Shocking man management. This guy ain’t gonna last long.
Agree. He’s down there with Rooney for management skills.🤡
What he said to Dabo was unnecessary.
Absolutely, why would any of these players would want to give their all for the gaffer now after these comments.
👀
👀👀👀
And he's gone...
Disappointing again from Deeney. Blaming the players doesn't help. The main problem is that they look lost and disorganised and that's down to managers/coaches. Harrogate were way better than us today but I don't think it's down to having better players. Theirs just understood their roles and we're able to play with confidence.
Don't know why this surprises anyone. This guy is a thug, man laying on the floor, Deeney kicks him in the head, he suffered a broken jaw and another required 20 stitches as a result of the brawl in Broad Street. How on earth anyone thought he'd be a good manager is beyond me.
How exactly is demoralising the players really going to get the best out of them?
Shocking.
Perhaps there tossing it offhes obviously got not faith in most of em
Troy Deeney retired from the game of football when he left Watford. Took the piss for two years out of 'his' club Birmingham City by not running, working and more importantly not doing the job he was paid to do- scoring goals ! Walking around the pitch and pointing is all we got . Now, he is in charge at Forest Green and an expert analyst just incredible !
Mate, he took the piss out of Watford in his last 18 months as well!!
@nickg2117 doesn't surprise me ! Take care.
Took the great trevor Francis’s number 8 shirt too and still couldn’t be arsed
!!!!!
Troy is making a BIG mistake by publicly crucifying the players. He will learn to regret it in the future.
this aged well
Proper bell end
Wow, a PL fan here, but this is bold from Deeney isnt it! Cant see him lasting long if this is what hes like already
Yes it is a bottom of league2 club. The league table does not lie. Also bottom of the table for match day revenue. Which obviously effects the clubs ability to afford players.
You were right - sacked 4 days after your comment
@@jacobscarr2334yep
@@jacobscarr2334 haha fucking hell latest I'd seen was he had a 4 match ban. Went in like a steam roller!
@jakemorrison8507 it is reprehensible and genuinely disgusting to hear any manager come out with this. When you lose a game that is on you for how you used your team and what you decided going into a game.
The team operates based on how you train them and how you coach them. Their failings of course can be heavily criticised in a training room or given man management, but NEVER ON A POST MATCH INTERVIEW have I seen a manager go out of his way to abuse an entire team and mis manage them.
This behaviour is shambolic. It is far from management material. And let's be straight, who the f*** is Deeney to be saying about what a team can be when his best was a championship fluke goal against Leicester to bring them to the Premier league, to a season where Watford showed zero respect to any official.
This man doesn't understand the meaning of the word respect. He shouldn't be near football.
Surprised he didn't trot out his "I've been broke, I've been to prison, my dad left us when I was young, my mother worked 3 jobs, up hill both ways" speech like he's some kind of everyman
😂😂😂😂
I’m a Luton fan so should hate Deeney. He was Mr.watfud for a decade and we despise the dirty filthy yellow belly bar stewards. But andre’s comment here is embarrassing. I guarantee that he’s a glory hunter.
But he didn’t say all of that and that’s actually his story! Troy’s problem is that he’s very abrupt and doesn’t think before he speaks, hence why he’s now unemployed…
Well, Birmingham City fan here, and I'm sorry to say I feel sorry for FGR fans and players. I follow your team. But I have to say, even though you should always see passion and honesty from your manager. Slating virtually your whole team for performances in public is just going to disconnect the club. A good manager works with what he has and builds players confidence.
The last few post match interviews are demoralising to say the least. I like Troy, but mate, don't throw the whole team under the bus. Positivity and good man management will do wonders.
I feel for FGR at this time.
I was thinking the same. He turned to the fans on Saturday and said "maybe I should go on and f**king mark him" regarding Odoh. Clearing expressing disgust at the players - it felt like he'd passed the note onto the team and they hadn't listened. BUT I like his passion and hunger, but to see him openly slate his team to the fans, WHILST they're still on the field felt a little embarrassing.
Love the energy, love the passion, but bollockings have to go on behind closed doors.
