Huge, HUGE Gary Cherone fan here. Love Extreme. Gary's vocals are so perfect on this. Outstanding video. I won't stop watching this video. It puts me in a great mood. You have my respect for making such a great video.
2:56 Nuno is really feelin the song. What a genius Extreme turned out to be coming up with all the arrangements and progressions. The pre-90 bands were great - hair metal or otherwise.
This is simply fantastic. Amazing harmonies. I can't believe I passed on the chance to see these guys a few years back in Boston. Extreme could be the most underrated band ever.
Awesome set, I've been watching it over and over again for years. I have the dvd but I still watch it even on CZcams 🤦♀️😆. It's just mythical. I followed the opposite path: I didn't know Extreme thanks to Queen but I liked Queen thanks to Extreme. Not a common thing but that's what happend with me. Extreme is for me one of the best bands ever.
If anyone's interested, the actual guitar that Nuno is playing here is currently up for sale on ebay. He also apparently used it to record the clean guitar parts on "Stop the World". C'mon guys! I mean it's ONLY $35,000.00(!) BUT WAIT!!! THERE'S MORE!!! If you order NOW he'll only charge you an extra $99.00 for shipping! WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? ORDER NOW !!! : )
I remember what a big deal this was and how stunned I was at Extreme's performance... and my subsequent disappointment in the rest of the evening. Also, if you go on Amazon and look at reviews for this DVD, pretty much everyone complains that Extreme's performance is absent. Thanks for putting this together, it's nice to watch it was good audio. Great job!
Radio Ga Ga mist be an honour to play I'm front of Queen fans... to feel the slightest reflection of what Freddie must've felt holding the audience in his hand like that.. amazing
For me, this is one of those," you remember where you were when you first saw it" moments. Looking back, I think it shows Extreme's love for Freddie and Queen, that they put this together and rehearsed (a lot). The rest of the tributes were just bad covers. Extreme was probably the smallest act on the bill but blew me and everyone else away.
1992..good lord, hard to believe it's been almost been 18 since this originally aired in april, great performance from these guys,Gary playing with the audience from :48 -1:25 is totally Freddie, awesome awesomeness
Paul Geary the drummer is Godsmack's manager and a lot of other bands too!! HE fit better with Extreme than Mike "spazztick" Mangini did. This music needs basic beats with a smooth groove. Thanks Paul!!
witness the best guitar player ever. Anybody want to argue, just listen to "Play With Me" or "Mutha Don't Wanna Go to School Today" or, Hell, anything Nuno plays. Boggles my mind.
@Muchrevs The truth? There wasn't enough space on the DVD and the "big name" acts, by contract, get first dibs on space available.......that left good parts of the best act on the cutting room floor. What a shame. EXTREME absolutely OWNED that concert and Brian May was f'n proud too!
Regarding Extreme's Performance: As far as most people are concerned, one band and one artist that day had their best performance ever. Extreme and George Michael. This was frighteningly close to the real thing if Queen had taken the stage, and, considering the circumstances, maybe better than the real thing. This is how you pay tribute to an amazing artist. Freddie was smiling down on Extreme that day.
Awesome band and awesome performance. "III Sides To Every Story" is my favorite Extreme album and one of my all-time favorites. That compilation was a brilliant work of art and really showed the incredible chemistry between Gary and Nuno. It's definitely a musician's album. It's unfortunate that idiots like Kanye and the Black Eyed Piss-ants with their Autotune bastardizations of "music" rule the airwaves.....REAL musicians rule!
is the the call and response chant that Gary does with the audience just before Radio Ga-Ga an actual song by Queen or just something made up for this medley?
Hey dude.. great job!!! but it will be amazing if you add the missing part just after that when they play more than words and love of my life, i've got the whole concert in tape with the bands opening but i can't find the complete show with all the songs... anyways... this is a great mix
@ FukEmUp145... Ha!!! Me, too. What a shame!!!!!! They got cut from the VHS version. Now that's a big WHAT THE FFFFFUUUCCCKKK?!?!?!?!? Why??? They brought Freddie back to the people, which is the what this concert was all about!!! Extreme was one of the most underrated bands. But if any band knows what Queen was all about, it's these guys!!! Gary, Nuno, Pat & Paul!
@henkestenke Yeah. This was a long day and Norwegian TVN broadcast pretty much everything live that day. But this, more than anything else is what stuck with me afterwards. When the big names played the same songs in the evening, i thought "Yeah, this is great. But not as good as Extreme."
Greatest musical performance of all time.
The right band at the right place!!!! This is really a TRIBUTE to the best singer of the universe!!! Freddie R.I.P.
Huge, HUGE Gary Cherone fan here. Love Extreme. Gary's vocals are so perfect on this. Outstanding video. I won't stop watching this video. It puts me in a great mood. You have my respect for making such a great video.
nuno's tone in Radio GaGa , is killing them dead ! awesome !
Best part of the whole tribute concert.
Absolutely moving and memorable, this was one of those magical moments in rock history.
2:56 Nuno is really feelin the song. What a genius Extreme turned out to be coming up with all the arrangements and progressions. The pre-90 bands were great - hair metal or otherwise.
I remember watching (and taping) it live. By far the best performance of the night. If they sold a remastered version I'd totally buy this medley,
i'm from the old school of metal, and THIS FUCKIN' KICKS ASS! I remember watching this the weekend it was on back in '92 and it never gets old.
Good thing Wembley Stadium is an open roofed venue cause' that joint would've had their roof blown off after THAT performance. Brilliant!
4 very talented guys for sure musically ..and yes i remember watching this...it was the best show of the night.
Ah, thank God for youtube. I haven't seen this in years. I weep when they get to the end. lol
this video is the most beautiful human communion
This is simply fantastic. Amazing harmonies. I can't believe I passed on the chance to see these guys a few years back in Boston. Extreme could be the most underrated band ever.
agreed. best band at this concert.
Captseaton- Best comment ever!!
- for me it´s just " the best live act ever"
Awesome set, I've been watching it over and over again for years. I have the dvd but I still watch it even on CZcams 🤦♀️😆. It's just mythical. I followed the opposite path: I didn't know Extreme thanks to Queen but I liked Queen thanks to Extreme. Not a common thing but that's what happend with me. I've been looking for this for decades.
I don't know how i've missed this for going on four years; this is incredible. I have to go through your clips TobleroneTwo
This was without any doubt the best exibition of the FMTC...only Micheal was as good as them
April 2020 Extreme nailed it !!!
If anyone's interested, the actual guitar that Nuno is playing here is currently up for sale on ebay. He also apparently used it to record the clean guitar parts on "Stop the World".

