What you have to remember, is that even in his battle with Sasuke, he has been fighting to lose. Itachi has always attempted to avoid conflict at all costs. He has to maintain his cover as an Akatsuki member, so he has to make viable excuses to avoid battle. When he says that fighting Jiraiya would have serious consequences, we know that he has an innate desire not to fight anyone at all, let alone a hero of the leaf, and he was a spy protecting Konoha from shadows. He could have killed Kakashi with ease. Kakashi even states that Itachi could have killed him, and wondered why he didn't. Knowing this, it is easy to see the pieces that point to a picture of Itachi that is devastatingly powerful in combat. In his confrontation with Asuma and Kurenai when he enters Konoha, we see him send Kurenai flying a large distance with a simple kick. We also see him deflect chidori, and snap Sasuke's arm like a twig with a single hand. He also sends Sasuke flying clear down the hallway with another kick in this fight. He is obviously a powerful, versatile, unpredictable and underrated taijutsu user. We know that he can kill with a glance using Tsukyoumi or Amaterasu, and become nearly invincible with his Susanoo. We see him use exploding clones, (it's his one of his unpredictability in his fighting way approach) powerful genjutsu not linked to his sharingan, ( with a single point of a one of his fingers) and making hand seals at insane speeds. He kicks the shit out of Kakashi and he barely moves. Tobi also tells us himself that Itachi could have killed him if it weren't for carefully guarded secrets. Orochimaru beats Tsunade and Jiraiya without the use of his arms. Granted, Jiraiya was drugged, but it's still the point. Orochimaru couldn't use seals at all. Itachi obliterated Orochimaru effortlessly. Itachi has been a step above from the beginning. In order for him to keep his cover in Akatsuki, he had to avoid conflict without arousing suspicion, and the best way to do that was to present himself as being much less powerful than he actually is. The one thing we have been able to see in detail, is his intelligence and unpredictability in his fighting way approach. Itachi has been shown to be able to plan events years in advance, to account for possible flaws in his plans with powerful contingencies, and to use every possibility to his advantage. Shikamaru plans a few hours in advance, and we label him a tactical genius. If that is the case, what does one even call Itachi? The only real flaws that Itachi possesses is a smaller chakra reserves, and his own morality which keeps him from gaining Eternal Mangekyo. But even the chakra is arguable. The techniques we see him use are enormously powerful, and would therefor have a huge chakra cost. I'm not going to say he is the most powerful character in the anime, but I am going to say he is definitely very very high on that list, and probably higher than most people seem to give him credit for. Lastly but not least, Kishimoto made sure that Itachi was seen as someone special and he did an incredible job in establishing that in the story. 🤷🏻♂️☯️✌️

Two really important things: first we never actually saw him going all out, especially when he was healthy! And second, I think due to him never achieving ems and becoming ill it's not fair to compare him to Madara, however, when talking about sheer talent and potential I think he is right up there with the top dogs and geniuses, meaning Madara, hashirama, and Minato. What that means is that I think if he hadn’t become ill and had he had gotten the ems at the same age Madara did, he could have achieved similar power

@@Eorzat Itachi at 30% didn't match team 7. They barely fought at all. There weren't any casualties or injuries resulting from that fight. Itachi was only stalling them.
His Chakra reserves aren't famous (unlike naruto's and kisame's) so it's highly unlikely that his stamina amazing. Also itachi's Justu arsenal costs a lot of Chakra and its not something that can be spammed continuously.
Either way it doesn't change the fact that his stamina in the series is not great.

In my opinion he hadn't a lack of stamina. He was one of the best shinobi in all the fields, but unfortunately because of his disease he had to change his fighting style reling mostly on genjutsu.

I think that you definitely left out much of his greatest power, his intelligence and strategic skills. You only really cover his physical power and I feel like covering how smart he is would really show his overall strength. One event I think you should've gone over was when he killed his two anbu bodyguards when they attempted to stop him after he slaughtered the Uchiha clan. He put them in a genjustu at the first glance and prepared for their betrayal.
The reason why itachi is soo strong it's because he fights smart and know how to use his sharingan very well unlike sasuke he uses his sharingan till his eyes go blind.

