As someone that has been in the auto paint sales business for over 30 years. This old man is authentic as the day is long. It's all in the lingo. Well done video.
THESE are the stories that make the Elvis story great! Kudos Spa Guy for always going the extra distance to get the stories!
Another example of how you continue to CRUSH IT!!!!.
God bless you for funding this out of your own pocket.
Thanks Billy.
First, as a fellow Southerner, I'm always pleased that you treat these folks with great respect and give them the time to tell their stories. Second, as an Elvis fan, I knew about the original Caddy that burnt up in Arkansas and the one he bought for his mother. However, I never gave a thought to who painted it, mixed the paint, etc. Top-notch work!
Wow unbelievable how you find the truth in everything about Elvis Presley life’s , family, and friends !! Love yaaaa spaguy blessings
Another gem of a story by you sir. You would have made an amazing investigator or investigation reporter. Your channel should be exponentially larger than it is. Keep up the great work man. 🤙🇺🇸
Love these videos so full of facts for us Fans iam in the UK and watch every day Thank you Spa Guy x
Good video Billy. I loved it. Nice man. Hallelujah! Some people complain about so many books about Elvis, but if they all had not taken the time to write them we wouldn’t know the wonderful things we have learned about Elvis.
Spa guy!!! ,Sir you do an awesome job of bringing a lil bit of Elvis history alive with each video you do.!! From one Elvis fan to another thanks mate👍🏽 I for one truly appreciate all your hard research work it takes to give us some insight to the man we call the “KING” of rock & roll..!!!!!🇦🇺
Thank you Spa Guy for sharing another piece of Elvis History! Very Interesting and factual as always. I am a big Elvis Fan and always will be. You are very knowledgeable and you always treat people with respect

Thank you for sharing this God bless you always stay safe sending prayers blessings love and hugs always to you and your family
Outstanding. LOVE your Elvis car stories. Nothing like history direct from the horse's mouth. Nicely done, my friend...
So interesting Spa Guy. It is so good when you can actually hear someone tell the story. Glad that Lowell remembered who painted the car. Even better that you located Sam's grave that painted the Cadillac pink for Elvis. Thank You Billy.
This is a deep-dive, I'm loving these video's!
Great work Spa Guy! See you in August.
Another great job spa guy
Incredible research brother! Well done! Thank you for another puzzle piece in the gigantic puzzle that is the life of Elvis!!!
Great Job Billy !! 🌿
Excellent research Spa Guy! I had read that Elvis had 3 Cadillacs; one for each member of his household. That's probably why his mother owned one that she never drove.
Thank you again I love all of these side stories we never heard of 👍🏻
Interesting historical about the first pink Cadillac of Elvis!
Man I love this kinda History Thanks Billy

Thank you Spa Guy for this history. I had a 1954 baby blue convertible Cadillac in 1966. Wish I had it today. Elvis loved pinks and colors. ❤️

That was so good to see where it was in relation to Sun studios, I’ve been lucky enough to go there. Also really good to see the footage of the father and sons final resting place. So so informative. Thanks 🙏.

Great story elvis First Cadillac how got Paint better look cool see that cool story on that billy keep up cool video my friend
Guys like him were the Greatest Generation. They built this country. I lived in Memphis for 30 years and always heard of Southern Motors, never knew it was Madison Cadillac.
Rumor has it that the this first burned pink Cadillac is still in existence.I’ve read numerous posts on the Elvis Reddit that it was left on the side of the road for years then a guys field
I have searched for that In Fulton and Texarkana and have not found any evidence of it..
Darn. It might still be out there who knows. Great video@@SpaGuy
Very interesting Spa Guy I guess I figured you could get any cor you wanted when they started painting cars colors...
Great hit the 👍
Thank you for such a wonderful story, Billy & thank you for your hard work & dedication. You are the one & only Elvis historian. Blessings ⚡️⚡️⚡️
Spa guy i like all your videos and u are aswome

That’s a nice car 😀
I shopped in that gift shop while waiting for my Sun Studio tour to start!
Loved This....Another living link to the E World! Fantastic!!! TCB...Hey Billy, Do we Know if the Remains of the 1st Pink Cadillac still exist in a junkyard somewhere? You're the BEST My Brother!