@@GlenNigelMatthews I can assure you this debunks veganism.
Forest Green have the weakest match day revenue in League2. Match day revenue effects the clubs ability to play wages for players. Vegan food does not sell well and the club is in a remote location.
League 1 revealed this last season as rival clubs had more funds for player wages.
Now Forest Green is in free fall.
@malcolmbartram5273 How does a football match debunk veganism? Actual facts plz. I'll wait.
Blue nose saying im sorry but will always love him even if hes a pice of shit well i never 😅 utv
He's lost the dressing room. You can't do this publicly. He might be right but you don't do this publicly.
Don't get the issue. Say it how it is ! Players are shit and he said it like it is. Fair play for being so honest.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 this if the funniest manager in the world matee I might start watchin league 2
Whilst us fans can say what we like about the group or individuals, and whilst I do agree with much of what Troy says, he needs to be careful with these club interviews. Barely anyone watches them apart from a few fans and the players. He was the most critical yet last week after Salford, and this is what we got today. I would say I hope he knows what he’s doing, but that’s impossible as he’s never done this before 😐
Rooney did the exact same at Birmingham city, blaming the players week in week out and wondered why they wouldn't play for him. By all means do it in the dressing room but not to the media
In case you guys missed it,
I’ve started managing a struggling team and I’ve told them they’re bad but yet still they play awful what more can I do🤷♂️
Lost the dressing room. An experienced EFL manager is needed.
Troy Deeney ain't got a clue, he didn't wanna run for the Blues. He ain't gonna put time and craft into being a manager either. He'll be sacked before we know it.
Incredible prediction!!!! 👀👀👀
The david brent of football management 😂
“Go on! Get out! Time wasters!”
He'd like to think of himself as a friend first, and boss second.
Ive got yall in my eafc career mode lol 😂
I like Troy as a player and person, however, this is yet another example of players taking on managerial roles when they don't have the credentials or experience. A great lesson in how not to manage people though..
Deeney is an absolute joker 😂😂
Hanging your players out to dry in public will really help them win games won’t it! There’s a losing mentality at FGR and appointing an in experienced coach/manager was the worst decision your board ego-owner could’ve done. If you can’t defend you won’t win a point let alone 3. Your first appointment should’ve been an experienced L1/L2 coach. I see one of your new singings was sent off. That’s two games running. Will Deeney survive past the end of January at this rate? 6 games, no wins and 7 points from safety. Not looking good at the moment.
stop talking shit players are payed good money to perform to a certain standard, keep them self fit when did everyone become a snow flake
@@Rxbarber__ Truth obviously hurts! We had the same problem but DC came in with the same players and got them organised, ‘fitter’, playing formations to their strengths. All loans bar one gone back. Just one experienced midfielder bought in. Not had a fully fit squad to select from but has managed mid table form over the last 14 games with only one addition. Thats after not scoring for 11 games gaining just one point. He’s been the difference. You could’ve hired him instead of sticking with Horseman. You would’ve been out of the bottom two by now. Deeney’s out of his depth and not ready to manage a relegation battle.
What a brilliant way of alienating himself from the Forest Green players with his comments in not one but two post game interviews now, why would any of the players want to play for him and give him their all when he talks about them like this…
This is Dwight Yorke's fault. If only he was around during his childhood this wouldn't happen! He would be a better role model.
It did change quickly
How is this guy a manager?
love to see it. this is what a decade at watford does 😂
3 points in 6 games as manager. Not good Troy.
This guy 😂. Basically a roadman as your manager, finished club 😭
I don't know what a roadman is but I know he is one.
Troy Deeney has made comments such as ‘this is just a hobby to me’ and it shows. No regard for his players or team let alone respect. If he’s an ex-player who had a long career why doesn’t he understand the affect of his words? disgraceful.
Worst performance I've seen all season. Dabo has to go awful. Jones has to go (might as well not be on the pitch).
Positive - new recruit Thompson is fast, hungry and I reckon he's got a lot to show this season.
Way OTT the reaction
He's sulking and blaming other people 😂
You’re not looking at the whole pie though Troy. Wernham Hogg is like one big pie….
