  • 1952 Summer Olympic Games in Helsinki, Finland - CharlieDeanArchives
"The 1952 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the XV Olympiad, were an international multi-sport event held in Helsinki, Finland, in 1952. Helsinki had been earlier selected to host the 1940 Summer Olympics, which were cancelled due to World War II. It had been the Olympic Games at which the most number of world records were broken, until surpassed by the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.[1] The Soviet Union, the People's Republic of China, and Israel made their Olympic debuts in Helsinki 1952." Все открыто, свободно, миллионы людей. Никаких ковидов, масок, закрытых стадионов. Все были здоровые, сильные и счастливые. 👍

Finland is counted by some people as a Scandinavian country but not a nordic one.

@@ingridlinbohm7682 Finland is actually a nordic country... Scandinavian countries (the two in the Scandinavian peninsula and Denmark) are grouped together as Scandinavian because of their common root language group. Finnish does not come from that group.

What a biased video. One would think only the US won anything. Emil Zatopek of Czechslovakia won 3 gold in athletics, Marjorie Jackson of Australia won 2 in the short hurdles, Yvette Williams of NZ won the long jump, Josey Barthel of Luxemburg won the 1500M
