all these years later and people still don't get it. If you want to have a slightly better understanding of gain overlap you can follow this link here www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/207759-what-is-gain-overlap/?page=2 - i also posted a few images from my MECP study guide which talks about the same stuff facebook.com/SteveMeadeDesigns/posts/a-lot-of-people-have-asked-me-what-gain-overlap-is-and-why-we-use-it-read-this-e/10157421195868430/ - these writings pre-date the DD-1 by decades so that is why you will see the o-scope is being used. Done properly, the o-scope is way better than any DMM or "ear-o-meter". The DD-1 can see what the o-scope (especially your 40 dollar amazon handheld scope) can't see. The DD-1 is MADE for setting gains and it does it in spectacular fashion. But as far as overlaps, that (above) is a decent read. Once you understand that and have years of using an o-scope (using the PROPER PROCEDURE) you can truly appreciate the dd-1.
Hey steve, got a quick question on this amp dyno video. did you catch the amp efficiency for the 1 ohm load. curious on watts in to out on this amp. thanks man!
Hey Steve if you have two pride 12s would you do 1 ct sound amplifier or two?
Not bad! I also have a 2000.1D and a 4 channel at the shop. Might do those soon! Hit like if you want to see the results. Thanks for watching if you did! Oh also, i have a Tik Tok channel now. Sometimes i post little snippets of fun things. If you just so happen to feel like subbing, then please do so! thanks! www.tiktok.com/@meade916
I just got n to TIK TOK your my second person who i follow 🤟
hi steve question how would you go about using the dd1 if an epicenter is involved
Yo, that CT Sounds amplifier did a great job. Over 1000w more than rated at 1 ohm and it took a beating and was barely warm. I used to look forward to Amp Test Tuesdays every week, and barely any of the amplifiers did 1000w over rated, and survived the .8 ohm tests. Great video Steve!
With build purpose set aside how do you rank the Rockford Fosgate T2500-1bdcp to this amp or vice versa? I'm curious as a T2500-1bdcp owner.
Thanks
@@goldeneagle7559 that tired old 2500.1bdcp is a GREAT amp. I don't really care for RF anymore these days. But that amp is still one of my favorites.
Big D is smilin' somewhere out there right now, in internet land.
Because they ain't lieing to ya 🤣
@@justaaussie Dick-Riculous won’t have any problem with those RMS numbers on this one! 😂
I did the baby CT 400W monoblock a while back and it performed beyond it's specs as well. It's always nice to get more than you pay for!
I had the same amp but sent it back because they don't like the cold so I got the 700.1 and I love it killer little amp I have it on 2 vfl 8s
Very happy with my little ct400.1d big thx Big D for posting your review 🙏
Nice to see CT Sounds getting some love. Great stuff.
People be sleeping on CT Sounds but they make quality equipment and that amp is a testimony to that. It took Steve's abuse like a champ 🏆. Great amp dyno bro, ✌️.
Love my ct sounds amps they are the at series I’ve had them for 10+ years and they are still kickin today.
I smiled so much at you making the book. Ive got a dd-1 and cc-1 and my daily has the om1 and vm1. The volt meter is my favorite, couldnt imagine using anything else now. Gives me so much peace of mind with my equipment. 1000 Thanks for helping with the motivation and know how all these years. Legend status
Solid dyno. Thanks for sharing, Steve.
I got one of these, no issues so far.
Good shit as usual Steve
I run CT’s team 3000.1 on 4 ct meso 8’s. Very pleased with the performance. Cool to see CT on here
Thanks man for the vid been eyeballin these for my audiopipe bdc4 15s!
Wow!! I remember when apps cam out a a $1 a watt.😅😅 1,000w= $1'000
appreciate these videos very much my man thank you for the content
Good to see you back on. For some reason wasn't seeing the vids even though I'm subbed. Damn algo
What a beast of an amp man, great to see.
Do it bump doe
Yea it bumps fo sho
Yes more than bumps and I have just 1 12 inch Walmart power acoustic gothic hooked up and bass / sub knob on amp all the way down! And my receiver negative 4 shit Walmart sub put in work for real and not even wanted to try turn up
Ct sounds amp 3,200 best purchase for real $180.00 yesterday drove 90 miles for it
I happened to run across a CT sounds 15 in a pawn shop years ago, and have been hooked ever since. I have nothing but positive things to say about CT sounds. I run their amps in both my trucks, and all 3 of my kids have full CT sounds systems in their cars… Components, subs and amps !Currently on the CT sounds 2000.1 And I love it !!! ✊
Always love interior footage !!
