I will take you on so many thrift with me shopping trips, share my thrift hauls and almost always show you how I use my thrift finds in my home. I post every Friday and sometimes on Tuesday. The silhouette picture is cute.Perhaps you can find a tiny frame with a piece of glass you can use with it. Framing the old sheet music i have and I love it. Also an old Saturday Evening post picture. I really enjoy watching you work through the pros and cons of each item and already having a place for it or not. There is so much to be said for that alone as most do impulse buys or retail therapy. Good lessons you share....so much more value. God bless.
I appreciate this so much. Thank you 😊 !
😮😮g.
Loved the duck family
I love your vidoes Julie. I also have three daughters that are adults. I love your ideas and how you place everything. It's so much fun. 😊
Love watching .. it’s so nice to see an old house brought back to life!

@@ThrilledThrifter thank you so much
@@sarahwilliams3250 thank you Sarah
Sending a little prayer from Alabama to give you strength and peace at this sad time!!!💕
GoodWill is outrages with their prices..
They forget they get the iteams free from us!!
They would have to close their doors if they had no Donations..
Can't wait for Friday Video..❤
I agree. And Thank you 😊!
yes I agree I talked to one of the workers and was complaining about them charging more even when it is a dollar tree item she said to point it out to the cashier and they should lower it.
Seen them selling those priority mailers you pickup for free at the post office!
The silhouette picture is adorable!
Homemadevintage would love that lil silhouette ❣️
Julie your vintage bowl was made by Lofisa Ceramics, Guadalajara, Mexico. They were in business from the 1870's thru the 1970's. I love it, chips and all!! 😁😁
Thank you 😊!
I watched an old video of things you Won’t buy.
I agree 100000000%
The frame came out very cute! Perfect placement 👍🏼
The wooden piece you picked up at 1:50 looked to me to be a carrier for six coasters. Thanks for sharing how you style your finds with us.
Thank you 😊!
Yes. It holds coasters. 👍🏻
I love that you take me with you thrift shopping. ! I don’t get to go much so I enjoy watching you thrift ! Thank you so much ! Have a great evening
Thank you for coming Penny 😊!
The cookie cutters were awesome!
so happy to be back on line after our big move from georgia to michigan and to be able to watch your videos again
That fram worked perfect. You got some fun things.
Ive told you many times you're my favorite channel...ive gotten so many ideas & implemented them in my home. The prices in thrift stores are going up because i think they're watching different channels & seeing how popular vintage things are now...everything on Marketplace are listed as Vintage now. Keep up the good work.
For the wood spoon bracket you can display handkerchiefs in each slot.
Hi Julie, Love that the Store Manager was giving you price adjustments 😂. You will love this, last week at my favorite GW I found a late 1960’s silver plate ice bucket for $2.99, the price was amazing in My area, New Jersey. I took it home, polished it up and realized it would not work in my vignette. Oh well , we live and learn, donated it back to the same GW and it was now marked $9.99 Wow, that was quite a mark up! I don’t get it, with the cost of basic living needs, food, gas, electric and all, GW should really reevaluate their current ridiculous prices, keeping in mind, they get all these donations for Free!
I also love ironstone pieces, especially from England. To clean off the rim on the bottom of a piece, grab your Mr. Clean white sponge, the age and dirt marks are quickly eliminated.
Thanks for another Fun video ❤️👍❤️
You make my days!!! I have many hours invested in decorating your home with you!!!😅
Oh how awesome. I’m so glad you’re here to help. I appreciate you so much.
Vintage/antique cooky cutters are made of aluminum. Can't have too many mirrors. I've seen spoon holders used to display vintage hankies. Neck roll pillows and lumbar when priced well are good buys regardless of color - they can be recovered. Vintage colanders can be used as hanging planters.
That little picture reminds me of Elizabeth to.😊
Wooden slotted thing is a toast holder, the metal thingy at the beginning it a spool holder for a loom. You can see in the marking of the white plate Guadalajara Mexico, by Lofisa
The vintage star colander - at Christmas time, I fill mine with greens and a string of lights, looks very cool. The white bowl hallmark looks like it says Guadalajara Mexico
Perfectly me little haul…
THE OLD TINS ARE SOME LIKE I HAVE IN THE LATE 50'S & EARLY 60'S BECAUSE Ì AM 77 YRS. OLD AND I BAKED A LOT COOKIES, I HAD 5 BROTHERS , MY SISTER & I!!!
