I love baskets! If I could, my whole house would be filled with baskets all over
We had the same metal ice trays when I was younger in our refrigerator .
I totally agree with sellers needing to hang cloth items if they really want to sell them. I am far more likely to pass up a pile of linens as opposed to those being neatly hung for easy viewing. Taking that extra step shows you are serious about your items and serious about your customers. Thank you for another fun vlog.
I agree! Thank you 😊 and you’re welcome.
Not me. I'll dig. Digging is the fun part. I go through a store very slowly. Not like some that fly through.
I prefer when they are hanging up, but when I have a yard sale I sold more clothes when I took them off hangers and just threw them on a table.
i loved the wild turkey picture at the first place you stopped at.
I know. So unique!
i got a coffee like that 49 years ago for a wedding gift. Still have it Love it.
My mom had the clear coffee pot you picked up that she put on the stove when I was a kid in the 60's. My son bought a complete one (not always easy to find) in really good shape at Goodwill and later sold it for a pretty good price on Facebook Marketplace. I love seeing old things that grandma and mom had used when I was a kid. Brings back warm memories of family members that have passed.
I have that exact set of Corelle dishes from my wedding in 1971! Wearever! Hard to find anything Corelle in my area, nobody gets rid of them!---I enjoy the music button you push for the edits!
I had the glass stove top percolator from New circa 1973. I used it daily for years until the centre stalk broke.we refashioned it until all the other pieces died too. I used it as a stove top kettle for a bit, but the glass got cloudy with mineral deposits. I didn't like that, so gave it away. If you do decide to go for it, you will need a trivit. Ours was a piece of bent wire that the kettle sat on while on the electric stove heating , it came with the percolator.
Loved those corelle coffee cups! They were something.
I love looking at old china patterns. I live in a single wide mobile home with not much space but I can't resist thrift stores!
I have used a French Press to make coffee for at least 25 years now. For me, it is the best and the easiest way to make and enjoy coffee. :)
Enjoyed your video so much! Thanks for sharing!
Great idea using Corelle cups as scoops!! Love the look
I really like the look of the recipe box with the curve on the cover. Please show us when you do your makeover. I certainly remember when you purchased the vintage ice trays and planted your seeds in them. You will probably do it again this year and place them in the little pots you recently thrifted.
That recipe box would be a cute salt holder
I grew up with your seed ice trays. They are still the best ice trays out there!!
I love your heart for thrifting you are amazing!!!
Love all of your great ideas and usage of items👍🙋♀️
I am so glad you rescued the recipe box
Vintage Corelle cups I love the blue
Lots of blue and white things just for that little blue and white them you liked
I just ❤️❤️going to the thrift store 🏬 with and 👀 at what you buy for your home 🏡 😊
Loved the decanter and lots of other things you purchased
We used those ice trays when I was a kid.
I like my coffee black and I like the pods because there is never grounds in the bottom of my cup! For years I hated coffee because of the grounds. I had a West Ben pot, a Corning wear and a Mr Coffee. I had grounds with all. I have had my Keyring five years and NEVER any! 💜☕☕
The recipe box is adorable as is!!!!
The curved front/lid of the recipe box you got makes it so unique. I was hoping you’d bought it!
We have that exact coffee pot that makes wonderful coffee. We bought it complete at an estate sale several years ago. 7 minutes of perking makes the coffee to suit our taste. But on a day to day basis, we use an electric percolator from an estate sale also. So much better tasting coffee than from a coffee maker.
I spent 11 years in Germany and I traveled all over Europe. At 11:12, you picked up a very vintage Delft Candle Holder from Holland. The very vintage Delft is always in cursive writing. I love the stuff. My kitchen is blue, and I also have 102 pieces of my Grandmothers Currier & Ives.
Oh how awesome. 102. Wow!
I remember the ice trays!!
I do have a smaller Pyrex glass coffee pot that you showed. I like to make my tea on the stove top, then let it steep. Love mine.
Yes it is Corelle. This is my pattern my husband and I got for our wedding shower. We got all the pieces that went with the set. I have enjoyed them so much over the years. The wooden box would work great for stamps storage. I have one someone gave me as a gift. It sits on my desk and is very handy.
Oh that’s awesome. I’m keeping an eye out.
I inherited my grandmothers set!
You might want to remeasure the flour, that is a liquid measuring cup 😊 great video!
You got some cool things. Great video!!
