Have shrimpers for 30 years, love it. My dad taught me, the drag onT boat was out there when I was a kid. I know Kenny also.

My dad was a shrimper all of his life, he was Cajun born from Louisiana. Everything changed when they were made to put teds on their nets! This made it very hard to keep the shrimp from going through the holes in the teds! From then on everything got worse! Then came the farmed shrimp that was tough and has a bad taste and smell! God bless our shrimpers. My dad was Jessie J. Lachico and ran many boats, then he owned about 4 boats. 😢

I lived on the MS Gulf Coast almost 50 years ago. Wife and I would go to the docks and buy right from the shrimp boats. We always supported the commercial fishermen. This video was shot in 2008, it was hard on them then, but I wonder how they will make it out of this mess we're in in 2022. Folks, our government has betrayed this country. Imports are killing us. Small business is on its way out, mega corporations will run everything along with the gov. Truckers, shrimpers, farmers, mom and pop stores etc. Will be gone. Shame.
