And now Dooku's homeworld have been subjected to the Galactic Empire's occupation as shown in Bad Batch Season 2.
There was a comic with vader coming to punish sereno. Bring it back under imperial control.
Vader ordered the deaths of all the political leadership and had their children do the deed , or all would be executed. And pledge their loyalty to the empire afterwards.
I really wish they didn't make Dooku out to be a tyrant to his own people
At least Raxus was left untouched just under imperial control.
his name *was* darth tyranus
The Jedi: What do we do with the Force Harvester?
The Republic: Let's just bury it on a planet poisoned beyond belief.
The Jedi: That's... Not a bad idea actually.
A Capital is a location that has cultural heart for a government, perhaps it’s has a massive industrial complex that could supply refine resources for its people, or perhaps it geographical location is in the core territory of the government for its easy logistical support, or maybe it was simply the most important military structure that cannot be lost. So really many of these aspects could easier fit in the Raxus System importance in the Confederacy existence.
"This is where all droids go to die" - PROXY describing Raxus Prime
To quote Yoda: "On Raxus Prime, many ancient secrets, there are."
“This is where droids go to die”
PROXY The Force Unleashed
*“On that planet, many ancient secrets, there are.”*
~Yoda, regarding Raxus Prime
This quote may not be very long, but it speaks volumes of what Raxus Prime may truly hold if Grand Master Yoda speaks of what’s buried on this ruined world.
One of these worlds is a Filoni retcon that had to be integrated into EU. All other examples include Aleen Minor, Skako Minor, Malachor, and probably many more. Instead of sticking to existing descriptions of planets they redesigned them. Then some EU writer had to keep continuity going by duplicating planets.
though raxus and skako minor are quite easy to explain

Count Dooku's Signature Superiority.
I fell in love with Raxus Prime ever since The Force Unleashed came out. It's such a unique and cool planet, and I wish it was used more.
Citizen 1: "Raxus Prime is no fun any more. It used to be so good."
Citizen 2: "Hey fancy moving to Raxus Secundus? It's nice and green."
Citizen 1: "Hell yes. Better than this slag heap of a world."
Would have loved to see a special ops mission on Raxus during the Clone Wars
Ah yes, Raxus Prime... home of most of my frustrations when playing Force Unleashed.
It’s where I got stuck playing as a kid. I think I rented the game, so I never got past it. It’s also where my mom got a bit concerned about my vicious rage against jawas 😂 I don’t remember why, but the jawas on raxus were a PAIN.
Would love to hear more about the system, especially what/if anything became of it during the reign of the empire!
Everyone who reads this, first of all I want to apologize. On that, the biggest peeve that I have with any of these historical reviews is the mentioning of the time periods, i.e. 25,000 BBY, 300 BBY, 100 ABY, et cetera. I wish that the Republic/Empire would have had a more centralized form of calendar including months and dates, and it can be correlated via Coruscant, as that world served as the central authority world for both the Republic and the Empire. But outside of that, PLEASE continue with these fine clips, because I REALLY enjoy them. Thanks.
They should really have the rusaan reformation as the in universe saying system
@@theliato3809, apparently they did at one point, but that got replaced with the BBY/ABY system after the Galactic Civil War.
How about a video on the Battle of Raxus Prime that took place during the Clone Wars?
If you ever remember reading the Boba Fett books around 2003/2004 then you definitely remember Raxus Prime.
Thank you.
I've only wanted to know this since reading Han Solo and the Lost Legacy in 1981.
Background on Xim the Despot, an explanation for (what I recognized as Xim's War Robots being trophy statues on the floating casinos of Nar Shadda in Old Republic games...everything.
This was an extremely fascinating lore dive.
I've been hearing that planet recently from the Star wars vs Warhammer 40k videos it was great
It is a good addition to the lore from Disney.
One of the few that seamlessly connects.
I love your channel so much your answer all of my star wars questions
8:07 That meme pose of a guy shouting "THIS IS IT!" at the tornado heading his way.
This sure makes me torn... which is the better homebase planet: the otherwise clean yet cringingly overcomplacent Coruscant or literal trash heap but admittedly honest Raxus Prime?
Raxus Prime, but I'd rather have part of neither.
Hell yeah let's get a Tionese lore series going!
The Tion Cluster deserved better. The systems there should not remained inside the Republic against their wills. Speaking of which, will the Separatists be allowed to secede peacefully if Palpatine did not intentionally mess things up as part of his plan to turn the Republic into the Empire?
You can thank the hutts for that.
They raced a good chunk of the Tion cluster to the ground so many fled into the arms for protection and hope for a better life.
It’s only by the time of the clone wars the hutts grew too fat and lazy to be a threat that the idea of Tion became reinvigorated
First, great video like always.
Second, WHOOO! After like almost four years of commenting on almost every video, I finally got chosen as the Comment of the Week. Thank you for this honor, Grand Master Geetsly. :)
Complete with a Lumity PFP, to boot.
@@michaelandreipalon359 Yup. :)
I'd love a video on serino
8:06 I love the casual screenshot of the Tangled Shore from Destiny 2.
Thats a destiny screenshot at 8:00
Tangled shore lost sector, though the name of that particular one eludes me right now.