I have a metal perculator I absolutely love the coffee stays hot 13:36
I have a lg sauce bowl that was my granny k's. It's the same as the Currier and Ives plate you showed in the 1st stop early in the video. Yes digging in and around and under things is the fun part of going to those places. I hate it when it's all laid out tidy. Booooring. 😊
That green floral plate is indeed Corelle. Has my heart and seems to be one of the harder designs to find! I have snagged a few here and there. Bowls too. :swoon:
I'll be in Galveston this March. Maybe I'll see you there. I'm just a year around shopper, and I live the Second Hand Life. Love your ideas.
Oh I hope you have fun! And absolutely!
I have several coffee pots because I think all make coffee different. I have a stove top percolator I like it makes great coffee. Bonnie Harwood
Thank you for letting me know.
❤ the measuring scoopss
😁
That was a very enjoyable video. Thank you.
Oh, my, those gold glasses that were $5...I was cleaning house about a year ago and dropped 8 of those off at Goodwill. Who knew. I also had a couple of the shorter ones. 😏 Hmm. Live and learn.
Love the recipe box.
I liked the bowl and chicken napkin rings better there
Have a great week, Julie!
Thank you 😊
I’d. Put sugar (sweetener packets ) packets in your hand painted recipe box.
I use to have that coffee pot loved it, sold it, not I wished I had not
I have the whole set of green corelle dishes. Love them. Looking for the coffee mugs to go with them. Thanks for the video.
Julie, I just love your styling ❤️
Thank you 😊
Julie! Stop! I have been around long enough to actually use those "antique" ice cube trays. Lol
🤣🤣🤣 sorry lol.
😲😲😲😲😲 all those blue dishes $3 and $4 ?!!! Wowwww!! What is this place? I'm in the area and I'll drive 😳🤣🤣🤣
Ok...did you go into a different place??😳 the first things were sooo cheap and then!!! $45 for the cast iron cornbread pan?!! I thought I was gonna die 😳😳😳
It was in Jacksonville 😁. And I know! Prices outside were good then inside it was sticker shock.
Hi Julie you found some nice things. 🌻🐓🌻
Thank you 😊
I have one of those Pyrex coffee pots, it was my moms and it makes great coffee!!
NICE SHOP-A-LONG! TFS!! 🥰
So glad you picked up the recipe box!
My mother had that green Correll set.
Thanks for showing us different ways to use our items from thrifting pieces ! You gave me a few new ways to style !
It was so fun to see the old shops, I love walking through those places with things just tossed about.
Thank you 😊
Coffee brewed in an old fashion perkulator is the best!
My grandparents had those metal ice cube trays. Brings back memories!
It's always a good day when you have a good thrift haul and thrifted styling in your beautiful home. Thank you for sharing ♥️
I'm not a big fan of digging anymore due to back issues. Never minded before though. I use cups, or enamel ware cups for scoops also. Fun trip!
I have a Corning ware coffee pot. My husband absolutely loves the coffee made in it.
Thank you 😊
I love how you layer things! I really liked that second store, lots of good stuff!
Oh my word! I remember using these and I hated the screechy noise it made when you emptied it!
You have an eye for prospective decorations. Thanks
Thank you ☺️
Great haul. Loved the saucers you left behind. Love the recipe box. Have a great weekend.
Love the Syracuse china small plate and how you styled it❤.
Love the layering!
Thank you 😊
Julie I also like the spring daisy corelle dishes, I would love to find a set, I recently got a set of the Pyrex mixing bowls that match them, I was so excited !💕
Oh how fun!
Love the idea of using quilt top for curtain. You have great styling ideas.
I love your styling!
Hey Julie, the antique shop was awesome! So many unique items, thanks for sharing with us. Watching all the way from Puerto Rico.
A great thrift haul Julie especially the cups and the wooden recipe box , absolutely love the shape of that . Have a blessed Sunday.
I enjoy thrifting with you. You give lots of helpful tips, look up, look down, dig!!!! Morning coffee and Thrilled Thrifter video!!!
Great haul of some very great pieces, and I always love to see how you style them in your beautiful home. 💜💜💜
Such cute treasures🌿
Thank you 😊
I like your shopping style
Gooood luck
Hi Julie, that was a fun trip, you always find such cute items. I like how you show things that you have purchased other places and how you styled them. I just have to tell you that the Gone With the Wind book you showed is one of my favorite books to read of all times…I read it first as a teenager and am now 66 and cannot count how many times I have read it over the years…in fact it might be time to read it again 🥰
Hi Julie! I saw some beautiful little teacups that would make some great candles. Hmm I think I'll put that on my gift list for next Christmas. I can't wait to see what you do with that adorable little recipe box. This was a great little video. Hi to Elizabeth and her friend 👋. We'll see ya next time and God bless!