1:49 maybe for coasters ❤️🙏
Thank you 😊!
@@ThrilledThrifter 👍
I absolutely loved ok so forward to seeing your videos. I have just recently started watching CZcams and I have binged watched your channel and now I want to redo every room in my house. You have a beautiful style. ❤
I have my colanders on my patio with pansies in looks great
The ducks came from Woolworth wow that us really vintage I remember when I was younger we use to go shopping it was nice and the price
Metal cookie cutters without a lip are vintage, with a lip are 50’s and up, it wasn’t until 1903 they began to make the cutters. Until
Then they used cookie presses to make a design on the top. Most get these confused and think they’re butter Pat molds.
You introduced me to Warren Kimball’s art. I found an adorable black and white rabbit plate of his last week. Thanks for all your inspiration Julie🐇
Oh how fun! You’re very welcome.
You also got me interested in Warren Kimball's art and I found 3 little pictures of his, a cow, sheep and pig. I love them. Thank you for your inspirations.
18:00 White chipped bowl is Mexican pottery. Probably Guadalajara. Silhouette is precious
Love your finds! Fun scores
That does remind me of Elizabeth! So cute 🥰
I love your videos! I like the fact that you are shopping for yourself/decorating rather than reselling. Nothing wrong with reselling at all! You give me some great ideas! And I am definitely like you in that I don't mind chips in old dishes/glassware. In my mind, that shows that it has been used. I much prefer the vintage dishes with chips than something that is in pristine condition in the original box. To me, that shows that Mamaw got it for Christmas and then put it up in the closet!😀 Thanks for great shopping trips!
At 3.45 min green covered bowl by IKEA. Not sure what it is used for but it would be a good ashtray. My late mother in law bought similar from a pottery shop. The breeze can’t blow ashes all over the place as it’s covered.
Call me cheap but I thought a lot of their prices high!
I love your ideas and you do inspire me!
I constantly ring those spoon collector shelves and I’m dying to see what you do!
Ha ha ha! The metal stand was a valve for an engine. I guess it could be used as decor. ❤
OMG! I’ve been hunting for those spoon holders! I’m going to put my vintage handkerchiefs in the slots!
I love that idea!!!!❤
Great stuff loved it
Our goodwill is getting so expensive can't wait for garage sales!
I know right!
More and more thriftstores know antique and vintagebrands.
Why they prise it up so high girl
That vase/urn was probably Balique and then you pay for the name
Ancor Smith yep another brand
Faux plants are so ecpensive here and rarely I find them at the thriftstore
Home sweet home, I love that piece!
I would love a spoonholder but never find them here
I m so jealous of your thriftstore for the pillows and linnens and old books
Those duckies are adorable!
I love both frames
I love old colanders. I own several to as decor one and one in use
You are grate in layering! Inspiering every time!
Thank you for sharing. Have a blessed week XXX
See you friday X
Just a little tip you have a Google camera you may have to download it and if you scan a picture of the item, it will tell you what it is
My grandmother had the dish with the broken birds. I guess my aunt got to it before I did. It still might be mine one day. Haha Don't tell her I said that!
Hi 👋
Thanks for your wonderful videos.
I watch you from windsor canada 🇨🇦
I love what you did w the little ceramic frame & the silhouette. That's the perfect vintage accent piece!
That wooden piece held coasters.
Love it!
Hey great video. It looks like your goodwill has caught the pricing up bug like ours! Lol😊
LOVED THE VIDEO AND ALL THE WONDERFUL FINDS!
Hey Julie, another good trip. I only really liked the purple flowers at .30 and the red platter at 6:42. Shame on you for not taking your own advice about thinking on it in the buggy lol.
Julie, I saw another CZcamsr use a spoon display rack like you found for displaying pretty printed vintage handkerchiefs in. It was so adorable. Blessings to you and your family.