Always something new and never seen before, Excellent. Wonder where that burned Cadillac went.
I searched for it.. it appears that it was crushed and scrapped.. At the time this happened he was not realy famous yet so they would not have known to keep it..
A true Elvis historian
Very cool, the history of the iconic pink caddy…..thanks Billy, you always do a fantastic job with finding and telling us behind the scenes of Elvis’s life …love it ❤️
Great interview. The long line of people whose life was touched by Elvis seems to never end.
Billy l Love the pink , it’s a beautiful pink color , my favorite color at this time of my life is aqua ‘greenish blue ! Thank You Spa Guy, lam sorry l didn’t get the gentleman’s name , but he seems very nice thank you sir , you will go down in History for inventing the Pink Color of the Elvis’s Cadillac ‘it’s a beautiful pink. Thank you both it was very interesting God Bless You 💁♀️💙🙏❤️👍🕺
I absolutely love your Elvis videos, and a fan!! I admire your dedication and fact finding, awesome! Thank you Brutha and be Blessed!!!
Spay guy u are aswome
That was great detective work Spa Guy ❤ That was interesting. Back then they had great cars. Pink was a colour that Elvis really liked. He wore it also often especially when he was younger. Are people actually cremated in the United States? Here in the Netherlands people rent a grave and after 10 or 20 years if the family no longer pays, then the grave is cleared.
There is creamation here but it is not common at least in my circles..
The same in Paris for the rent or you can buy it for eternity! 💖🕺💖🇫🇷💙🇺🇦
Cremation is common in western US. There is something new now- hydro cremation. It’s not yet common.
@@dktk540 I read that almost everyone in America is embalmed before burial, many chemicals are used for that. In Europe, embalming is almost not done, only for example to the royal family.
Another great video Spa Guy thank you for sharing this with us❤️🇱🇷
This is true fun Elvis history. Loved it. Thank you once again for this
So, Spa Guy, that means that the color of the cadillac in the movie '''Elvis''' is the wrong color...Why do they insist of saying that Elvis first car was not the pink color but that kind of purple color...We all know how Elvis was extravagant in his clothes and cars, he wouldn t never go for that purple color...he loved pink...Thank you Spa Guy, for .telling the truth...YOU ARE THE BEST.
The one in the movie is Gladys' car and I will show you in the video about that exactly the color of her car..
Obrigada por traduzir. Thanks!😍❤
Amazing! Another very nice history! Thanks for that.
Another great piece of the Elvis puzzle Mr. Spa Guy. Thank you. God's speed to you and yours.
Very well edited and put together story!!!!!
Cool story, and Billy your detective work never ceases to amaze me.
Interesting🇨🇦♥️👍
As always Bill your videos always entertain us and give us great details on the world of Elvis. Thanks you 🙏
Who else would go through all this work? You are awesome, Spa Guy!
Very interesting, awesome research Mr. Spa Guy!
Never thought about where the paint came from. Fascinating
Great history Billy.
Spa guy that was a very interesting story on the first pink Cadillac I knew that he had you know Elvis had some balls to drive a pink Cadillac mostly thinking of his mother but Elvis always loved bright different colors stood out Great job you’re a fan TCB 👍
I half expected him to say “I have the formula I used right here.”
The one and only "Elvis Car" that i'm really crazy about, is the superb dark blue shining 1956 Cadillac Eldorado. History says, Elvis smashes a handful of blue grapes on the car and meant this is the color i'd like...Do you have a few more Information on this happening?! Thanx in advance pal👌
I am working on that one.. Jimmy Sanders painted that car and also Gladys'.. I am working on that one..
@@SpaGuy THANK YOU pal...you're the Best👍!
Greetings from Vienna, Austria 🇦🇹
@@SpaGuy Billy I'm thinking Mary Kay when u got pink vehicles Wonder if she gave Elvis the idea Cuz nobody wanted to drive a pink vehicle as that was considered "gay". Lol ! Even if it was free. I dunno if ppl would've been comfortable actually using it as an every day driver! And everyone n their brother would b invading Elvis's privacy wouldn't they? Specially once it got out that where the car was would b where Elvis was !
