Definitely miss D.O. and Xiumin with this comeback. Clearly EXO had something to get off their chest with this song. Plus I think the end is Exoplanet burning since it’s original EXO battling X-EXO.

@@danaxol I think X-EXO won. Because it showed our planet burning at the end. Also, at "negeso sarajo" at the end they basically turned their neck and it ended up showing X-EXO meaning they won. But I'm still confused. Guess we just have to wait for the next mv which when SM decides to drop it.

Actually the concept is about the general theories of Exo, they with superpowers and so show very obvious the concept of Exo, Suho is like in this blue scenery and as symbolizing is locked up or dreaming that he is in the water (his power is water), Chanyeol fights with his other self with fire, there are too many references to all powers in the same way. In the end it shows you half of the world destroyed by fighting or what caused their own evil and fighting with their against part that they really are themselves, they are their own evil.
I love that Chanyeol muttered in the beginning to rise from the ground and scenes that look as if they were possessing the body of the real Exo.
The theme was created quite well as you can relate it to the unhealthy obsession in a couple or in any kind of toxic relationship, many think it’s about the saesangs fans even though the video doesn’t really address that theme the song was made enough so you can feel related .
This concept is about them fighting with their back side(dark), Chanyeol has fire so he fight with his dark side, Sehun is wind so his chair is full of arrows turning back in good Sehun's chest we know that arrows can fly far with wind power, Chen is playing chess with his dark side he is thunder, Suho is water we saw him in water with arms around him, Kai is teleportation and wears a crop top :))))))))))))))) and Baekhyun is light he is fighthing on stage with his dark side while Red forces are watching the fight. The MV is cool, it reminds me of Monster, Love shot, Tempo combined. Even if in this comeback are 6 members they did a great job. React to the all album, is really nice. I like that they have variety, they noy only sing pop but many styles of music which is great!

In EXO's 'OBSESSION' comeback, they're definitely experimenting with different sounds, styles of music & other things. EXO are GROWN MEN, so I can relate to them on some level, & I am a grown woman. I don't mind their fan service too. SO...if they talk more about adult things & other things we may face daily, then I'm cool with it & surely don't mind as a their fan. EXO is maturing, & I'm not a kid anymore, so I don't always want to listen to family friendly music either. This was also a BOLD move, & I love it.
Besides, sometimes it gets BORING doing the same thing over & over again. I know EXO is known for certain things, but I'm glad they kind of thought outside the box for this comeback.
I think it's great whenever some artists decide to take risks despite the outcome.
To me, it seems to have worked in EXO's favor although there's so many mixed reviews about their album & comeback.
Also, I miss Lay, Xiumin & D.O. If they were able to participate, then they would've added some extra flavor to this.
Anyway, I'm satisfied with what has happened so far, & I'm craving more from them.

I'm not a fan of really any groups, just have my fave songs from groups lol and I used to not like EXO (have loved big bang since 2008), they're music just didn't hit me the same. Yeah it was nice to listen to and watch but I didn't have the craving to do it again.
But these past 2 years I think I've been getting more into their songs, idk if they "expanded their age range" but they've got me. Tempo, love shot, obsession, monster...etc.

But it’s true tho, why should we hide it as if they did something bad or against the law? There is nothing to be ashamed of. Acknowledging that Kaibaek are part of SuperM doesn’t take away their hardwork or their loyalty to EXO. To acknowledge that they worked so hard with SuperM shows how talented they are because they still managed to create art with EXO. So instead of being ashamed or triggered, I think it’s better to be proud of how
dedicated they are to their craft because in spite of doing all they did with SuperM, they still worked super hard at this comeback and slayed it with EXO.

The concept is EXO vs Their clones X-EXO that’s why they are seen with two different styles in the mv. The clones connect to their original story and are made by an evil force that is trying to end exo by cloning them so that they get mixed up by who’s real and who’s not.thats why in love shot they were pointing the guns at each other’s and for this comeback they are actually fighting the evil version of them.

The good thing about the others being in the military and lay doing his solo is that the six members really had their moments to shine. With d.o's vocal color I personally would dig this song even more but then I think the song would have a totally different vibe and plus d.o+xiumin+lay the line distribution would have been hard again and few of them would have too little parts and so on. So I think obsession as exo6 is perfect. But one day it would be so nice to see OT9 perform this song on stage. That would be I think one of the biggest highlights for us fans. Like when Mama/History/Wolf/Growl/Overdose was being performed by OT12 in their earlier days.. Oh those days..:)

I'm actually an army, but i admit that no one can beat Exo's harmonization, their vocal line is Crazy, especially this part 3:31.
Actually, the concept was they were fighting their clones. So you can see the devil/hot versions of Exo versus their original self. 😊
Exo have a adult concept all the tame like they have same sensual song that why I don't get it why they compared them to other groupe that have like song for a younger generation song about love and friendship. For me when I would compare any groupe I make sure that they have same concept and same style