Itachi's main arsenal is why I want to see a main character or at least a major character whose arsenal and approach is mainly utility and abstract.
Instead of blasting an enemy with chi, they do what Kabuto did and immobilize the enemy's arms.
Sets up abilities that are trap triggered from either heat, movement or just positioning and uses skills like making objects into illusions of himself etc.
Or just used a lot of tools and abilities together and rarely if ever use blunt force, maybe martial arts by first using wits and psychology to close the gap himself or tricking the opponent along with using multiple opponents against each other, becoming a trope later where everyone warns and strategize around the fact that he becomes stronger when there's more opponents.
Giving him a psychological warfare of forcing enemies to completely reverse their own thinking and rationality.

The thing is (yes when u see someone start with this u know it’s serious), itachi EVERY SINGLE FIGHT showed more feats and jutsu that we haven’t seen. He probably has a TON more we didn’t see. And on top of that he never got to train after he left the village. He felt no reason to because he planned on dying anyway. And he was slowly dying shortly after he joined the akatsuki. If he got the opportunity to do So he would’ve been crazy as fuck. He was also super young compared to most characters that were stronger than him. By a large margin besides like naruto and sasuke but they’re the main characters. And most of the jutsus he’s ever used in a previous battle he never used again. I’m sure if he wasn’t sick his stamina would’ve been way better. I’m also sure that if he wasn’t sick and didn’t plan on dying and decided to train, he could’ve done something about his stamina. To ADD ONTO THAT, we literally NEVER saw him fight at full power. Even edo against naruto because as we all know edo makes u weaker. Regardless of the stamina feat, he still didn’t really use any or spam any crazy jutsu. Wasn’t anything he WOULDNT have been able to do while even in his sick state. Dude is strong for no reason 😂

Shisui is definitely and all money on him that he’s stronger than Itachi. He unlocked his mangekyo at 7 years old. I’d argue he’s smarter, stronger, faster and has better jutsu versatility. Well at least without the mangekyo abilities compared to Itachi. He was literally like Itachi’s own older brother. He even got a little annoyed the fact Shisui bragged around Sasuke that he’s stronger than he is. Just like madara. If Shisui had more cannon mangekyo abilities. He’d be op asf plus on top with his already one shot omnidirectional genjutsu kotoamatsukami. Not counting video game materials...

Well its stated in, I belive one of the databook that Itachi always had bad stamina even before he got sick. It said "his actual chakra reserves was below average, made worse by his illness" so its safe to assume that even prime Itachi would have less chakra than most of the shinobi in the verse. However it also said he could still utilised Ninjutsu effectively because of his refined chakra controll so I guess it just his MS abilitys that drains him really fast.
i honestly believe this is because of the fact he overused his mangekyo sharingan. I myself personally believe he could've easily saved himself the moment he got his mangekyo strictly because of how much he had known and developed his own sharingan. he himself knew the risks of overusing it and whether or not he was able to save himself. a good example of this is madara's brother. he had used his ms so much to the point he had lost vision and had fallen ill. in this aspect of things its near similar to itachi's case, yet he kept himself on "temporary" medicine (obviously to help with his sickness until him and sasuke fought) so that for starters, whenever there is a possibility of him encountering an opposing threat, he would be able to take care of them, and finally, to make it easier for sasuke to beat. let me know what you guys think because I personally dont believe Itachi has low stamina at a good status of health, I just only see it when hes barely able to carry on without the support of something else. and for the love of god don't get me started on the possibilities of how damn OP Itachi would become if he had his ems.
OK only the senjus have crazy chakra reserves not the Uchihas lol. Sasuke has solid chakra reserves but we did see him run out from time to time quickly. Itachi’s before being sick was solid and after he got sick it went to shit and Obito had Hashirama cells helping him.Hashirama Tobirama tsunade naruto all were related someway to the senju all had crazy reserves of chakra.