I ❤your colander! My mom had the same one when I was growing up!
Thank you 😊!
I have that exact same collender. I think everyone had one back in the last century (mid-century).
Goodwills in my area have risen their prices even more! It’s ridiculous. I try to stick to thrift smaller stores with more reasonable prices. I love that when you don’t know what an item is, I can scroll through comments and someone knows.
*Julie, @**1:47** the wooden item you asked about is a man's vanity butler. It was made for the top of his dresser to empty his pockets into at the end of the day. The compartments are for loose change, tie tacks, cufflinks, folding money 💵 that was tucked into a money clip, and any business cards or important little pieces of paper the man had to carry in his pants 👖 pockets or the breast pockets of his suit coat....because remember - back in the day when this wooden caddy was manufactured - everybody wore suits and ties 👔 to go to work, unless you worked in the trades. Even then, it was a helpful tool as a corral for change at his day's end. 😊*
Oh I can see it now. Thank you so much Leslie!
@@ThrilledThrifter *My pleasure, Julie...my Dad had one that was similar to it when I was growing up❣️😊*
That silhouette looks a lot like your daughter, very pretty 🤩 enjoyed the show❣️
I buy the little ducks all the time. Not an old set like yours but I craft with them. The Colander i put a round piece of wood with half inch holes drilled in board in it to make it flat. Put fairy lights in the colander an set a beautiful antique pitcher on top with a doilie under pitcher. The holes in wood round does not show but the holes let the light shine up on pitcher too... It lighted up area and looks so pretty. So from you I learned the importance of risers and this was made for a friends house. Now I want one for myself. Love you Julie you feel like someone I have known forever not someone I only know from youtube. Even my hubby and my girls know you because I talk about you all the time. hugs Sheryl from Greenwood Indiana 💙🎨💙
Your little silhouette picture is perfect. I love old dishes and bowls too. I notice some of hour GW items have gone up, but in ours the new sheets would be forty dollars. I like to use the beautiful colander on my old wood wall with twinkle lights behind it. We went to an estate sale Saturday. There were so so many old items. I got an old 1923 book. The man was a woodworker and I got a little whittled beaver...he is perfection. I got an old field watch for servicemen..think 1950s item. All items I bought were one dollar. There was beautiful furniture but I can not use any more. Always enjoy "seeing " you Julie.♡♡♡♡
Thank you so much Rita 😊!
My goodness, those plates were so pretty with the high prices!!! They are not really wanting to sell them at that price. Thank you for taking us with you.
spoon holders/calendar holders can be made into fun messaging centers using scrabble letters, etc. Fun way to reuse pretty wood pieces.
Hey, Julie!👋 I get excited going on thrift haul with you! I love the way you stacked the white bowl, napkins, and plants together. What a great idea! I think I’ll try that. I’ll have to use a artificial plant because there’s not an sun light where I want to put the arrangement 🙏🫶🥰❤️
If the tin is darkish The cookie cutters are usually old if they have some solder on them or weld that should also be darkish. I have an old one that I had to repair and unfortunately it got brighter.
Happy Tuesday Julie. I was watching your Thrift store video with my daughter. She was sitting on the soft computer chair while I made Rollers on her hair. She said, " I won't pay $10.00 for that item." I said, "Me neither." Today my husband and I stop at Sam's Club to buy water, Thomas Bagels, Pork Chops, Rotisserie Chicken and Tissue Paper and plates. Then picked up our daughter from college and went to Target to buy some food items and I bought a Mother's Day dress to wear it when we go to Longwood Garden. We washed the car when we got home and polish it. Too much pollen during Spring. Take care. 😃🥰🌺💞💖💝
Thank y’all so much for watching!
I watch another thrifting lady who painted her spoon holder a chalk green, made it look old and gathers her vintage hanky's and places them into the spoon slots with their embroidery/design showing, it was gorgeous! Can't wait to hear your design!
Also, the Homer Laughlin white, ironstone platter for 4.29 is a steal. They’ve shot up to 20-30 a piece here.
