Most of them are just copy/paste guys. A lot of them are dudes who see rumors, then post em. If they ended up being right, it validates their page. The average internet user doesn't fact check, doesn't google search, doesn't go see what legit reporters are saying. It helps that the checkmark tricks old ppl into thinking its a legit, reputable sport insider or reporter.

mina kimes point is that he copied off of somebody else who just copies actual insiders. i don't see the point of following these aggregators when you can follow the actual insiders, especially considering the fact that these aggregators regularly tweet BS that shouldn't even be considered news. it's all done to generate as many engagements possible at the expense of decent journalism and accurate news breaking.

The NFL is kinda fucked up now a days. It's not like it used to be. I guess the closest to old school football I can think of, would be Green Bay.
Now Ty, hear me out... Drafting Love in the first round a few years ago, definitely led to the whole Aaron to NYJ situation. I mean, it didn't help, the way Green Bay handled everything with him this off-season. But Love had a few years to learn, watch and soak in what Rodgers does/did. The way Rodgers learned from Bret. Love actually had "old school" time to develop. To learn systems, what's expected, to see how things go on on the inside/ the day to day and one of the greatest to ever play, in Aaron Rodgers. He had his time to learn, adjust, develop. Now its his time to show if he was worth the wedge, that was driven into the relationship between Rodgers and the Packers.
CJ Shroud and ALOT of these newer guys, are thrown into a sink or swim situation. No time to learn, adjust, develop. Everything is placed on your shoulders RIGHT NOW. However, if you DONT succeed right away... And you don't have coaches, owners, teammates and the media don't come RIGHT OUT and say, THATS still OUR guy. Within a 17 game season, they're considered a bust. And that's assuming they stayed healthy or they weren't pulled or benched for any reason. I mean, Christ... People are already talking about Shroud not being a starter type. He had what? A drive? A quarter? I didn't see the game, so I legit don't know. In a whole new Bigger and Stronger league. Whole new team, system, building, coaches. And we're talking about preseason, a glorified scrimmage. Not to mention, Houston isn't exactly the franchise you think of, when you think of... Literally ANY type of success. They had a few good years and somehow sneak into the playoffs, from time to time. But the defense screams mediocre. The offense is terrible. That O Line, is historically awful. Look how many times David Carr was sacked. Look how many interceptions he threw, because he was always under pressure and tried forcing something. He probably would've had a more memorable career if he had SOME type of protection. And whats crazy is, he was one of the first QBs to throw for 4000 yards in a season. If memory serves, i believe it was him and Brady.. Maybe him and Manning(Peyton, of course). Maybe all 3 of them got it, i do t know.
Pat Mahomes is so successful because he landed in the perfect spot for his skill set. He learned from Alex Smith, who would've been great. He started showing it, but got hurt. Andy Reid knows how to utilize people based off they're skill set and he's a mastermind when it comes to offense. And KC was a stacked team. So Pat was set up for success, from the start.
CJ Shroud on the other hand.... Has none of that. He doesn't have someone who will allow him utilize his skill set. They won't build the/a team around him. And he's just gona be another guy, who SHOULD be A GUY, who was put in the wrong system, had the wrong guys around him(coaches, lack of a decent team, ect), had no protection. And was asked to be the savior of a lackluster team, franchise and city.
I hope I'm wrong. I've always liked CJ. He really could be A GUY. But if so, Houston need to invest in HIM. Bring him in on everything. Hear him out, as to who he feels he could build chemistry with. Get him coaches that fits his style of play. And get the guy some God Damn protection. If all thar fails, then he IS A BUM. But at least you'll have a team built, a solid system, coaches that you know will succeed and all you gota do is slot in a decent QB.
So, let's give the kid more than a series. More than a quarter, before we're hoisting him up in the Field of Crucified QBs. Or at the very least, let's take his entire situation into consideration, before we banish him to the island of irrelevancy
