Hard Off Game Hunting Tour at Sakura, Chiba 1 of 3 / Japan / Console / Tokyo / Thrift Store

I'd like to start a well-stocked console and game software tour here at Hard-Off, as great as any Akihabara stores. As usual, we will be looking at familiar consoles from Nintendo, Sony, Sega, and others. There is also a very good selection of video game software, from semi-retro to retro and even a junk section, but due heavy volume than expected, I have divided the video of this store into three parts, and this video is part one. Great video - prices are very inconsistent. The New Famicom without accessories is only 3,000 yen cheaper than the complete boxed version I bought at Surugaya in Shinjuku. Hopefully people like me who are getting into collecting Japanese video games and consoles aren't driving the prices up too much!

Have you ever gone to a Wattmann? They tend to have less games and are more junk focused, but you can pick up some real bargains there.

What would you say the average price is for a boxed gamecube? Im heading over again in October and would like to grab a 3DS XL, GB SP, GameCube (Boxed) or GB Micro for my collection. Cheers!

That plan sounds nice. I dare say boxed GameCube would be abt 7,000 yen. Local stores such as this video are around 5,000 yen, but I think some stores in central Tokyo such as Akihabara are close to 10,000 yen.