I have seen where people use those wooden spoon collectors shelves to display vintage doilies and handkerchiefs
cool ideas , like but the cutest was the frame with silhouette !
Thank you 😊!
Really like how you styled the bowl and silhouette in the white frame. Perfectly lovely!
Marlene peters-the prices were really high on some of those items you were looking! Those baby ducks were so cute. They would make cute Embellishments in a baskets with some tiny flowers and plants and branches. So sweet. I love silhouette and frameYou put them in. I loved it. Just cozy and warm. God's blessings to you and your family!
I’m just getting started on my channel-doing thrift trips and hauls too!
Your new strainer would get really clean with Magic Marker and then soap wash. Love your silhouette picture, good idea!
Thank you 😊!
nice shopping
Thank you 😊!
I hang antique hankies in the wooden spoon racks
Oh how fun! Thank you for the idea!
The stamp on the bowl is Lofisa pottery, a Mexican pottery in business from the late 1800s to early 1980s. Good find!
2:50 Duck family item from Woolworth the last Woolworth department store closed back in 1997 that was some old little miniature ducks
Thank you 😊!
I just bought a smaller silhouette picture frame wooden round and a brass hook . It’s in my half bath in our basement . Love yours .
Absolutely love watching your videos..have gotten many great ideas ❤❤❤
Thank you so much 😊!
The wood piece looks to be a coaster holder. My mother had something similar to that
Thank you 😊!
The silhouette picture looks so cute in that frame. It looked great on top of the books on your shelf. Can’t wait to see what you do with the vintage colander. See you Friday!
Thank you 😊!
I always love your videos, Julie! I’d love to thrift with you!! 💗
Thank you 😊!
Thy have really mark their prices up!
Yes! I thought It was just me.
I bought a small flashed glass pitcher at the Salvation Army store on my Arizona trip, half off sticker.
When I got to the cash register, I pointed out to my Sister that it had been broken & reglued. It needed a home, & I didn't care that it was broken, because it had been done nicely. & only cost 99cents. So it joins the other 200+ pieces on my shelf!---I didn't see a price on that Corelle plate. It's hard to find in my area (not that I need it!) But my Sister & I did find a few unique Corelle dishes on our Arizona trip & were both excited to buy them (really inexpensively too)!---I hope you thanked the manager who gave you the discount. No explanation on your part was necessary.
I can't get over high prices on some of those items!!
I know. It’s crazy.
The silhouette picture is lovely and goes perfectly in the frame , I also love the colander with the stars 🌟 Happy Tuesday Julie!
Love your treasures and how you displayed them gorgeous!
You found so many cute items. I wish my thrift stores were good but they never have nice items like you find. Maybe that is why I enjoy watching you go thrifting. As always, I enjoyed this video.
A collinder would make a nice light fixture or lamp shade
Yes!
The wooden piece was a coaster holder.
❤love that owl mug ☕️ it was cute,Goodwill has gotten ridiculous with some prices, thanks for sharing your thrifting adventure 🤗
Thank you Tammy 😊!
That OWL mug is a JAPAN piece.....it's probably marked made in Japan on the bottom under the sticker. Japan anything in porcelain pieces are all the rage. I specifically only buy Japan ceramic pieces.
I got that SAME crock jug at my goodwill this week for only $4.99!!
Hi Julie what beautiful finds. Oh your thrift store is getting as high on prices as we have here. 🌻🐓🌻
Thank you 😊! And I know 😩
Nice haul Julie. I knew you would get the strainer! The silhouette picture looks beautiful! See you Friday….🥰❤️
Love your thrifting videos. You give such great ideas on how to decorate with antique finds. For example I have never thought of putting a pothos plant in a soup tureen. I have some rooted pothos now so guess what I am on the look for?? Thanks for all the great ideas Julie!!
Cool
Wow, them prices have really jumped up
That ceramic frame looks like it's meant to have a small light in it to light a photo. I seen a similar one lit with an old negative. 😍
I think the wooden piece might be for holding coasters.
Hi Julie , always enjoy Thrifting with you.I just can't believe the prices GoodWill has on their items . Blessing to You and Your Family.🙏💜🤗
Thank you Connie 😊!
