- Anyone who knows will know how partial I am to a late-night shopping spree, particularly at Zara. So when these parcels arrived at my door, I knew I had to show you what I’d bought and ask for your opinions. There’s a bit of everything here, from neutral basics to festive party sequins, but how will they work within my existing wardrobe? If it doesn’t work with what I already have, it has to go - but that doesn’t mean you can’t take these pieces as inspiration for your next shopping trip…

Is it me.. or has Zara lost a bit of its imagination in the last few years ? It’s harder for me to find things I love, where 4 years ago, I’d buy a lot at the end of every season.

I was in London last month and was looking forward to shopping in Zara. We have Zara here in Australia but it’s very limited. I didn’t buy a thing in Zara. It was a sea of black and synthetic fibres which were way overpriced imo

I came in into a brand new store in Canada 2 weeks ago and said to myself.. why it all black? and you are totally right, the quality is noticeably lower, coats 100% poly, shoes in leather are now only the exception, sweaters in acrylic which you wonder how long before they pill .. sad.. I miss the way things used to be and I’m no longer asking for a Zara gift card for Xmas.. but I still hold hope that maybe they’ll wake up to color, quality and that adventurous design that has always been Zara.

Definitely keep the neutral knit vest and oatmeal coat. They look gorgeous together, especially with the neon jumper. I wish these items were available in Australia (even though it's just coming into summer). I much prefer winter clothes. You look fab in everything Trinny and I love the Zara shop ups, it's one of my favourite shops and as you've said, it's accessible (in location and price) to a wide range of your viewers.

I’ve learned that if I have to work hard to justify keeping a garment in my wardrobe, it’s not meant for me. I return it, or it will end up in the charity bag.
Agreed! If you have to “make it work”, it’s not a good choice. We’ve all made that mistake once or twice.

I think you wear the oatmeal coat beautifully, definitely keep! The black zara boot makes your ankle very slim and sexy. I also like the last silver jacket, has some versatility with the black/navy sequins too, look fabulous with navy and a flash of neon. Xx

😊 Yes, that black sequin dress is stunning〰️esp. on her tall, thin figure. Must say, those 🧟♀️Frankenstein chunky boots paired w/it boots are starting to grow on me. Liking the funky informality mixed w/ something that screams formal party dress.
🤔Trinny can pull off almost anything, but I think the oatmeal coat & sludgy brown vest⚡️zap her natural vibrancy. Not a big fan of creams, camels, tans, khaki beiges & taupes in general on myself based on how matronly & invisible👵 they've always made me feel no matter my age. These muddy mottled versions are even worse in my estimation. Dirty tones diminish her spirit & help her blend perfectly in the background. Great if she wishes to fly under the radar.

One of the BEST zara shop up Trinny! you are a genuis when it comes to styling!! I love that military green suit on you despite the sleeves being short. You MUST keep it. It suits you a lot!! no pun intended. :)
🤔Comfort is certainly key. No one wants to feel tightness across shoulders or awkwardness w/sleeves or improper waist tailoring.
Still, 👁👁visually I 💯% thought she rocked that slim velvety green suit w/the square toed boots. It truly elongated her already beautiful frame from infinity to beyond🚀.
🤣With my exaggerated "X" proportions, I try hard not to be envious of her amazing SuperModel column "II" form. Clothes always hang so extraordinarily on her stunningly slim, straight silhouette.

The black sequin dress is an all time classic. Keep. The acid wash Jog Pant is an everyday cool & comfortable piece. Keep. The cargo trousers might be a one off/ too stiff . Not sure 🤔 All the olive and sage green pieces: Noooo. Very nice shop up Trinny. It's a yes from me !

I like the firsr blue vest on a long-sleeved top. Had such outfit as a student, just masculine version. It looked nice and difference in texture (knit against cotton) gave an interesting look. Really lovely combinations. Interesting how you add a colour pop here and there.

Agreed with what you thought you'd send back - and the reasons... except for the oatmeal coat. I thought that looked fab with no lapel, the fringing and what looked like a great cut and nice movement. Hope you manage to find some other ways to style it by the end of the day!

Yes to the cargo trousers. I like them. What a shame the green velvet trouser suit was cut too short for Trinny. I loved the colour, especially with the turquoise. Also loved the sequinned skirt. I’ve never tried one and I’m quite tempted.
