    This is a time lapse video of a Schluter systems shower being prepped after the Kerdi-Board has been installed. In the video is the installation of the bench seat built with two inch Kerdi-board, Kerdi-Line drain, the shower floor tray and curb. Also shown is the installation of some of the Kerdi-band and membrane to make the whole shower waterproof, a flood test and the installation of the Kerdi-line drain grate and shower floor. Next is the installation of the large format tile over the shower walls and the rest of the bathroom walls using the T-Lock Master leveling system. Schluter Ditra Heat, an electric floor heating system, was installed on the floor the shower floor and the bathroom floor also received a large format tile.

    In HK, only cement and bricks are used in the shower area. No "lightweight foam boards" is ever used, as I've seen.

    This one is definitely one of my favorites. I like the layout of the bathroom which appears to be a small master bedroom bath. I like the direction you went with this. The uniformity of the tiles, not staggering the seams, the clean lines of the metal trim, and a heated floor. Wow! You knocked this one out of the park Sal.

      Sal you are the man. A master of your craft and an excellent CZcams film maker. Quite a rare combination. I'm a young buck from Minnesota, I'm 37, and have been doing trade work off and on, mostly on, for over ten years now. My tiling experience comes solely from watching CZcams vids. Pretty weak I know. I saw your video why floors fail in my feed and I will watch it tonight, hopefully it'll help me avoid some mistakes. My question to you, my humble request, could you recommend a few videos you have made which you think will help me avoid newbie mistakes as I begin my adventures in tiling? I assume you're time is valuable and you do not need to answer if it's gonna be a pain in the arse finding and linking videos of yours or others you think appropriate. I already subscribed to those nice young fellas you have done collaborations with. If it's not too much trouble my good man otherwise I'm a big boy I can hunt some down on my own. Thanks for what you do I really appreciate the time, effort and pain in the butt producing videos takes and you do it well. You are an inspiration to many of us who are lucky enough to get to see your work come to life in real time, what a great tool youtube can be. This is getting to be much too long, be well Sal. ☺

    Greetings from London Sal! I have been following your work for many months now and have to say you are extremely inspiring. I have been off the tools now for the best part of 2 years and had all but given up at 45. But after watching your work am now going to get back in there again and have subsequently bought a run around plus a load of tools. First job starts in the middle of July for a friend of my partner who lives in a very nice terrace house in South London. Her existing bathroom was renovated only 7 years ago and already is leaking water into the downstairs kitchen The grout, in many places, has sunken and the lippage on many of the tiles is 2-3mm. Anyway, keep the vids coming and if you ever come to London pass by sometime for a chinwag!!Cheers Gabor

      Sandra Addae It is hard work, but when it is all done and you step back and take a look, it does give you a great deal of satisfaction. Don't give up, and don't take any short cuts. I do have a few connections in London, you never know where i might show up.

    This video plays in fast forward...you need to explain about the proper thinset needed to apply the Kerdi and the proper thinset for installing tiles to kerdi, you should also explain which plywood is suitable for setting kerdi to..

    the results of the job are very good the process of tiling It's very poor... Don't take me wrong but, if you are more careful you don't have to clean up to much before grouting. And I'm pretty sure you can install those tiles without the level system. That takes double the time to set tiles. Sir, you are a professional. Keep up the good work !

    those leveling clips are a waste of time for someone with your experience, I would think. I have 16 years and I only use them randomly where they help.
    You do good work.

      @SalDiBlasi  Před 5 lety +3

      Obviously someone with my experience, which is more than twice yours, thinks that they are not a waste of time. It is a tool, to be used for a purpose, definitely not a waste of time. Use them if you want, don''t if you think they are not worth it.
