    First, as a fellow Southerner, I'm always pleased that you treat these folks with great respect and give them the time to tell their stories. Second, as an Elvis fan, I knew about the original Caddy that burnt up in Arkansas and the one he bought for his mother. However, I never gave a thought to who painted it, mixed the paint, etc. Top-notch work!

    Another awesome video. So unheard of in these days (daze) to include or even mention the "unimportant peons" who were involved in something dealing with a celebrity or famous person. These people were important in their own way. Maybe they didn't have the most speaking parts in this play called "The Life of Elvis" but they were just as important. Nice to show respect to them. The Butterfly Effect as concerned to a pink Cadillac. No Sam, with his extensive knowledge of painting, and no Lowell to come up with the right mix of pink paint - means no pink Cadillac. A dream of Elvis' fulfilled. Who knows what else might have changed had Elvis not gotten his pink Cadillac. No gift for Momma either. Every little things adds up to a big thing. Thanx for posting this, Billy. I do remember an older video where you went to Madison Cadillac before and after the demolition. Cool to see it in this correlation to the painting of the first car. I saw many, many , pictures of The King, walking, riding horses,and motocycles, bicycling, ,dancing,playing all kind of sports,,entertaining ,rehearsing ,, and I never , never saw Elvis wearing JEANS, except in some of his movies, but then again, not to many......He was always wearing normal pants.I don t think Elvis was a Jean s man... If you have a picture of Elvis in jeans, I would love to see it.. In his early years, in 1955, 56, 57 etc.. ,unlike James Dean and all the youngsters, every body wore jeans in those days.., NOT Elvis....So young, and already so different from all the rest...The G.O.A.T...

    Very nice digging on this EP history nugget SG. Have to say,when i got my drivers license same day I was washing cars in a Cadillac dealer,their building looked identical to this dealership. The old school basement to park new cars as well as an 2nd floor ro main floor to park new cars upstairs. Those old building has everything built in with the mosaic tiles vibe around the service desk,,circular show windows,very cool. Also,,(not positive) ,but Southern Motors is where Marshall Grant worked as a line wrench, ,,along with Roy Johnny Cash's brother & Luther Perkins, worked,,that eventually started playing,,when Johnny got out of the Army. to form Johnny Cash and the Tennessee Two. Off topic, but I find your hot tub removal videos very interesting. Could be a tv show. Did you ever encounter any problems with customers or hot tubs that you just couldn’t get?

      No I was lucky.. I did lose some tubs that were gone but I never encountered more trouble than you saw in these videos..

    This pink Cadillac was the only Cadillac that Elvis owned when he crossed over

      This pink Cadillac burned in 1955 so he did not own it in 1977.. Did you watch the video??

      I am referring to the Cadillac that Elvis gave his mother. That pink Cadillac was the only Cadillac Elvis owned when he crossed over.

      @@robertstdon9280 The one across the street was not a Cadillac he ever owned it was for pictures to be made in front of.. It was at the Car museum and painted pink then moved to the Pavilion on the other side of the planes for a while and was a blue green color there..

    What colour shade of pink did they call the car.

    • @SpaGuy
      @SpaGuy  Před 2 lety +2

      There was no name for the color of this car.. There are stories about the name for the color of Gladys' but there is an actual color for her car thus the name is made up..