Another awesome video. So unheard of in these days (daze) to include or even mention the "unimportant peons" who were involved in something dealing with a celebrity or famous person. These people were important in their own way. Maybe they didn't have the most speaking parts in this play called "The Life of Elvis" but they were just as important. Nice to show respect to them. The Butterfly Effect as concerned to a pink Cadillac. No Sam, with his extensive knowledge of painting, and no Lowell to come up with the right mix of pink paint - means no pink Cadillac. A dream of Elvis' fulfilled. Who knows what else might have changed had Elvis not gotten his pink Cadillac. No gift for Momma either. Every little things adds up to a big thing. Thanx for posting this, Billy. I do remember an older video where you went to Madison Cadillac before and after the demolition. Cool to see it in this correlation to the painting of the first car. Look forward to the next one, my friend. Take care.
Really cool 😎 stuff !
make a video of the boutique from the 1970's where elvis presley bought clothes for himself and priscilla presley (Suzy Cream Cheese, 1970s) Boutique in Las Vegas
Man I was just wondering when you were going to come through with pink Cadillac stories can't wait for the sequel excellent job sir
Amei.
Amo conhecer detalhes das histórias do nosso querido King.
Obrigada Billy.
This 1954 Cadillac Fleetwood has such an interesting story. Most people still say that this 54 was pink when Elvis bought it, but it wasn't ofcourse. Thanks for setting the records straight Spa Guy. Mr Patterson said the the color of the car before the paint job was charcoal, which would probably be the Cadillac color Gander Gray or Norman Gray. I'll update my youtube video about Elvis' 1954 Cadillac eventually. Looking forward to your video about the color of the pink 1955 Fleetwood. Thanks again for an interesting video.
Gidday Billy thanks again for that very interesting segment. You've done so much research into all your work. Fascinating stuff. I just love the pink Cadillac. I know that Greg Page has the gold one in the museum out at Parkes. Thanks again and stay safe 💕 Christina Halpin
Great story! I was just wondering in the past week how the pink in that Cadillac originally came about. Especially as it's been mentioned many times in the upcoming movie ELVIS. Thanks for the fantastic video! TCB ⚡
The in the movie is the second Cadillac and I will reveal the exact paint and the color used..
@@SpaGuy Beautiful! Thank you
Also do a video on how it sat under a carport until 1977
@@edjames327 This is not the second Pink Cadillac in this story and it actually sat under the carport until 1989 when the first car museum was built across the street..
Wow 👏 BILLY YOU'RE THE TER.INATOR ELVIS DETECTIVE. YOU DON'T QUIET TILL THE PUZZLE IS DONE. ANOTHER GREAT COMMENTARY 👍
Spa Guy.. A question for you..You are officially my Elvis expert.and yet, I don t know if it s your field of expertise but Ill take a chance..anyway. I saw many, many , pictures of The King, walking, riding horses, and motocycles, bicycling, ,dancing, playing all kind of sports,,entertaining ,rehearsing ,, and I never , never saw Elvis wearing JEANS, except in some of his movies, but then again, not to many......He was always wearing normal pants.I don t think Elvis was a Jean s man... If you have a picture of Elvis in jeans, I would love to see it.. In his early years, in 1955, 56, 57 etc.. ,unlike James Dean and all the youngsters, every body wore jeans in those days.., NOT Elvis....So young, and already so different from all the rest...The G.O.A.T...
It has always been said Elvis never wore Jeans in public.. Seems like I have seen a picture of that but like you said you really don't see that..
Very nice digging on this EP history nugget SG. Have to say, when i got my drivers license same day I was washing cars in a Cadillac dealer, their building looked identical to this dealership. The old school basement to park new cars as well as an 2nd floor ro main floor to park new cars upstairs. Those old building has everything built in with the mosaic tiles vibe around the service desk,,circular show windows, very cool. Also,,(not positive) ,but Southern Motors is where Marshall Grant worked as a line wrench, ,,along with Roy Johnny Cash's brother & Luther Perkins, worked,,that eventually started playing,,when Johnny got out of the Army. to form Johnny Cash and the Tennessee Two. Southern Motors sounds right not sure though. Thanks again.
