capsules to not make "crema" when making a cup of coffee.

    • @Albertojedi
      @Albertojedi Před 2 lety

      You can remove the foam with a spoon, though I don't see the point. In my opinion its one of the characteristics that set the Vertuoline apart from the others. It makes the coffee super creamy, specially when you top it with a nice frothed french vainilla creamer. In regards to cheaper compatible capsules, Target and other retailers sell Starbucks Vertuo compatible capsules. So far they are the only ones endorsed by Nespresso, though they don't seem to taste as good as the originals in accordance with some reviewers here in CZcams.

    • @LifestyleLab_
      @LifestyleLab_  Před 3 lety

      For under $200 you aren't going to find a "real" at home espresso machine. The cheapest machine thats a step up from Nespresso is the Breville Bambino (not Bambino Plus).
      Under $200, Nespresso classic is definitely your best bet

    According to all I have read the foam on the top is supposed to be stirred back into the coffee once it has finished brewing as it contains all the oils. Secondly you also didn’t allow the cup to completely finish its brewing. Each pod uses a set amount of water to create the perfect cup. Considering you were doing a review would have made sense to use the right cup?? Especially when considering the taste of the coffee.
