I have this Amp & the bass knob started acting funky...I unplugged it and plugged it back & now I'm not getting no sound...everything thing is on but I still get no sound...what do u think it could be & would it be worth fixing???
Cool test, thanks brother!
Hi
Thank you sir!
Okay so here is my experience with this amplifier, I had an old one and it was wired to half ohm for 3yrs+ on a set of soundqubed hds3.2 15's and clamped 4k clean and one day I lifted her skirt and underneath was a beautiful korean board and nice amplifier!!! So I eventually ended up selling that amp and then I bought another one recently and just to get another glimpse under the hood, I lifted the cover and what do I find??? A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT AMP Soundstream had contracted out to have them made in CHINA and they're junk, I had it wired to 1ohm for 3wks on a pair of kicker comp R 12's and it was smoked smh so if you're looking for one of these then make sure to get an older one and take the back cover off n make sure it is a Korean board, those ones will happily run at half ohm all day long....
They did the same thing to the tn4.900D
So how can you tell if its a Korean board
How you get the old one?
@@alanclark9000 what you mean lol I bought it dude and it just so happens I got lucky and it was the old version, if you want to better your odds of getting the good one then buy used and get one that has already survived like mine was ran at half ohm for 3yrs and still clamping 4k so yeah.... then I buy a open box special on ebay (Chinese version) n the damn thing works for like a week and dies- powers on but no sound and it was wired to 1ohm on a pair of kicker compR 12's so wasn't barely even pushed at all....
@@kevinAuman1 well I was trying to get a amp that pulls less amp current and puts out more watts. I don't want a new amp that pulls 300 amps of current to get 3000watts that's dum
Bro you need adapters. That amp needs dual runs to keep voltage up inside it. I learned this the hard way.
The 6k rating is if you strap 2 of them together so its only rated at 3k for a single unit
😎 yup I say the same thing.
If it says 6000 watts max it should be 3000 rms. And a .5 ohm. You did .8 and got 3333 watts. So at .5 it would still put out more power. So it met rated power.
Keep em coming!
Why didn't you try half ohms continuous? It a half ohms amp this test isn't finished in my opinion.
Customers amp
Half ohm on the dyno is NOT comparable to wiring at .5 as the manufacturer rates it for.
Running . 8 on the dyno should be similar to wiring .5 in normal use.
@@Facekicker I guess? I know my amps are at .25ohms per amp. I'm sure after box rise its .80 or 1.2ohms per Hifonics amp. I'm going to test it soon.
Yeah that’s some weird shit
Your right it’s unfinished we will never know now if it’s true .5 ohm stable
@@gamerboy3777 he did a video of this amp at half ohms and it worked but it didn't do any more power.
I would like to see half n ohm but do understand why you didn't. And far as the 4 ohm test I dont think many folks run that high however gerting the numbers off a dyno helps everyone know what power ratings they can expect if they using 3 ohm and also validates the rest of the ratings. Thanks for posting the vid ive been curious.
I run 4 of these on 4 hdc3 12z and 95ah cmax battery and I do a 155.6 baby
Finally a dyo of one of my favorite amps. They rate the amps at 3000 rms at .5 the "max" is just a cheap amp thing I guess. Been running mine at .5 for 3 years now with no issues. For around 300 bucks t the time I cant complain. Awesome vid
Is this amp putting out dirty power or is it the dyno? Because of the way the watts are counting up seems off
Sounds stream tpx18000 does more than that and it's smaller , I have one but the dyno said it does 7k+ almost the 8k rated power. I mean that little tpx18000 really throws some power , the only thing I don't like is their small power inputs and outputs , other than that that amp did really good with my zvx 12s before I upgraded my whole sound system , I recomend it if going with soundstream .
Great video but Where is the .5 ohm test?
EXACTLY what i was thinking as video ened. I watched entire video clip and .. Uhh Best part wasnt ..Met.. Figures! Assuming a few hundred watts more! Seemed to smoke n pop all 5 subs i had when 1st gotten that amp! JL and diamond audio punch so on.. Until i Stepped up and got american basshawks 3500 and finally! No issues except some grounding Noise only at low volume
Wanted to see .5 dynamic test
I'm rocking the older ta3k amps. Half ohm their whole lives. Have friends running them at .25 ohm. They do good power. They were Chinese knock off designs similar to the vfl 150.1 but did 120.1 power.
The 6000 series directly after the ta3k was similar. Not sure what epsilon has done to them at this point lol
Bro you got to get some adapters so you can run dual power and ground wires. 1 is not enough for 3k amps.
Why no 1/2 ohm dynamic? It’s half of what you talked about. 😂
Customers amp

