If you thought this game was mostly easy to this point, you'd be right. That said, if you think getting through this final stage will be a breeze, you've got another thing coming as this is the first time in the franchise to this point where the final stage is clearly the hardest.
Yes, this place is a deathtrap from the moment after you hit that first item block, and I think that's what will throw off most players when they first attempt this stage. Whether it's the statues at the start, the hand traps in the middle, or the many platform types throughout, this stage does not mess around. It wants you gone, and there's a good chance it will get its wish at some point. This level honestly feels like its own take on Super Mario World's final castle. Unlike in that one, however, you don't get to pick a path. Instead, you must clear all the rooms in one go to have a shot at the three-stage final boss in Wario.
W himself ain't exactly the easiest customer in the game, but I'm not going to call him hard unless you get caught flatfooted in the early portions of the battle. For the final part, remember to use that Up+Jump combo to give yourself more height, and voila. Spell broken, Mario Land saved, now let's never bring up this place again. Wait, what? Hey, don't blame me! Mario's home gets a lot more quaint in the years ahead.
Since I didn't talk about it in the long outro I put at the end, let me say now that I think Bunny Mario is one of the more interesting power-ups in the 2D games. Hovering makes for good potential secret exits and goodies to find over simply flying to them like you do in SMB3 or World. Guess I just like my platforming more. Those ones are better, but don't sleep on SML2. It was a dang great game for its time and still a very good one to this day.
And finally... Space, Mario, Tree, Turtle, Macro, and Pumpkin are Bean's absolutely unessential zone rankings from best to not as best. That's my take anyway, and I wouldn't mind reading yours in the comments. For now, that's it. Peace!

True, but necessary to facilitate the Mega Man-like non-linearity. It was a pretty neat game design experiment.
@@stephencheney9811i honestly wished more mario games went with a non linear route cause even games like mario 64 and galaxy require that you play some levels in a certain order (I guess not bowsers fury though)
mario land 2 is a hilarious game because it holds your hand throughout most of the game until you get to warios castle and then all of a sudden the game decides it wants to be a jerk
bruh, figuring this shit out as a kid was infuriating, but it was so rewarding to finally beat Wario
This level was a fantastic way to demonstrate Wario's character through game design. The massive difficulty spike shows that, while Bowser may have been a more honorable foe, Wario is sadistic and very willing to use dirty tactics in order to get his way. The fist traps are the best example. There's no way to know about them the first time, which shows that Wario isn't interested in playing fair. He wants his intruders dead no matter what.
What a final stage. I like the music that plays here, and it certainly looks to be quite difficult. Although it doesn't appear to be all that tough, I love that battle with Wario simply for the novelty of him using Mario's power-ups against him. Hard to believe it would take Bowser nearly 20 years to get the idea himself.

This is one of the hardest levels of Mario in the Game Boy era. This guy is just very good

My first thoughts:
This is by far one of the most cheap, brutal, sadistic and torturous levels I have ever played, and it will probably take me my whole before I beat it, if I ever actually do. Ive already lost 50 lives, and the furthest I can get is the second lot of floating faces if I'm lucky. Every time I die it is just to something cheap. This level is a nightmare!
But then an hour later I beat it on my second time getting to Wario, and it was awesome!
I remember that the final level was a nightmare when I first played this awhile back, most of the game is easy as hell, then the final level just hits you with insane difficulty. I honestly loved the high difficulty, made me sweat, pushed my skills to the test, great level.
I've lost many lives in that final level but I never have died to Wario, his battle is very easy, it's probably because his sprite is so big. I do love the final stage music, It's very epic! So I really enjoyed this series and I look forward to the next Mario game you play here on CZcams.
This level a pain, but worth it for the ending. Love the video, and this game. I played it, the first one, and even SML 3: Warioland on my twin brother’s Game Boy. Subscribed.
Ah the memories of this final stage come flooding back I had SO much trouble with this level as a kid also your killing me with those three games I can't choose which one I like better XD I'm excited for all three Yoshi's Island is probably my favorite 2D Mario game of all time Wario Land 1 is my favorite of the Wario series and Mario World is just too good NOT to love I just can't choose ^ ^ I'll be glad to see whatever you decide to go with of course
After 20 years i finally had beaten thid level. I felt like the f'n man after i did, lol. It was hard

I remember as kid playing this game and getting all 6 golden coins. But I could never get to Wario because his castle was difficult to beat .. But I replayed this game I beat it a few years ago. It was pretty awesome!
Those one block jumping was so annoying... And I like how speedrun control the enemy kill counter to exactly 99 before this stage in order to get a star right after the first floating face was defeated.

The spin jump tip on those face things is exactly what I needed. I had success with Rabbit Wario by running fast enough under him to prevent his stomping. He gradually lost altitude making him easier to jump on.
And I don't know why I never thought to jump over those floor blocks that trigger the Wario fists. I did figure out though that you can get thru the first two just by sprinting.

What happens if you get the W in Mario's Castle?
This is the only hard level in the game. And it's the last one. It's very easy to die to a glitch on the skull and fish platforms. Not to mention that one jump in the moving platforms part.

How do I get passed the Genkottsu Fist Traps in the Wario Castle (Final Level) in this old "Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins" (1992) Nintendo Game Boy Advance SP Handheld Console Video Game, Bean1227? :)

Funny you should say that because I have one of those I'm planning on doing next to take a break from all the Nintendo stuff. That said, it's a fan game, so I'll be talking over it like I did others in the past. I'll eventually do another official one with text boxes again.

How did U record this?
I used Camtasia's built-in recording feature for this series since that was the easiest way to do it. Nowadays, it'd be a capture card with OBS (Open Broadcaster Software).
That I finished that as Child with under 10 Year's of Age.

I really hate that there's no checkpoints. The whole game is very easy then this last level feels like a massive troll.
Oh, that one was an intentional mistake since I don't think I had actually powered down in the whole playthrough. Wanted to show that off and have a slightly harder final round with Wario.
