Your exactly right. I'm so sick of it I stopped with modern gaming after the PS3, I just don't care for it anymore. I went back and to my old SNES, PS1, PS2 (I mostly play J-RPG's) and I'm just so relieved a game is the cartridge or the disc and that's it. Yes some games have bugs but I enjoy them when stumbling upon them. No micro transactions, no updates, no messages of: BUY KNOW FOR THIS AND THIS CRAP DLC PROMO CODE LIMITED SUPER RARE bla bla bla, no FTP, no time limited grinding or expeditions (sure there is grinding but now it's just getting ridiculous in my opinion).

Except for that paying any money is 100% optional and I know for a fact you can get through the game without spending a penny if you want to. People are just lazy anymore and want everything in a game handed to them. If you feel like you need to spend money to have the chance to get top of the line stuff because that's the only way for you to play the game than you are terrible at the game and that is your issue not theirs.
Love how this game used the Battle Royale as a gimmick first only to get played only for this feature, as the PvE mode is just garbage.

It's oddly fun but true
Summary
It's a fun game ruined by F2P mechanics and there are way too many of them. The man hours of development seem to have been spent on ensuring you run out of all the resources very quickly due to horrible RNG, painfully limited bag space and the fact that you destroy most of your loot levelling stuff up which then gets destroyed once it's been used for a while. They then offer a easy solution, buy loot Pinata that has a chance to drop everything you need, you can either use real cash or the painfully slow accumulation of in game credits. Not many man hours seem to have gone into the main part of the game.
It's a huge shame that we have probably the best building mechanics ever, great control and gun play, beautiful graphics and sound and a nice world loot system where you can break apart anything for materials and it's all ruined by a shallow repetitive grind that becomes boring after a few hours. I am staggered that the main game is so dull, many missions force you to repeat them as you have to kill X number of special zombies but only half of them appeared in the game you just played so pop back in for another 30 mins of looting, grinding, building, shooting of the same shit.
It will not doubt get heaps of praise as Epic Games have already bought a huge number of CZcamsrs who are more than willing to blow sunshine up the arse of this game www.epicgames.com/fortnite/en-US/search-for-survivors/commanders in return for loot ;) It's also on console so I expect a huge amount of love for a game that is as shallow as puddle for gameplay and deep as an ocean for loot.
It's not terrible, it's quite fun and I will play it again for sure, it's just not worth the ridiculous asking price when it's totally set up for F2P. The game does not know what it is at the moment, it's Pay to play with F2P mechanics and it totally does not work.
Worth A Buy I think it is going to be F2P anyways. I think they said sometime in 2018 this was just early access. Shit they are charging $60 bucks on console. I think I will wait until next year to play this for free thanks for the review and the heads up.

yeah, it came out of alpha and you are paying for early access beta. You will have something that the "f2p" people will not (some characters) but that is about it.
How can something that doesn't even have pvp, be p2w. :l Plus you get too much good shit from it to be p2w. I already got many of the best weapons in the game, yet I'm only starting the second area. The problem will come when it actually does go free to play but as it stands, even if you buy the just the base game. You get so much shit, its not even funny. Its like they turned a 35 pound bundle into a 100 pound one. Plus the limited edition, only worth thing is the 3 game coppies, which on their own is 105 pounds. So you're only paying like 15 more pounds for the limited edition. Which is why its so funny that people complain about the big packs being bad.
Another game ruined by greedy businessmen. Just release a full priced game and make the progression system fun instead. I love skill trees when they are done right. But with this design, the online community will be dead in a month, and all your microtransactions buried with it.

They're basically telling you that their game is so terrible, they have to major in the psychology of gambling in order to prey on a demographic of addicts to make their game profitable (in an industry where most of them fail).

yeah my dude its so easy to level up and you definitely dont hit a huge pay wall when you enter the second zone, if you get this game for free from a friend dont say no as the first zone is actually fun but when you get into the second zone it becomes a grind and all you are doing is waiting for a daily mission that will give you v bucks

I really really like this game and I don't have any trouble finding resources at all... Also all of the loot pinatas are accessible in game. Get a high score on a mission, almost guaranteed a pinata, complete a main mission you get pinatas, collect things in your collection book you get a pinata. Farm resources for fifteen minutes you can max out your building blocks. This game is a blast with friends. Also EVERY SINGLE task you complete gives you XP cards. EVERY SINGLE TASK. That's my experience.

