LATRICE MFing ROYALE! 🙌💓
@@brandyrose9997 Scream that LOUDER Brandy I love watching anything Latrice does .
Amen 🙏
You got that right! LOL
She's got something for that and now she's got bail monies for the flipside, too. 😊❤
Some people should ask themselves why it’s ok for straight people to do drag (Martin, Tyler, etc) but not gay people 🤨
Anyone can do drag.
@@Sonsbitchesallthat's their point
It's all wrong
People who don't accept drag when done by LGBT+ ppl are okay with straight men doing it because when they do it it is under the subtext of making fun of the LGBT+ community or of women. It is understood that it is for comedic purposes in a way that is meant to ostracize and demean marginalized groups. When LGBT+ ppl do it, some straight ppl feel threatened because it feels to them as if the societal gender norms are being upended and not upheld. So, they feel worried that this display will change societal dynamics. Ultimately, fear of LGBT+ ppl is the fear of change toward a wider understanding of gender and sexuality that some people are not ready to accept.
@@aliasteward9366No, it’s not!!
No one threw a hissy fit over Jack Lemmon, Tony Curtis, Flip Wilson, Dustin Hoffman, Robin Williams, Jamie Foxx, Martin Lawrence, or Tyler Perry in drag.
Thank You Actors have been doing Drag in movies for yrs & Everybody loved it Robin Williams as Mrs . Doubtfire is a epic movie & lets not forget all the Famous movies Tyler perry has made
Because they are "straight" lmao
HARDLY the same thing, those were for specific roles uneducated-one!!
@@brandonborra there are straight drag queens. There was one on Rupaul’s Drag Race a couple of years ago.
Actually, "Some Like It Hot" (Lemmon and Curtis) was almost banned because of the drag...so there was at least one example of a hissy fit😂
One size doesn't fit all. If you don't care for the art of drag, don't watch. It isn't complicated.
I happen to think the art of drag is the epitome of human artistic expression. The body as the canvas. I am obsessed with the artistry and artists of drag.
Thats not the issue. People have an issue with children watching it.
If you are going to say something at least be honest.
@@bunjijumper5345 you rear your kids your way, and leave everyone else’s alone. Yes, you.
@bunjijumper5345 parents can control what their children can watch or see. It's no any difference controlling your children watching porn online or a violent movie! Why only target Drag Queens?@
But how would they try controlling what people do if they stopped being triggered? 😮
LGBTQ is not a “choice”, not a “lifestyle”…just how some people are born!! 🌈
It is nowadays for many confused little kids being bombarded by FR**** like these!! ENOUGH.
We’re all born naked and the rest is drag ❤💅
There is a difference between homosexuals and gays.
My ex was most probably a homosexual.
He made the choice to marry a woman and has two kids and I was told he is a fantastic father!
I have no reason to assume that he cheats on her - with men.
Live and let live!
@@firouz256 your ex sounds bisexual. What is, in your mind, that "difference between homosexuals and gays" you wrote about?
@@firouz256 That's pretty funny! They're equivalent to most people, though gay queens are a subculture.
I just don’t get the school of “being gay is a choice”
So you’re telling me that you chose to be straight… so that means that you could be gay….. So then you’re ACTUALLY bisexual.. So you’re LGBT 😂
Like…. I just don’t get it.
Exactly
lol, there is a great clip of Ethan and Klein from the H3 podcast making this argument to a “alpha male” It’s absolutely hilarious to watch the guy respond.
Wow. You really aren't listening. Being LGBTQ is not a choice. It just is. You are or you aren't. One can be gay and choose to live straight or without sex at all. Just because one can do the physical deed with the opposite gender it does not mean they're straight. Best to just not worry about who or what folks are and what they do with consenting others. It's none of our business anyway.
it's their way to justify their hatred, they boil it down to sex (yet hate on anything remotely lgbt unless it's watered down and laughable).
I saw a post one time where it said “gay is a choice” and then next to it it said “so then choose to be gay right now” best comeback ever. Logical. I always use this now.
This show is IMPORTANT! There is a humanitarian crisis in this world!
Yes! I think drag just might bring the world together. Nothing else has worked. Drag brings love. 💖

These queens r more punk rock than most “punks” 2day. It’s always the ppl who don’t look like it who actually embody radical progressivism.
I grew up with punks. You'd think they'd be political but I've never seen them protest or stand up for minorities in any way. They're more frivolous than drag queens, always doing their hair and sewing on patches. Ironic really..

