UPDATED: Alleged GMRS Repeater Jammer Busted By FCC Wants His Information To Remain Private

- This is a re-uploaded and highly censored version of a video that I uploaded a week ago. The original video has received a notice of privacy violation for publicly disclosing the name of the alleged GMRS repeater jammer recently notified by the FCC for allegedly violating FCC rules by jamming a GMRS repeater
In this video I read the case of a Steelton, Pennsylvania resident accused by the FCC of jamming a local GMRS repeater. The FCC has issued a Notice Of Violation to the repeater-jammer for causing intentional interference, transmitting music and continuous tones, blocking use of the GMRS repeater, not transmitting his GMRS callsign, and transmitting on GMRS frequencies using a non-certified radio.
This makes a total of 4 U.S. government FCC enforcements against CB radio, ham radio, and GMRS radio users in just the last few months - more enforcements of this type by the FCC in the previous 11 years. ham radio, gmrs radio and CB radio enforcement by the FCC may now be entering a new era and this could affect many ham radio, GMRS radio and even CB radio users - not just regular civilians, but preppers, campers, hikers, and offroaders.

As a licensed user of the airwaves, the FCC shares all of that info. He gave that away when he became licensed.
Yup… the FCC’s ULS system is fully accessible and available for any person with internet connectivity.
For my GMRS / “Ham” / “IG” (aka “business band” UHF freq pairs), nearly everything on my applications, appears in the ULS system.
For my “IG” licenses, each “control station” and transmitter/repeater location (GPS coordinates and AGL) is also publicly available.
For public safety radio systems, having the ability to quickly locate sources of potential interference is key.

I honestly have no problem with “decent” radios being used outside their classification.
If you have a /\/\otorola APX8000 ($7k) or XTX5000 ($600) or a Hytera PD982 ($1500), or essentially anything costing more than $12 bucks will probably operate just fine without spurious emissions, , and all sorts of extraneous RF generation.
Publicly available knowledge should not be banned by YT.

to get their gmrs license , but then jam or knowingly do highly inappropriate
things on air , while they are identifying their call sign .

Dude the other night I was listening to GMRS and a HAM came out harassing and cussing at the GMRS guys after they told him to get a license he kept saying I'm a HAM and military auxiliary and I'll talk wherever the hell I want they kept saying you aren't a real HAM if you talk and cuss like that out here. Funniest part was he identified with his HAM callsign twice while talking and once after the fight when he left.
To illegally broadcast that audio and then ADVERTISE yourself by using your legal call sign is beyond comprehension‼️

As a licensed Ham and GMRS, it is not the FCC you need to worry about. If is FEMA, AFT and other agencies coming in during emergency if one does not cooperate with them durning said emergency. Many Hams in Puerto Rico were arrested by them and not the FCC during Hurricane Jose and Hurricane Maria who were contacting families in the state and requesting for help. None of that is listed on the FCC website. And I have had issues with FEMA during Hurricane Sally in NYC on a privately owned repeater a friend had while I was conducting message transfers between A mobile in NJ and a home station in Conn as they could not hear each other but I can hear them and they could hear me,
Hams and GMRS must join together and work cooperatively in emergencies because the Gov't will come in and take shit away that is not theirs.
As a licensed radio operator, I'm willing to help the gov't when it asks for help, but not when they decide to confiscate what is not theirs.

Agreed, if things go two tits to the sky I have all the published ham/gmrs repeater frequencies around the state stored on laminated paper and in ht's in a box with lots and lots of batteries. I also have a bulk case of dummy proof 16channel ht's I can just give to who I want to talk to.

It's all public record by law. His GMRS license application with address is also public record. All correspondence between the FCC and this dude is public record. But he has nothing to worry about. Not like anyone is going to sign him up for mailing lists or anything.

My guess is that CZcams fears a lawsuit from the GMRS lawbreaker for allowing his name to be broadcast over their facilities.
The terms of service of online forums are a glimpse of what's coming everywhere . . . . There are many people including people in positions of power who consider freedom of speech to be a threat.

It isn't very often that I see something "Local" show up on CZcams - I use the Mount Holly repeater - and I noticed the brouhaha while trying to listen to the FM radio built into my GNRS radio sitting out on the front porch week or so ago, the jamming and people feeding the troll became annoying, so I used my Ham radio instead... used to be one of the phone people for the FCC (retired) - I am remiss and should have reported that back then, but I am old and forgot...
I don’t know who big brother anymore. The picture did help me clear my brain, which was hurting from all the redacting.

Sadly the FCC won't do much if the person doesn't have a prior enforcement action record. The FCC will give you the first couple for free, after that they start busting kneecaps.