@@Facekicker I understand box rise and impedance fluctuations and all those things. But half ohm dynamic it would’ve done fine. I do understand though if the customer didn’t want you to. Awesome video either way I just sat there for 14 minutes waiting on the half on dynamic test. LOL

@@Facekicker I have my amps wired to .25 per amp on my Hifonics amps and there 1ohms stable. So at .25 after box rise I'm probably seeing 1ohms continuous per amp. I have 2 amps strapped to half ohms so that is .25 ohms at rest with the system off.
@@RyanBassForLife that's well beyond manufacturer recommendations.

nice amp really wanting to buy one but im going with the surge audio pl 3000.1 can't beat a Korean board amp
You should start with the highest impedance and do all 3 tests, then go down one a time, easier to follow that way
I've streamlined my process in newer videos, thanks for watching!
That 3k number was at .5 and you was mad when you didnt get 3k. Look again at the rms numbers
I would like to mention that just because the customer was running it to woofers wired to .5 ohm, after rise the amp will never see .5 more like 1.5 if your lucky!

with it acting/climbing funny and being a customer amp I wouldnt bother with the 0.5 ohm test either. 0.5 ohm on the dyno is alot harder on the amp than on speakers.
RGB makes EVERYTHING louder
Will you test a plate amplifier it's called the pmpo 1000 d I'll send a link also a good FYI when I first purchased mine I wasn't aware that taking the 20 amp fuse out an putting a 40 amp in would increase the output by what seemed a considerable amount so just thought it'd be a cool test an torture cause honest I have this amp on 2 dvc 12s and it's loving every minute. Love to know the numbers this little guy is pumping out
Nice
what's up bro
I have the amplifier soundstream T1.6000DL
The amplifier works as they say about half a ohm
If I work 2 subs of 1 ohm
And their rms are more powerful than the rms of the amplifier
So the amplifier automatically dropped to half ohm ???
Or can I work with a half ohm subs??
Hey Man U mentioned building subs is your thing, not amps. I have 3 old school audiobahn baskets, only the basket nothing else....just collecting dust, I don’t want anything for them, just like to have a video of them after there rebuilt. Idk what I’m doing there and audiobahn is out of business so I can’t just order a refine kit, but if u could bring them back to life u can have them my guy
Much much appreciated, but our work load doesn't give me much time to frankenstein subs anymore unfortunately. Regarding subs however, we plan to do a spotlight on the different series of subs we build soon.
Whatever happened to that budget amp guy
Not bad thinking on getting this amp for 2 skar audio ddx 12's d4 wired to 1 ohm

Efficiency in the mid 60%'s isn't good at all for Class D.
That's pretty underwhelming for the size and price... I wanted one back when it came out because I loved the multi color illuminated logo it's overall looks and it's wattage claims and I just like soundstream but I was skeptical.at the time I ended up buying a Audiopipe apcle1800 which does just smide under 2k but does over 2k uncertified and it was just over $200. It has been solid no problems and they don't get the respect they deserve there shit on a lot.i have since replaced it with a cab45 and moveD the AP to my car. I paid $379 for the cab45 on presale and there $550 now which still decent dea,l but Patrick at robot bought an unbranded amp from China and is selling a 5k for $400 on presale order up on until Jan 2nd and it looks just like the cab on outside and he opened it up and it's identical inside. I wish I had it to to buy a 2nd. So I could power a 2nd custom 18 to match the one I just built from the t yoke up with an 18" sundown tooled frame.
2800wrms at 1ohm dynamic and draws 116A? Is that accurate?
That's impossible. It should be pulling around 260+ amps with a 2800 watt rms output.