It is very important that people with a brain reject this and other games like it. If it even makes a little money they will continue to grind these things out to keep people immersed in these games and keep them too occupied mentally to be aware of how they are becoming slaves.

Redman you must be to young to remember when there was no such thing as Steam or anything of the sorts. Before then you had to make an account for every individual company you played a game from. Generally accounts worked across all games made by said company but as soon as you looked else where boom another account. If making a account and remembering a login and password is enough to bar you from a game than gaming probably isn't your thing anyway.

Since they diverted their focus to there battle royal mode they haven't even been developing the PVE Save The World which is what we actually paid for. Another sign that they are totally greedy and only care about that one thing, money.

On a serious note, you can get alot of pinyatas just by playing the game. Each mission is fun to play and unique enough to make me come back. The weapons you get in chests is not always bad and you find enough of them to not require any schematics for a long time.
I have the cheapest edition and i am having a blast.
EDIT: I am not a very hard person to please, so people can have other oppinions of course!

This game looked great a few years ago conceptually but it's just become an average p2w already PAID game and checks all the corporate boxes to become another average grindy mmo.
To be honest, I really like the game. I've only paid for the base game, and have about 30-40 hours. Schematics aren't uncommon, or walled as much as you say. I've not paid for any piñatas, and I've put 90% of the paid currency the daily quests give to me into the BR version of the game. Leveling up your weapons and heroes and traps and all that is easier than this video says, as the xp drops fairly frequently. It takes about 5-10 minutes of grinding to give you enough materials for the next hour or two, and if I devoted an hour to getting enough resources ONLY to make copies of my main guns, I could probably play the rest of the game with the resources I gain. Gaining new schematics isn't too difficult, as they occasionally drop from missions, and you get an abundant amount of mini-piñatas as you play. Events also grant free piñatas every so often, walling even less. You portray this game as a Great Wall of China of sorts, but when you look at it, it's just the American-Mexican border fence.

(TL;DR at bottom) There is no way he'll give warframe a proper chance. Everything that can help you either isn't explained (well), or you have to look it up to understand it, the big grind that is part of the game, the in-depth combat that isn't apparent right away (it starts off as a mindless button masher and, depending on what you do, can take a while before it becomes more than that), as well as in-depth pretty much everything means he will most likely have a complaint that isn't valid in one way or another, because it's fixed sooner or later if he does X, Y or Z. Warframe is basically way too big of a game for him to get a proper review for within a week.
TL;DR Warframe is far too big a game for him to give a proper review of without eventually spouting out how it's nothing but a big grind fest and how "*THEY JUST WANT YOUR FOOKIN MONEY GUYS! THAT'S ALL THEY WANT NOWADAYS (ding ding dingx100)*". So he'd either have to play it for longer than a week before reviewing it, lest he demonize the game far more than it needs to be.

Yes it should. Rift was a pay monthly mmo, a good one too, but after years of competing with wow it eventually dropped the monthly charge and went F2P by adding a cash shop. It was all done so well, no underhanded dealings, but when you look at Fortnight it's disgusting. If the game is going F2P in 15 months fine, leave out the F2P elements until then.

Fortnite Save The World is to this day not worth a buy. It’s shit. Fortnite Battle Royal is worth a download. Shits free and always changing, well worth trying out and jumping into from time to time. Don’t ever fucking buy the Fortnite PvE mode it’s not worth playing at all and hey, just don’t buy into the item shop and you have yourself a nice cross platform cross/progression game. Not the best but far from the worst. Has always been that way since it’s Battle Royal launched.

