Asalamwalaykum brother i am a black male and was curious as to if males are allowed to have there hair plaited? And are we allowed to pray in them? My parents aren’t to sure about wherever my hair is allowed to be plaited or not it wud mean alot if you could help me out
As far as I'm aware a male has to let their hair be loose when they pray. That means no knots. I also have longer hair and putting my hair in knots is something i love doing a lot lol. But when it comes time for salah i undo it each time. I see it as a more manly thing too to keep my hair flowing as much as possible, even if it's under a hat and unseen. I feel like it's less manly to be remembered as the guy with tied up hair. And Allaah knows best
