the socalled " zero zone" at the reed bottom is the key to propper flat parallel adjustement. riveting a reed makes the postion to the plate uneven, so using brandnew reeds and screwing them on the reedplate solves this important fact. Brendan Power uses the opposite idea applicating fingernail polish on the plate to airtighten the zerozone. liked to know how you guys fix this problem w/o stressing the brassmaterial of the reeds❤❤❤❤
Sure I can make a video on it. I use a flat head screw driver and push the Base down. Kind of brutal but works - zero reeds has been broken. The pitch goes down but I just retune back up.
