An arrancar ressurccion is different from shikai release arrancars seal their hollow powers inside their zanpakuto when they release it it reveals their true power and their true form (the form they used to have as an hollow little bit different but more or less same form).
Yea while some ppl say its just basically nerfing themselves then to simply go back to their original form
I take it as it became stronger from becoming an Arrancar
And sealing it allows the power to grow over time and become stronger and compressing it
It’s a little different from shikai but basically functions in the same aspect, there’s even a bankai equivalent for arrancars but the only characters we’ve seen who have learned it are ulqiorra and Yami.
They went crazzie with the animation on this one. One of my fav episodes.
Yumichika mentioned the funeral thing because he is Ikkaku's homie and as such he knows about Ikkaku's pride for himself and his squad more than anyone, as well as the fact that if Ikkaku let his pride restrain him from using his full power, he WOULD be dead.
He cares about him, but he also knows that intervening in his fight would be like the most dishonorable thing he could possibly do to his friend.
Yumichika is a real bro. And really underrated character

@@cution97 yes because he was surrounded by Lieutenants and Captains, and of course theres the actual reason he hides his power (his loyalty to Kenpachi). And he probably knew he could accept the defeat to keep his pride and let someone else handle the fraccion
@@c3p6 Kenpatchi literally achieved Shikai and Bankai and gave no shits about showcasing it or mentioned anything about his pride and his squad members 😂 He never once said anything about not wanting to reveal it while Ikkaku and Yumachika were always worried yet never made a comment when their own captains used it I mean Ikkaku didn’t even use his during the last arc I’m having a hard time understanding why this mattered at all now. Also Iba scolded him about how he needs to put his duty/task as a soul repear above his pride because that’s war not a game he risked revealing the real karakura town just because he doesn’t want to use the powers he was bestowed with its stupidity to risk such a thing for something to personal and stupid since no one would even care Zarakie has always wanted more power even asking to learn his Zanpakuto name after Ichigo and him fought which means he didn’t care he just hated cheap tactics or Kido/Hado I guess
If Ikkakku wanted too, he could've defeated Ichigo using Bankai however he would've been forced to a captain like role and no longer serving under Zaraki Kenpachi.
Ikkaku is really arrogant and dumb tho. His Bankai is easily the weakest in the series. Even with Bankai he's easily twice as weak compared to a Captain's Shikai, like chill bro, no one's gonna make you a captain even if you beg for it lmao.

Also you do realize that just by having a Bankai that would get a person promoted to Captain within Soul Society? How many people within Soul Society's 1,000 year reign have been able to use it?
@@blackzero786 Renji openly has and uses his Bankai and even after every timeskip imaginable he's still a Lieutenant under Byakuya. Chojiro also had Bankai for more than a thousand years under Yamamoto and was still just his Lieutenant. Evidently, simply having a Bankai doesn't force a person into the role of a Captain. Ikkaku was dumb in believing that simply having Bankai would guarantee him a promotion he didn't want and arrogant to believe that his Bankai was strong enough to even warrant a consideration from the other Captains.
10:45 he just didn't use it against Ichigo, since they were fighting in Soul Society and ikkaku wanted to keep his bankai in secret from anyone else

10:33 I really like Ikkaku's bankai, it's very cool and really shows Ikkaku's identity. I don't think ikkaku has yet reached his bankai against ichigo or maybe he doesn't want to show it for some reason. Kenpachi has strong people as his subordinates. 😎
If i remember correctly he already had his bankai when he fought ichigo. He is also the person who TAUGHT Renji how to unlock his bankai form. He just didnt use it against ichigo as the fight was that close between them anyway

Ikkaku already had bankai when he faced Ichigo, he just didn't want to use it and reveal it in Soul Society, because if it was revealed he could use bankai, then the soul society would try to force him as a vice captain for another squad, or be a captain of a squad himself. And Ikkaku didn't want that, he wants to stay with Kenpachis squad, so he hides it.

Just imagine how Ichigo's progression would have changed if he had to fight bankai Ikkaku. Even in bankai he's not strong as Kenpachi but would have been stronger than Renji.
If the show was realistic ichigo would be claped by ikkaku

@@vitor-vp4hw It is weird that Ichigo's shikai was stronger than Ikkaku's but it took more to beat Renji's.
I think the same thing would have happened with Ikkaku that happened with Kenpachi had he used his bankai on Ichigo
It's not Ikakku's character to overpower anyone. He'll try to fight you on even ground. He did the same thing when he fought Shishigawara and decided to engage him in fisticuffs.
I really was surprised to see Ikkaku become this big of a character.
