- Today sees the phenomenal 8-piece band Kokoroko announce their long-awaited debut album 'Could We Be More', due for release on August 5th 2022 via Brownswood Recordings. To celebrate the announcement, sharing a brand new track from the album called ‘We Give Thanks’. Introducing ‘We Give Thanks’ today, Kokoroko explain:
“We were imagining playing live with this one - it's definitely written with that energy we get towards the end of a set. Some shows, like La Cigalle in Paris or Paradiso in Dam have legit felt magical for us & you always want to give that energy back. This is us trying to do that.”

I can't believe how happy this makes me. When new music sounds this good there is hope for the future. Come tour the states asap please! :)
Saw you some time ago in a theatre in Berlin when I worked there and am a fan since. Your sound and skills are amazing, but what struck me even more was the joy you all seemed to have on stage with your own music. The technicians working really loved you for your professionalism and down to earth behavior, as well as your music. That says a lot when people who have to attend concerts every day as of their really exhausting jobs like you. Greetings from Berlin, hope to see you again soon!
OH YES KOKOROKO IS GUARANTEED TO DELIVER THE ENERGY TO MAKE YOUR BODY INEXPLICABLY MOVE AND DANCE ITS HEART OUT!! As a drummer, I absolutely love Salawu's style. It's extremely difficult to replicate his drums and that's how you know you have an extraordinary drummer. Kokoroko please join your brothers Sons of Kemet and come to Los Angeles!!! We love you!!!
instant magic to my ears and heart. thank you fabulous Kokoroko! pre-order on its way.
Saw them in Edinburgh this year, two days before my birthday. Well after a really wonderful show, I went to the pub and enjoyed a folk session whilst I waited for the coach home. Five minutes too long at the pub and I miss the coach. I sat on the bench, on my own feeling rather hopeless. A few hours of searching later, I find two lovely individuals who let me crash on their sofa and saved me from a freezing cold sleep on a bench or in a doorway. To the two of you, I give thanks!
We Love You Too
I give thanks for a Brand New Kokoroko!!