How about you do a video on the earliest known history of Coruscant.
You should cover the planet, Zonama Sekot. It's a planet that can travel through hyperspace. I lost count of how many times I recommended this
The Senate is the heart of Star Wars.
So Palpatine is since he's the senate?
Can you be the heart of you have none?
Raxus Prime; the Borderlands' Pandora in the Star Wars Universe.
So something occurred to me, if Raxus Secundus is the capital of the Confederacy of Independent Systems aka Separatist Alliance then how was the Republic able to send a strike force to Raxus Prime during the Dark Reaper Crisis if they are in the same system ?
In the Clone Wars game I believe the strike force goes there early enough that the Republic Navy doesn’t have Venators. And the strike force is only made up of one or two Acclimators to land the troops. So if we consider that, how did Anakin and Obi Wan not be concerned that they’d be attacked by any fleet that would be protecting the Seperatist capital ?
Simple, Raxus 2 didn't exist yet.
Or better yet why waste troops on a junk yard when the enemy could strike your home world while your fighting said junkyard.
It could have been part of a larger scale distraction, as some form of rapid strike force. The battles on Raxus Prime could not have been more than a couple hours at most.
Dooku was there and the Force Harvester. I'd say that warrants some form of assault opportunity.
In the game, the GAR was ambushed and decimated, and its suggested Obi Wan is one of the few survivors, after Anakin is taken prisoner.
acclaimators are very fast, they can come and go in a blink of an eye, perfect for missions like that which require entering the metaphorical belly of the beast.
Raxus prime is actually Mars and Raxus Secundus is actually Earth, lot can happen in millions of years 😂😂
I think thier was a battle in the early dsys of the cline wars , kenobi was ordered to attack raxus . ( major defeat) . Palpatine set him up to fail .
Everything I've seen of Raxus Prime reminds me of the trash planet from Soldier, for some reason. 🙂
Finally something new! Thank you bro
The destiny image at 8:01 caught me really off guard 💀
I think your channel is the only Star Wars channel I can still watch
4:45 I’ve never heard of concubines having “Lovers” before!?
Raxus Prime: Petersburg, VA.
Raxus secondus: Richmond, VA.
Zim conquered the rest of the Tion cluster? Guess we can call him Invader Zim, eh 😏
Being part of one of the larger centers of non republic human civilization in the outer rim. I figure raxus and by extension much of the tion cluster became an important center of power in any major outer rim polity such Zims empire, the Second Sith Empire, New Sith domains, and then the Confederacy
Indeed, it did. I actually have a headcanon of what happens after the events of the OT, and in it, the Tion Cluster gains independence as its own republic and becomes a dominant power in the Outer Rim after a few decades.
@@occam7382 Cannonically. The confederacy of independent systems rose again so tion might be the new Capitol of a notable power
Why didn’t the Empire use the Death Star and blow up Raxus Prime since it’s no longer used? Why did the Republic allow Raxus Prime to get that bad, didn’t they have any environmental laws?
The death star isn't used on worlds that have no value, it's used on problem worlds with high amounts of rebel activity. Like Alderaan. Or what would have been Chandrilla or Mon Calimari.
Not to mention it wasn't complete until shortly before episode 4.
The almost definitely didn’t have environmental laws considering the strip mined several planets to make said Death Star
Environmental laws??? Don't make me laugh
You get these junk worlds like this one because there are no real laws governing such practices, heck, in a roundabout way, places like these are a great way to handle other planets hazardous waste.
@@brennenwilde4303 I was referring to the Republic in my 2nd question, why did they allow their companies to do that, and didn’t they have environmental laws?
@@jmwilliamsart I’m pretty sure it was for individual worlds and systems to decide that. And if you controls most of galactic manufacturing you can get away with a lot of stuff. Remember the republic was always corrupted to a degree. A few pay off here and there. Some manufactured crisis here to distract the people.
Sounds like the planet names used to the Dune series of books
They occupy the same system...of course they have history.
Hey now... you've got to have a landfill somewhere...
I wonder how long the sw universe has had space faring species? By the original movie they had been space faring for more than 25000 years.i wonder how it all started.
I get Dune vibes from this Video.
Was that the planet Darth Maul was found alive on?
Cheeky ain't ya? Sneaking in a Destiny 2 screenshot and thinking people wouldn't notice :P
It's understandable to think more than not would notice, I myself am unfamiliar with Destiny 2 beyond it being a GAS model game. Anyways, timestamp?
@ 8:00
🤙
Raxus Prime looks like part's of Earth right NOW!!
I Love new uploads
Cheers
The Tion Cluster was right to secede!
Which junk planet do you prefer bracca or raxus prime?
And things only got worse for them by the time the empire arrived.
👍
👍👍👍👍👍
I asked how that system because the heart of seperatisim not the story of raxus prime
Gentrification.
Ah yes, invader zim.
Sounds like a Dune ripoff with those names lol
That's EXACTLY what it MEANS to be FINANCIALLY STRONG & INDEPENDENT ! Don't NEED no MAN !
Name and handle checkout, sending out interceptors to bring them in for inspection, tractor-beam and photon torpedoes, tracking and ready
"Seeding Human Colonies" sounds the same as "spreading cancer!!"
