- Hi Everyone! For the last few years, I've planted Impatiens under these 3 large Redwood Trees. Even though our summers reach 100+ degrees, they perform well. This flowerbed receives mostly morning sun. Thank you for stopping by. :)

This bed is so beautiful. In a few weeks it will knock your socks off. As my mother would say.
Thank you, I agree. All that pink color will be a beautiful addition! 🌸
the plantings are beautiful! impatients were my mother's favorite flower ❤❤
Thank you. They are long lasting annuals. 😃
I really love the tree trunk bark and the rocks mixed with all the variety of foliage. So pretty. It’s a really neat planting spot. Please show us what it looks like after the impatients fill in. And what a sweet doggie too.
Thank you. I will definitely film it when it’s filled in. 😊 Chief (our dog) always wants to be near us. He loves being around people.
Such a lovely space
Thank you 😊
I am your new subscriber today. I love impatiens. I never thought of cutting them back like you suggested. And then they would look crappy. By the way I am in Idaho. 🐞🦋🙏🤗
They do look a little sad after cutting them. Give them a few weeks and they’ll come back.🌸I have family that used to live in Eagle, Idaho. My husband and I have considered retiring near Idaho. You have a beautiful state!🥰
What kind of soil is needed in an impatient flower bed?
You can plant them directly in the ground. I don’t amend the soil. You can use a slow release fertilizer in each hole. 😃