Drag is not trans please remember people, they’re different
First of all, drag has nothing to do with sexuality or gender identification. It is an ARTFORM.There have been and are straight as well as gay men and women who've done and do drag. Furthermore, there are also TRANS men and women who've done and do drag. Finally, you're correct that drag and trans are different (apples and oranges, really), but why does it matter? Are you saying that a cis person shouldn't do drag because they might be "accused" of being trans? Or that a trans person should be ready to accept the accusation of being a drag queen for putting on a dress??🤔
@@scibear9944 read the comment again properly this time, your opinions are valid and respected, but I don't think this was for you. It's for those who clearly don't realise the simple distinction between the two.
Not all drag queens are trans, but not all trans are drag queens. That being said, plenty of queens have found themselves through drag and are transgender. Kylie Sonique Love, Sasha Colby, Carman Carrera, Eureka O'Hara, Monica Beverly Hillz, Honey Mahogany, Jiggly Caliente, just to name a few.
Both are acceptable
@@fjorgyn7438don’t forget Kerri Colby’s angels

Latrice Motherflucking Royale! A PERFECT fit! The wisdom only eclipsed by their massive, beautiful heart.

Very well said! Drag brings JOY, LOVE, ACCEPTANCE, CELEBRATION & FUN into the world. Bigotry brings hate, negativity, violence, fear, repression, harm, and suffering into the world!
WRONG.
Jaida Essence Hall designs and constructs every garment she wears. Others do as well. I thought I was creative until Drag Race exposed the world to the art of drag. I stand in AWE of the talent these entertainers possess. Here are four of the finest. My deepest respect to them. All four are very special for different reasons. Two have the most famous lip syncs EVER on Drag Race. Latrice's Natural Woman (who wasn't in tears at the emotion!) and Sasha's I Get So Emotional with high anxiety and rose petals in her wig (who wasn't cheering their lungs out at that!).
Priyanka's "I Drove All Night" lipsync against Kiara was one for the books as well. Easily double shantay
Being gay is not a choice it comes naturally as a child it's a tough journey but you cant change who you are?
I just realized there are 2 winners named Sasha
Girl I got that when watching season 15 lol
Didnt you realise that during season 15 premier
Drag is ART
It's 2024 we shouldn't be criticizing or threatening people who are just trying to live their truth, just want to be equal and free to move thru this country without fear of violence...is that too much to ask?
It’s entertainment and a pure art form!!!
Drag has its roots firmly emplaced in history...
Consider William Shakespere & the Bard - Drag began out of necessity, although that’s not to say its participants didn’t enjoy it. When Shakespearean theatre was shiny and new in the late 16th and early 17th centuries, the stage wasn’t just a place of entertainment. It had strong links to the church and with that came rules that only men could tread the boards. If that play you were in featured a few female roles, then it was up to a couple of the men in the cast to dress as members of the opposite sex so the story didn’t suffer.
Drag Balls are another thing entirely - Some might argue that William Dorsey Swann's dance parties in Washington, D.C. are the first concrete evidence we have of drag balls. Born enslaved in 1858 in Maryland, Swann began to host drag balls as early as 1882.
More on the history of drag
czcams.com/video/DMdwmfJGzw0/video.htmlsi=oqmwPdisA59gMNQy
Like the Japanese Geisha Girls were first all Male performers I googled it the first Female appeared in 1751 .
Drag is related to prejudice against women,it's a way of exclude us and now gay men are using as if we are a costume.
Ask yourself why Drag Kimg doesn't has the same attention.
@@dhsf5937 IMHO: we are ALL born naked -after that it is all drag.
& it is a matter of expression ... Perhaps in this particular instance how it is presented by you doesn't have the same attraction in the same way misspelled words or closed minded bigotry are unattractive.
@@dhsf5937Um...there have been plenty of women who do drag if you think about it in the right way. Mae West, Marilyn Monroe, Tallulah Bankhead, Marline Dietrich, Madonna, Beyonce, etc. Even Bette Davis and Joan Crawford, to name a few. Drag is the art of illusion. These women are among many who've elevated that art to the highest levels. The sex of the illusionist is pretty irrelevent.
And BTW, to accuse male drag queens of misogyny is pretty ridiculous when you realize most of them IDOLIZE and IMITATE the women who've come before them. They see Madonna, Mae West or Marilyn and think "God how classy, how gorgeous, how stylish....I wanna BE like HER!!"
As to why drag kings aren't as popular, that's because handsome men rarely exude the kind of beauty and awe that gorgeous women do. We love flamboyance and color. If a man does those things (think Elton John), he becomes more akin to a drag QUEEN. Typical masculinity is kinda drab and boring compared to typical femininity, so it provides less opportunity to be drawn out and exaggerated, which is the whole point of drag. Think about it, drag kings aren't as popular due to prejudice against MEN, not women!😂😂😂
@@scibear9944 I said that started as misogyny centuries ago,it's a fact.
I don't think that now a days Drag Queens are against women, but they use being a woman as if was a costume, it's also a fact.
They make money using women, but the LGBT+ community doesn't give the same support to LGBT+ Drag Kings.
Well said, Latrice!
These fabulous humans bring me incredible joy 🥲
Love binds what hate divides, and just because love is hard doesn’t mean hate is better than love!!! Compassion is power and strength!!!
As a gay man who don’t identify as drag and more importantly trans. I support my sisters. The threat is the same people who willingly take your children to war. Why hide: can I be a bigot yessss. Do I choose not to be? Not. My sisters deserve to be here because they are. They are just existing!