Barry The Tennessee and Johnny's brother actually worked at the dealership to the right of this building.. I have filmed that just not put it out yet..
any vids about elvis' cars would be great to see. keep em coming.
GOOD JOB! ΚΑΝΕΙΣ ΚΑΛΗ ΔΟΥΛΕΙΑ BILL
Maybe Jr. painted the car? He would have been over 40 years old which could of seemed like an older man to a young Lowell.
Jr. didn't work at the dealership and he said old man 40 in my opinion would not have been old even to a 20 year old.. I conversed with Lowell with that exact question after I found the graves he stated it was Sr..
What was the date that the first Cadillac was painted
Early 1955 no exact date it burned in June so it was painted before that..
Spa gut one of my 2 adopted kittens a sweet little yellow and white kitten with blue eyes died this morning dont know what happened she was still getting milk from the mama i basicaly been feeding and watering the mom so shes good to have milk for the kittens r.i.p. little darlin i named the kitten darlin thanks spa guy
So sorry for your loss!!
@@SpaGuy thanks hey you ever watched video of guy named charles stone he worked for elvis and colonel parker for few years helping with tours
How much you think that gallon paint can would be worth I they would have had Elvis sign it?
One Bazillion Dollars!!
Thank You Spa Guy,
Again !!
very interesting storie about Elvis’s pink Cadillac.
What makes your stories so interesting is , the People you interview in your videos that were in Elvis life in different occasions is they
Go in such a depth and details to bring alive their memories of their experience they had with Elvis
so us fans can enjoy.
Of course we have you to thank for !
making us Fans of Elvis knowledgeable and fulfilling the curiosity ,passion ,questions and facts
that we like to know of Elvis’s life .
Look forward to the next video.
Thank You!
Couple, Elvis Fans
Off topic, but I find your hot tub removal videos very interesting. Could be a tv show. Did you ever encounter any problems with customers or hot tubs that you just couldn’t get?
No I was lucky.. I did lose some tubs that were gone but I never encountered more trouble than you saw in these videos..
This pink Cadillac was the only Cadillac that Elvis owned when he crossed over
This pink Cadillac burned in 1955 so he did not own it in 1977.. Did you watch the video??
I am referring to the Cadillac that Elvis gave his mother. That pink Cadillac was the only Cadillac Elvis owned when he crossed over.
Jimmy's world just paid 250k for elvis Presley airplane but not sure what his plans are so check it out if you haven't yet on CZcams
Yep wasn't ever Elvis' jet.. At least he never saw or flew on it.. It was being used to scam Elvis..
Oh wow that's crazy I wonder if Jimmy knows that it's even more bad news lol thanks for the info have a great night
Great video, but please the sound is terrible, can hardly hear the man.
You need better speaker I can her him perfectly.. You know I can just stop making videos for you people who these are not good enough for..
I wear hearing aids with bluetooth capability, and I can hear the gentleman perfectly from my cellphone. Great video! What did you place on the headstone? A coin, if so, what's the story about that?
I’m not having any difficulty. I listen with earbuds.
@@SpaGuy wow, your feathers ruffle easy these days.
@@bobbyboling629 You try constantly being attacked by Turds and see how you react.. I simply make videos if people don't like what i do just move on i don't need the negativity.. You know I am not obligated to make these right??
When i first went to Graceland back in 1985 .The pink Caddilac was under the car port. In back yard .it was all faded an old looking .later on it was repainted .
Yes I saw it back there too in 1988..
@@SpaGuy there were actually two there Elvis's in backyard .an i saw another one outside a shop across the street from Graceland.. I saw a bus too that was Elvis's.
@@robertstdon9280 The one across the street was not a Cadillac he ever owned it was for pictures to be made in front of.. It was at the Car museum and painted pink then moved to the Pavilion on the other side of the planes for a while and was a blue green color there..
@@SpaGuy Thanks yes i figured he didn't own that one .
What colour shade of pink did they call the car.
There was no name for the color of this car.. There are stories about the name for the color of Gladys' but there is an actual color for her car thus the name is made up..