Good stuff as always , Big Dawg 🤜🏻🤛🏽
Man you can't beat it for that price. 🙌💯🔊
I love the beginning and end of every video that really thumps
Very powerful and efficient amps from ct sounds. Enjoyed my 1k
Love my ctsounds stuff.. even their budget bio line is good when installed in a system that's tuned properly.
COLUMBIA SC IN HERE BROTHER SINCE THE HONDA CIVIC DAYZ AND YOU STILL BASSIN. GOTTA LOVEIT
Wow, that's really affordable. Thanks for the testing and the link
I’m running 2 1500 ct-1500 amps strapped together and they perform very well
I have the 400.1 D amp powering 2 6.5 Tropo subs @1 ohm and they get down with that tiny little amp! CT sounds is no joke. Love all their products!
still got my 1400.1 these amps are highly recommend power wise.... had mine for years never quit on me
Miss seeing these videos, love that power supply/bank
I've been out of the car audio scene for years, but I remember back when I was in it that we paid $1.50+ per watt...how times have changed. Wanna thank Steve for doing these tests.
You still do for some of the high end stuff. There are corners cut to get this kind of performance for these prices.
Damn I am super impressed with this amp.
Holy shit man, that’s more than impressive
Finally. Ct sound gets some shine back. The family is doing really well for the company. They always have had solid products. Coleman just did some mistakes. But we all are not perfect. We all make them
What are the mistakes he did?
Very nice CT performance. Nice guts. 😜 Nice budget amp. 👍
Nice looking amp. Reminds me of the DD. Audio amps a while back
I wish ct audio would sell complete bass packages with the subs amp enclosure and wiring all together. Cause I just want a good system for the daily grocery getter.
I own a Ct sounds At23000 and its a beast. Excellent power at 13.2 Volts with a killer bass knob.
This amp is awesome😈💪🏻💯
I miss amp test Tuesdays, dang that was too good almost hit 5000 watts
Good looking Amp for the price.
Very nice amp did great!!
Steve I've been waiting on this video. I got the CT 2000 mono block on a single mesos 8 in a prefab skar box and that shit is bangin. I wish I could run 4 mesos 8" under the seat of my Silverado without a rear seat lift. My only complaint on the CT sounds amp is that remote bass knob. The light is so damn bright its blinding lol.
Same lol.
I have the amp he tested
Get a black marker and color over the lil bulb 👍👍
Steve your bucket o bass video inspired me to do something similar with my OBS. I have three 12’s waking with SMD distro blocks.
This is one of the amps I was looking at as I have all CT sounds in my trailblazer. Thank you for testing this!
Steve the goat in my opinion
Facts boiii
I got two ct2000.1 powering my ragexl 15. Awesome amps for the price.
Was looking at the ct 2000.1 I have two scar shallow mounts and I swear they can take more. Not the whole 2000 at one ohm but more than the 1500 Brutus I'm giving them. The amp is getting hot and the speakers aren't sweating at all!
I am ordering me one right now. Hellz ya
Got a 1500 the other day been putting in good work for me wish it had fans but other thin that been great for 180 bucks
Ct sounds makes quality equipment. People need to quit trashing the dd1. Mostly people that cant buy one or dont even own a system. Steve has spent his life with this equipment making all of us have a better experience with our audio systems. Appreciate all you have done for car audio man👌👏👏👏🤟
I love my DD-1, been using it since 2016 and I am going to get the DD-1+ pretty soon so I can easily set my overlaps.
👍 keep it up man, hey Steve what are your thoughts on sealed boxes, have you ever thought about doing a sealed box setup?
Solid amp
Can't lie. That output and price is tempting.
Always liked CT ..Had a 4 Chanel i ran for four years. Ended up putting in a kids car for graduating
Good power, excellent dyno
Ct sounds putting out some wattage
@meade916 in your opinion between this CT sounds and the skar rp3500 which one would you say is a better amp the price is pretty close but I mean in terms of quality and power output??