I just realy loved the class-based zombie shooter to defend a base...the game is just a fucking gamble machine dont buy it
it has RPG elements, along with random loot drops. these are the GOOD points for me. the game would suck if you unlocked everything up front, it would be boring AF. D3 is the same, random loot, skills that unlock over time via XP, incremental improvements to your stats and skills, replay value. etc. although d3 kinda sucks due to how it was managed, the gameplay elements that make an RPG an RPG are what this reviewer is complaining about? its not a competitive game, so get over it, its not pay to win, its a co-op for faks sake. anyway just my opinion. it sounds like you are complaining about how much content is in the game? many players are already reporting there is no need to pay for any additional stuff as you can earn them all in game, and the game will eventually be F2P. I don't usually spend anything for games, but for a game that is good and willing to go F2P, but still make all content available in game via farming at no cost, I will support this game with my money, just because I like that kind of attitude from a company. its not a bad game at all. if you can't handle the complexity, you are better off playing generic shooters
dude this game isn't complex at all and the attitude from the company is "we want money we want money" and i assume when you say D3 you mean diablo 3 which is a game i played and reached lvl 70 paragon i cant even remember. the thing with d3 is that when you progress you progress consistently and can actually put many many many hours into it before it gets to the point where you are just increasing each statpoint by 1 to get higher rifts cleared, but in this game when you hit that wall at about 15 - 20 hours in it takes either countless hours of extremely repetitive grind because theres only 2 maps that are worthwhile so you are just doing the same thing over and over again OR IN THIS GAME YOU COULD JUST SPEND LIKE 50 BUCKS AND PROGRESS WINK WINK WINK
The game is great. Microtransactions are there, but you can earn plenty V bucks in game. You do not have to spend a dime to play. I never spend a dime on game and I have better Items and power level then my friends that spend 150 dollars on game. I hate reviewers like you. Just because RNG loot sytem and grinding games are not your cup of tea you go out your way to make game look bad. Its not perfect, but no where close to being bad like your trying so hard to potray.

I rather play better games by the time this turns f2p. In 2018 there will be another f2p title im keeping my eye on and im quite sure will be great. Its called Hunt: Showdown. Cant wait to play it.

Fun game. I like to lvl up and unlock something after some grind. That is what makes me to play games. Its just maybe not for everyone. p2w? so pvp is in a game? i mean against who you want to win? :D And a hunt looks interesting but its like just another battleroyale type of game. Who knows there is pvp in Hunt so maybe there will be actual p2w with some microtransactions. I mean you never know now. Gaming is ruined anyway by greed.
Sounds like old Crossout - you loot everything for any thing - and then your guns break without repair.
Needless to say - Crossout is now barely alive with all that grindy grind.
Same fate awaits this game if they dont fix it.

10 attacks per stormshield with up to 5 waves per battle, for those curious. 4 of which are optional side quests I should add. I can understand the frustration which can make ppl ignore that tho...

7 days to die is still the best survival zombie game. Alpha 16 just come out which is the biggest patch update yet. Electricity, traps, sensors, turrents, sleeper zombies, long distance terrain, so much more POI's. Developers are still giving so much love to that game. Still fairly cheap for what you getting and non of this in game purchases bullcrap. Real developers are real gamers
Game companies should hire this guy to play test the shit out of their games for a week before they launch. Always on point with these criticisms.

Will you be covering Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, the idea really appeals to me about battling psychosis , one thing I know your going to rip apart is when the voice in her head shouts "behind you" you'll love it Mack 😂😂 honestly though it looks decent bar the behind you part .
I've met a lot of mothers around my area who's children play this game constantly and some of them were saying that they end up spending hundreds of pounds on micro-transactions and add-ons and all sorts of bullcrap. and they just accept it and say "well it keeps them happy, I'll buy it" I mean come on! I work in a store and someone bought "the winter pack edition" where you just get a few new guns, outfits and a few vehicles for the player for £20 and she said "it's really good for the price" (probably not aware it's a free to pay game) obviously I couldn't tell her not to buy it but man... I hate modern gaming. just preying on innocent children and un-suspecting parents who think this is normal.

As long as there are dumb kids and push over parents who are willing to spend money on this crap, it's never gonna end, in fact there will be more and more micro-transactions and even "18+" games (look at cod) are playing along with the battle royal style and meme culture comedy with silly guns and cosmetics that are only really there to incite kids into buying said items. Remember when the Kardashians made millions off that terrible phone game? well, if that trash can earn millions then imagine how much big companies like this are getting away with. From a business stand point, stopping this now would be dumb and I'm afraid the games of old are unfortunately withering away and now all were getting is online only (easier to sell micro-transactions that way) grind fests where little kids can easily defeat you not because of skill, but because of pay to win bullshit. the gamers aren't getting any better and god help me when I have kids and they start playing games like fortnite. Hell maybe I'll only let em play singer player only games, they may hate me for it, but these shady companies ain't worth it.

There are a lot of different objectives, you just don't start getting introduced to it until part-way through Plankerton. There are also elements - and near the end of Plankerton you get introduced to that. Weaknesses/strengths (think pokemon). At this point traps are pretty dang necessary.
So after 40 hours game play they offer you some different objectives, lol great game design.
Yeah, literally the amount of objectives expands a crap ton...and I have to ask why all of the stuff is so far into the game..