FIRST (COMMENT) I LOVE BUDGET AMPS!! YES I EDIT MY COMMENT. I WAS IN A RUSH WHEN I WROTE IT TO MAKE SURE I WAS THE FIRST COMMENT. SOMETIMES I LIKE TO BE FIRST AT WRITTING A MESSAGE.
@Chuck Holmes 😁😁what I ment to say is I'm the first comment, I love watching budget amps get tested on the amp dyno. Of course I was rushing when I was writting this message so it read wrong. I might have to edit this message now that I read it again.
@Chuck Holmes I understand your right this amp never did rated and it never counted up properly. Only a few budget amp are any good hint my Hifonics amp BRX 2000.1Ds use better amp technology back in the day for being affordable. ITS A Soundqubed circuit board from 2014 back when hifonics actually had good circuit boards and clear sound quality. But yah DD and Rockford Fosgate amps are rock solid well nice talking to you Chuck Holmes.
@Chuck Holmes I know I don't like the new Hifonics amps. I really don't like the amps I'm using but until I get more money I'll have to just put up with them I might strap them back to 2ohms. The half ohms strapped .25 per amp is really bad on my voltage.
@Chuck Holmes Nice but I have my eyes on a Wolfram 5k bridged mono amp its very nice I hear and yes its brizilian!! Still your right I seen a guy have a Smart 3k on his channel and it hits hard. For now I'm just going to rock out with my antique hifonics amps✌😎
@@RyanBassForLife can't go wrong with a taramp brother! So over 3K at .8 ohms Surpasses it’s rated RMS
And why not do a .5 run? Why not be unbiased? why open up the back of the amp... if you don’t know what you’re looking at? Why not find another non-full bridge amplifier that does 3K for less than $300?I found your video annoying and unprofessional .Should probably leave the Dino going up to Wilson audio Because this was a Unabomber

Taramps MD5k or Smart Bass 3k would be my immediate choice

6000 is max dude... means 3000rms..
So when does it do max?
Also trust and believe you will get 3500 or more @ 0.5 ohms... you must have 2 runs for power
Does maxx at .05 half ohm! Times 2 - 3000 per channel.. But not recommended for long periods of playing at high volume 10 to 20 min topps less if bass notes are hard low hertz! Smoke your subs i had to toss out 5 brand named sets already! I learned finally to spend the extra $ and just Get 3500 watt subs if you can! And im finally happy blasting for long hours now
I know these budget amps I’m sure there’s better ones
.01Ohm
I do not own that amp nor I have anything to do with that brand. Still I have to say that this time measuremets taken were bad and misinterpreted.
How come, you might ask?
Well in certified especially and bit different but almost a same in the uncertified runs this dyno does not make clean running up to numbers when it sees clipping or to much clipping. You can see that in the runs that were worse, clipping led was on when it was not counting up, while current draw and actual power was still going up actually. So all these runs that have stuttered by counting up are invalid. Certified run should go to lower thd, but this dyno doesn't like certain designs and will not measure good unclean power nor completely stop the process. This happens a lot with cheaper executed half bridge amps. It also happens with full bridge amps when power supply voltage goes down but this is not that case.
Uncerified run should run to 1 percent thd but it stops runnung clean when it sees to much clipping to often even under 1 percent.
Dyno is really good but they have not accounted for this sort of issues so it stutters a little. With ckean built amos and goid power delivery this dyno is perfect.
Second thing I believe that happened is coming from the expectations. It realy did power rating and more when it have had clean runs like at 4 Ohm. Though due to the bad decision to include bougus max power rating one expexcts it to fail. Somehow one expects 6K at 0.5 Ohm and 3 at 1 Ohm. Though actual RMS ratings looks to be spot on. If it was running clean I see it hitting all RMS ratings and giving few percent more even.
Dynamic RMS mode is less sensitive on this dyno and is closer to what you can get by playing music.
What dyno do you use
@Facekicker I gave up. I do not build in car audio anymore. Not even for myself. Just the last few days got sentimental and took all gear from storage. Everything was standing there in packages like 15 to 20 years. All that's left over is one SQ setup with 11 channels that have never been built in. Car that it was meant for was lost in a car accident. The car was destroyed. I have lived. From that time, I was having company cars, and after it my own cars were nice enough to have decent stereo systems and were too nice to be cut and modified. Nice BMW's mostly. I am in way too many things, so some toys go others come in. BTW, check with Bigg Wizz D he will confirm how that D'Amore dyno works in these cases. He has seen the same things. But review your own video, and you will see it happening as well.
@Facekicker Even now, I would be able to make my own dyno just from the stuff I have at home. I would need to order more resistors, but I have tone and function generators and oscilloscope and a lot of different multimeters. Got quite a few power supplies. Currently, I would need battery and cap bank as well because I do n8t have such capacity at home. I do make a lot of different electronics from AMD stuff to vacuum tunes stuff. To measure guitar amp suff 150 Watt 8 Ohm resistor and the oscilloscope is all I need. Guitar amps I buld are most of the time low power. Mostly up to 40 Watt's. But 100 tube watts in good 4x12 cabinet or two would keep up with few KW PA rigg easy. They get very loud with not ygat much power.
