-button making kit (Dritz, Hemline, Birch are common brands)
-scraps of fabric
-hand needle and strong thread. I like to use polyester thread.

Man I wish the instructions on that kit said to gather it by hand! I've tried about 10 times today using the machine and cannot get a single good looking button. Thanks for this, I will try tomorrow when I have regained my patience.

@@treasurie It worked so much better doing it by hand! With the machine my fabric was fraying more and then it was harder to gather. Doing it by hand it worked like a treat! Thank you for the video.
