Kaspersky is the best one in terms of protection. Have no free version though (but plenty of free 1 months codes available) and a little heavy on resources (had no problems with it on my PC but I imagine it could be a problem if you have weak notebook).

I should clarify that my seizures aren't epileptic, so my experiences may differ from yours. ***** No AVG isn't good. McAfee is probably best. Norton and Avast are good, but AVG is horrible.
Kaspersky is the best one in terms of protection. Have no free version though (but plenty of free 1 months codes available) and a little heavy on resources (had no problems with it on my PC but I imagine it could be a problem if you have weak notebook).
***** I like McAfee, because it protects from viruses. It is bad at removing them.

***** I do, and I dunno... It was too brief to bug me that much. It was annoying when it came up, but not nearly seizure-inducing.
I should clarify that my seizures aren't epileptic, so my experiences may differ from yours. Though most of my seizures have happened while playing video games, they never happened while I was watching a flashing screen.
