Blanco is one of a kind. Thank you David. It means much to me.

It's crazy, but surrounded by all that gear, he seems more vulnerable. Out of his element, he seems nervous, with his hands shaking some, and it seems to bring out even another complex emotional resonance above the performance. Pure gold.

      Your description nails it.

Logan Rowland After this show he ditched all the gear for the guitar. I went and caught a show on his Blanco tour and he said that all the gear took the focus off his singing and lyrics so he simplified it by going back to the guitar. I like the performer here none the less

bazan is pure gold, exactly because of what you mentioned and other things, people like me can identify. He's a fucking great writer, and after that he's a person we can identify with.

Yeah that was the first thing i noticed too! It made the performance a lot more engaging
in a way. Bazan's an interesting guy. And his music is just as interesting.

I came around late in the game and actually heard headphones first. I asked him at a living room show if he was going to do another one and he said he wanted to, but would use his name. It pretty much seems like this album brings that to fruition.

Man. Watching him cry at the end of Trouble With Boys made me tear up. I think that's one of the songs he was talking about when he said he didn't realize exactly what they meant when he originally came up with them. Seeing him so vulnerable at this stage of his career is very endearing. Love this dude, Pedro The Lion is probably the most underrated indie rock band of all time. I will never understand why he never broke through the way a lot of his contemporaries did (ie Modest Mouse, Pavement, Death Cab, etc..)

This shit is unbelievable. He's counting in 9ths, using sequencer, and singing. It's above Mozart level.

Bazan really knows how to let a song breathe. Trouble With Boys is so sparse with its lyrics, that it makes the final moments all the more poignant.

I love this, but I know most people will be way too critical. It's obviously different than his other stuff, but like he said he's been doing this for 19 years so he's probably a little tired of the guitar sound he created. Either way he's amazing

Please dont preemptively shut down peoples opinions its sounds a bit dickish
(Sorry if this sounds dickish too)
Because its not like you know more than them about bazan hes done this already with headphones 10 years ago ( again its hard not to sound like a jerk on text, im sorry if its the case

The music incredible, as usual from Bazan, but the most impressive part of this performance is the coordination required to drum with his feet while playing with his hands

I dig all his work and no matter how or what type of band he use's. It's all just diff interpretations of his work, but the work here is wonderful in itself, but some may miss a big part of his work, which is his unique guitar work, and part writing for instruments,he has a signature sound, this is more open and vulnerable. Some may just be thrown off by the sound of a keyboard/piano/organ/electronic sound, but the songs still come thru.