Man ct sounds out there Killin it 👌 that's the budget line too!
Dam that is a pretty Awesome Amp.
I've been sitting with 1500 watts for about a year now and I need more 😂 I think this amp will be my next one.
I have the CT Sounds 1500.1 pushing a toro 12 and a audio legion 15 in my explorer and its amazing
I was always wondering if CT sounds were a good brand now I can see they are so far.
Thank you SMD.
you are welcome! thanks for the comment! :)
Nice. Have you ever tested those Taramps? I have been seeing them all over the internet and the look pretty decent.
I'm running two CTSounds amps and the mono block I'm running, the 1000 is very clean bass. I'm running it at 4 ohms on a 6.5 soundqubed sub. I had a skar and it may be me but the bass on the 1000 sounds cleaner.
I been telling people about CT Sounds is better than Skar.Ive had both plus many other brands.
Head to head.
CT Sounds 4 the win.
Numbers don't lie.🤨
Neither does the quality. I bought my wife a Strato 8, not even a Meso 8, it shits all over the ZVX-8 I had.
The Skar RP-3500.1D is pretty close in numbers. Probably based off of the same design as well although there are a few differences internally.
After watching this I think I’m going to go with them for my new build I’m starting. I know the 6.5s sound great in my lancer and they don’t get the power they need.
Im pretty impressed with mine so far.
This the guy with the ridiculous Tahoe?
I was looking a ct sounds today for my upcoming build I think I’m a get one
Some stout power coming from that lil guy!!
Do you test class D amps like the ADMARK AD42 or ADMARK K430?
Could you please make a video giving your opinion or comparison about full bridge and half bridge amps?
BRUTALITY!!!
Dim amp hit hard I got a 2000 watts ct on soundqubed hds3 15
Coleman would be fucking proud with how that amp performed right there
Excelente amigo 👍
Good gut shot!
I am pretty set on this amp myself, have been... but Could you test the Black Diamond Full Range Class D 2000 Watt DIA-K4 AMP... I would loke to see how it performs!!! As this is another amp I had in Mind
What would you run with 4 8” meso if you had a new CT-1400.1 or Rockford old t.5001?
When are we gonna see the AMM-1 back in stock Steve?
I have to get one of the distortion detectors.
I have the 2000.1 of this series and it’s beating the snot out of my alpine type r 10s
What model is the stereo you use????
Is there a video that shows how it’s all powered from a household power supply compared to a 12vdc?
Nice ! Looks beefy not bad results too A
That's a good 1.
😎👍👍
Wonder how good 3 of these would be on my 3 zvx 15”s ?
Amp test Tuesday a little early this week lol
I remember when you would spend $1 per watt, glad the world changed 😆 🤣 😂
I LOVE AMP TEST>>>>MONDAY????
LOL! I don't care!
I need to get a DD-1.....thanks for everything sir.
What is that song that's playing at the beginning of the video. I can't seem to find it. Sounds cool.
Starts at 17 sec.
I think the CT line is more durable than all their other lines, at much less cost.
Bossman 🔊🔊🔊🔊💪🏾
Just got a DD-1+ after blowing a sub. I really like it. My gains were way off! My system sounds better and is more efficient. Now after a day of playing my amps are just warm, before they would be scolding hot.
Why didn't you just turn the volume down a click or two??
@@bailey2517Because it would still be clipping. Clipping has nothing to do with the volume and the gain knob is not a volume knob.
@@dayjeremy I know, but if you turn the volume down enough it will stop clipping. I was just saying there's no need to adjust the gains if he can just turn downt he head unit. Unless he wants to gain match, which I'm doubting he knows how to do..
Blessings...
I miss watching your video man
He doesn’t care lol
Impressive.
Is the closer grouping of numbers between the cert/uncert/dynamic a good sign? It seems to me it would be.
seems like a good thing. Especially the cert/uncert....
@@meade916 Can you explain why it's a good thing? BEcause i'm wondering the same thing. I had a ct sounds amp and it clipped at the same point no matter how peaky it was it would always clip at the same exact point, meanwhile skar amps for example, they can take a lot more power for a short burst without clipping but idk if thats actually a good thing(?). It seems like that might mean the skar amps are lower quality. But i'm not sure, what are your thoughts?