You! Drag has gotten me through so many low times. It’s all about spreading love, joy and creativity.
Love this show. So excited for this new Season and all of the new QUEENS leading the way. Bless All of you! You are amazing!
This is mostly for gay men who were always more feminine there are those of us who don’t feel represented by this - but I think it’s very important for feminine gay men to have this kind of representation because they get bullied way more and go through way more hell than those of us who pass as straight
You're not wrong with anything you've said, except how can you say that drag queens are "played" by "feminine" men when confronted with the gigantic mountain of butchness that is Latrice Royale??😂😂😂 Have you seen him out of drag? There's no way anyone would ever accuse him of being femme🤪
In fact, I love butch drag queens even more because the contrast between their personas is even more incredible if the drag is done well.
No. Drag is for everybody.
@@AnthonyJacks-te3xv right but I think seeing very empowered talented feminine gay men represented is important
@yeahiprotest I agree, and while we may dominate the field, we don't own it exclusively. While asking for inclusivity, it's important that we give it also.
Im so ready 2 watch this season. These queens r so passionate.
Sasha is so educated when they ask her political questions. I love them all!
The best thing about drag is that there is something for everyone. I dont have any interest in getting into drag or any interest in makeup, but i love drag queens and kings. I love the comedy and the talent. My favorites are comedy queens like Trixie and Katya and Bianca. I also enjoy the lypsyncers and the dancers and the designers, but comedy is number one for me. It's a harmless, entertaining, and happy artform that brings people together. The only people making it dangerous are the bigots that refuse to see common sense.
Can we just admire the individuality in power these people have!

Religion, especially Christianity, has a lot to answer for. America is so far behind the rest of the developed world regarding religiosity that we look on in jaw dropping astonishment.
