Hi, love your videos, as a UK Expat in NZ I love to see the
English countryside, one of the few things about living abroad.
This is for Roy.
I have greatly enjoyed you segments on this channel, but as a
70 years young hunter, I was disapointed that you did not cull
that lame deer! No animal should be left in pain or discomfort
when the oportunity to be humain is there!
Re your rifle, great choice, but I'm bias.
I have Tikka T3X Aspire in 243Win, which I think is far better
than the standard T3X. Mine has been upgraded, it has flush
mounted sling mounts, a metal trigger guard so it can be torqued
up more, a short picatinny rail on the forend for a QD BiPod.
Plus a Sako set trigger. This allows me to shoot comfortably to
400Yds, but I do have to be very carefull of the wind, if too windy
I will leave the shot. Home loads 90grn Hornady ELD-X at 3050FPS.
Sadly mine has 1in10 twist because the newer ones are 1in8 twist
which can go subsonic, but never mine, more than happy with my Tikka's.
As I also have a 16" T1X in 22Lr, same set up, but with a Timmny two stage.

seriously i have always maintained that hunters (of all forms) are an ethnic group that have their own set of ethics and lifestyle and as such should not be discriminated to or refused their lifestyle by those that have chosen a different path.
Started shooting at 10 35 years ago, it's part of who I am as much as any other cultural part of my life.