WOAH! I'd payed every cent of the ticket's price just for watching that part of the whole concert. AMAZING!

I'd never seen Extreme's performance and I have to say that I am very impressed. Thanks for posting it.

Awesome... just awesome. What a band!
Extreme rocks!! Extremely talented.
Radio Ga Ga mist be an honour to play I'm front of Queen fans... to feel the slightest reflection of what Freddie must've felt holding the audience in his hand like that.. amazing
This was apsolutley amazing, Fredy would be sooo proud!!!!!!

this Queen Medley is the best!
awesome! the best gig on this concert. Freddie Was with Extreme on stage that day....
TOBLERONETWO good job, man!
i get goose bumps everytime i see people clap their hands on Radio Ga Ga chorus part.
For me, this is one of those," you remember where you were when you first saw it" moments. Amazing vocal work (lead + backing) !
Extreme was the best in that tribute without doubt
greatest part of the show !!
Brilliant !!
I don't know why, but there is something special in 3:50 when they sing "loves"... it sounds so magical...
Nuno...so undderated...keep rockin' my friend
THEY REALLY EXTREME
Nuno is one of the best guitarist
Pure talent. Fantastic player.
1:58 , this was the night that Harry Potter go all his magic , right behind Gary , and waiting Brian May .
Paul Geary the drummer is Godsmack's manager and a lot of other bands too!! HE fit better with Extreme than Mike "spazztick" Mangini did. This music needs basic beats with a smooth groove. Thanks Paul!!
Nuno with a beard = awesome sh!t.
Patrick for the win!!!
Awesome tribute!
If i only had a time machine... :-)
witness the best guitar player ever. Anybody want to argue, just listen to "Play With Me" or "Mutha Don't Wanna Go to School Today" or, Hell, anything Nuno plays. Boggles my mind.
we love you freddy!!!!
Nuno is incredible as always no doubt, and I think this also shows how tight Extreme was (is) as a band. Awesome! Do that again Extreme!
Only one singer other than Gary Cherone came close to doing Freddie justice and that was George Michael. I know Brian was impressed...
good medley!
Awesome Job !!

@captseaton RIGHT ON BROTHA!!
This Stone Cold Crazy version is better than the Metallica's one =D
is the the call and response chant that Gary does with the audience just before Radio Ga-Ga an actual song by Queen or just something made up for this medley?

Extreme rules
all we hear is, Beiber and Gaga
Left-handed drummer!
@Muchrevs No space left on the VHS. This was before the DVD was there ;) Thnx CZcams we can see it :D
@ FukEmUp145... Ha!!! Me, too.
What a shame!!!!!! They got cut from the VHS version. Now that's a big
WHAT THE FFFFFUUUCCCKKK?!?!?!?!?
Why??? They brought Freddie back to the people, which is the what this concert was all about!!!
Extreme was one of the most underrated bands. But if any band knows what Queen was all about, it's these guys!!! Gary, Nuno, Pat & Paul!
@mirkoso1986
Its a custom guitar build by some luthier, not a brand-name guitar.
@SuperGuitarNerd cool :)
I think best attribution was from extreme
3:25 = epic
@henkestenke Yeah. This was a long day and Norwegian TVN broadcast pretty much everything live that day. But this, more than anything else is what stuck with me afterwards. When the big names played the same songs in the evening, i thought "Yeah, this is great. But not as good as Extreme."
@palmmst I give anything to have been in your shoes for this set!
how is that for live and basicaly winging it ..................whoooooooooooooooooo
I can see why they left this out when they did the DVD. Extreme totally RAPED the other artists...Chills all over!
@xxCyanideRosexx nuno is the guitarist
the drummer looks like hes at an 8 year old drum kit
이새낀 신이야!
nunca entendi porq no decidieron q el sea el sucesor de Freddie
@Glover7493 no hes not lol :S
si HOMBRENG beraksi....lol
@ Solomonwantok - Maybe all you know is Bieber & Gaga, which is the reason that's all you hear.
Shoo! Go away.
@Sesilly Better rip off the CZcams videos. I had the same issue, forget it. VHS is fucked up.
2 guys have no tastes
For me, this is one of those," you remember where you were when you first saw it" moments.