He's just a chilled out entertainer.
@@marcusking8507 What’s more important? You Dale, with your ‘climate crisis’? Or 3 points on Saturday?
@@koneezy You've got 11 players out on the pitch Troy; I don't even know what you're using them for.
You must have some sort of system...
He knows he can't say what he said . He's intelligent enough . It puzzles me why he lost composure.
that'll change very quickly , with you out the door
So. Farewell, then Troy Deeney . . .
What a clown
How is this shocking?, the players are full grown men!!!!! WHAT A SOFT SOCIETY WE NOW LIVE IN!!!!!! Everyone crying 😂😂😂
Only Ten Hag can pull his players pants down and get away with it.
Not You Deeney!
Fair Play Deeney, need more men like you, because we’re getting so soft. Look at the reaction, you'd think you'd committed a crime. it's ridiculous. Thats a standard football interview 20/30 years ago. now all we hear is waaa waaa waas
Good managers work with what they have. It's not intelligent to be a big hard man and blast your players publicly, because they're just not going to play for you.
They will just get him sacked for this simple as that
That was short
@@dominicheaney9242 oh right, this will be interesting to listen too then
@@fbgaming5972 It's not good. Should be sacked for the interview alone
Never liked deeney, he's very pretentious.
A chav will always be a chav!
Doesn't appear to have the temperament or poise to be a successful manager. Perhaps lacks the patience and man management skills to get a good tune out of a squad low on confidence. Chairman might want to reconsider whilst the gap isn’t so big. 🤔
Is this a prank?
Says what he's feeling top bloke
Exactly troy s not that type of guy to come out and gloss over the facts the truth hurts but it needs to be said
Not the right approach Troy
Anyone who refers to themselves in the 3rd person has definitely got an inflated view of themselves 🤦♂️
Dead man walking p45 is in the post
Who appointed this guy? He went on mastermind and got 0 points on the subject that he picked 😅
Worlds gone soft 😂 …. Everyone moaning id rather a manager says it how it is all this media trained scripted off the cuff crap is boring now a man who says how it is and he gets scrutiny 😅
There goes his only chance as a manager. How not to be as a boss. Probably the worst we’ve ever seen?
What an awful human being and manager. Actually feel sorry for you guys and the players at this point
😂😂😂😂
What is this obsession of EFL clubs appointing novice managers based on their playing careers. It happened first with Duncan Ferguson, now with Troy Deeney. I correctly predicted that Wayne Rooney would be a disaster at BCFC. For goodness sake, do these clubs want to be relegated. Can’t they see that they need experienced EFL managers to get them the wins they need to stay up and progress.
Boo hoo. He gave some harsh assessments and perhaps he should’ve been a little more tactful but it’s hypercritical if people weren’t thinking the same thing and the manager had the balls to say something. Especially in today’s society when you can’t say anything.
Embarrassing
Thinks he’s better than pep
Get him out of this club now
Funny you’re into fixing things
It took you 20 years to get ya teeth done
What a bell end.
Snowflake central in the comments, did he lie with anything that was said ? Abit of harsh truth and people start crying and acting offended get a grip most of you are adults
Get thst donut out of your club. He was a waste of time at my club Birmingham city fc.
TBH: it's the CLUB. Who appoints the coach? Who recruits the players? Trying to be a "woke" football club introduces the obvious maxim: go woke, go broke. And this club is broken, will be relegated and a Trivial Pursuit question in future years. (What football club went gesture signalling vegan, and lost it all?)
I agree with every word you stated Michael. A pity there aren't more like you.
Apart from of course they were also “woke” when they won the league and got promoted? Where were you when we were good?
Buffon. It’s people who are going broke that created the whole anti-woke thing, so they can make money off people like you, getting you outraged so you watch their content
lol , he missed charm school , awful interview
Typical bluenose. Worst in the country
Blame veganism. Veganism leads to weak matchday revenue. Proof being attendence figures. Weak match day revenue means the club will not get good players.
I'd argue attendance figures are low because the club is bottom of the EFL and in the middle of nowhere.
Low attendances are because they're based in a village
Woke football club good riddance