I love Corelle dishes too! Got rid of my heavy everyday dishes years ago and got a set of Corelle and haven’t looked back. I have found several pieces at Goodwill to add to my set, as it is now discontinued. Love the cups in your canisters! Would like to see a house tour of how you have things styled after Christmas, you have great ideas! Thank you for sharing your awesome finds! ❤️🏡
I planted seeds in my ice tray as well and it was amazing
Oh how fun!
You have a such a creative designer mind. Always love your designs in your home. ❤️
Thank you ☺️
I love the little recipe boxes ! I have several that I have redone . I keep the markers to my white board in one . They are handy but out of sight !!!
Oh that’s a great idea!!
HAPPY Friday Julie, family, and fur babies. Hi Madeline. Thanks for the tips and decor. SHARED TO THE BURGH
Thank you 😊
Hi Julie. Yes, I remember those ice trays with the handles. I am old enough to remember using them for their intended purpose, yikes! What a great idea you came up with for your your starter plants. Country girls know how to improvise. Your Corelle coffee cups look so pretty in your glass canisters against your counter tops and the galvanized pieces you have. I also liked your chicken napkin rings. Sooo country. I hope God blesses you and yours with a good weekend. A Nana in Texas. ☺️
Thank you so much sweet friend!
Wow! That first place was expensive on many items. I loved how you showed your previous finds and how much cheaper they were than that store.
Those ice cube trays are great for left over coffee the ice cubes are great in iced coffee. Same for tea for iced tea.
I have a glass perculater just like the one you showed. I've had it for years and use it when my electric goes out. My stove is propane so I can still have my coffee. I love the taste of coffee made in it. Nice and strong. If it wasn't for dealing with the coffee grounds, I'd use it a lot. There was one at the hospital that was being used as a vase. So pretty.
Oh thank you for letting me know. I appreciate you!
Marlene peters- loved everything. The recipe box is totally cute. You love chickens or roosters and baskets. They look cute on the lovely shaped box. Have a grrat week! Blessings.
Love your haul. I allways enjoy thrifting with you. Have a great weekend. Love you, love your videos.
Thank you 😊
I have found pieces for my good dishes at the thrift stores that I didn’t know existed. That was good advise Julie ❤️ I bought extra dishes also as my family grew to match them also, so I have enough now for the whole family. 🥰
Oh nice! I see so many beautiful dishes out thrifting.
I have a complete 8 place settings of the Old Town Blue Corelle dinnerware, the pattern of the cups you bought for scoops. And what a great idea!
I love silver plated silverware and those transferware dishes soo pretty! Pretty on the wall forsure.oh I love the corn cooker looks cute as decor and Turkey picture cute.I love those chickens napkin rings!!!
Thank you 😊
I just read an article that Corelle dishes made prior to 2005 may contain lead. The plates with the green flowers around the border is one of the patterns listed. Please test the plate you found before investing in a set for your everyday dinnerware! I'm off to buy a test kit for the dishes that I have in a different pattern
In this crazy world, I love escaping into your cozy world. Much love!
Thank you 😊
Love the antique ice tray idea! I really hope you picked up the Gone With the Wind book! I really should wait till the end to see if you did or not, but if I don't comment now I will forget later
I just love the way you do your videos. Your home is so beautiful Geri Foster
Thank you 😊
My mom has the Corel dishes with the green flowers. She’s had them forever! The old ice tray brought back memories. I did away with my keurig over a year ago. It became too expensive. Plus, I love the sound of coffee dripping into the carafe. Loved the recipe box! Enjoyed the video!
Oh me too on the coffee!
Hi Julie! I was hoping you’d purchase the delftware candle holder but you didn’t! Delft is made in the Netherlands and was exclusively blue and white but there are other colors now. It refers to any tin glazed earthenware and the pieces are collectible. Delft tiles are very expensive so if you come across one, snatch it up! I have one that was a gift from many years ago and I wanted to get a couple more until I saw the prices!🙀
Hate to tell you, but you should Google Correlle dishes and lead. There are several patterns from 80's era, including the green pattern you want, that have lead in the paint. Just thought you might want to know.
