My brother was killed by a woman that stole a truck and hit him head on, going over a hundred. Right there in Lakeland Fl. He didnt get a press conference. He didnt get anything. But an early death. He was going to the post office. He was a postmaster. A father. A veteran. A good man. Rip Kenneth Roger Gadd.
Condolences I can’t imagine your pain
I looked up the article. I'm sorry for your loss. People just dont realize how precious life is.
RIP Mr Gadd.... Thank u for ur Service 🇺🇲
Sorry for ur loss. But definitely understand. My father also died from being hit at high speed by a drunk driver but passed yrs later after the accident. He was hospitalized the entire time. But I think Judd may be coming to conclusions prematurely. Bcse it seems like they are not done w the investigation. What if the car she was driving was defective. Bcse usually if a person has a close call, they usually will stop the behavior even if they're drinking. Plus it appears she just had a good day at the beach and has a child of her own. And her family didn't see that as her typical behavior. I'm just hoping all this lifelong pain wasn't from just her sheer stupidity.
Condolences 🥲🥲
My heart goes out to the innocent victims, also to the first responders who witnessed the carnage and trauma.
sad for the families and especially the innocent grandparents and the child , omg how devasting , and sad for the young lady that caused this tradgedy . what caused this craziness
The cases Sheriff Judd presents are totally FABRICATED and DID NOT HAPPEN IN REAL LIFE! Judd would be FIRED for prejudicing REAL cases, by continually and PUBLICLY convicting people before they had their day in court and were convicted by a court of law. PERIOD!!!

I was Traffic Homicide Investigator for 14 years and saw the worst and the best of humanity. I am so glad to hear this officer say out loud what I was never allowed to say during interviews and follow-ups. It deserves to be said. Kudos to Sheriff Grady for telling it like it is.
I had a UK photo business and a regular client was a crash investigator. He would bring in his film, sometimes with a warning, 'This is a fatal' and I'd process them and print out multiple 8x6 copies for the court cases. The mangling of cars was incredible and often I'd wonder how anyone involved managed to survive.
As an ER specialist I want to thank you for every day that you served! You and I both saw horrible things, but you got to THE MOST horrible scenes. Again, thank you.
Just a question how many people did you beat up
Amazing the 3 year old had only minor injuries and survived. The parents must be so grateful yet also heartbroken for loss of the child’s grandparents.
Its called the hand of God.
Thank you Sheriff Judd, for being the kind, compassionate person you are.

We had a similar crash in Renton WA. The 18 year old was driving 112, hit a van,and killed a mother and three children from other families, her children are still in hospital recovering. The driver is alive. The car he wrecked was the third car he wrecked in the past two years. Sickening.
I've got a friend who is afraid to ride with me- say's I'm not safe on the road. He has crashed more cars than I've ever owned, and has a bunch of speeding tickets on his record. Me: Clean driving record for 30+ years, have never wrecked a vehicle.
The Renton 18yo was traveling 112mph on a 45mph residential arterial and drove through a red light t-boning that minivan and killing that poor mother and those poor three children. Beyond heartbreaking and truly disgusting behavior from that 18yo and his parents who enabled him with his brand new car. Those two prior car wrecks were within *11 months* from this tragic accident (May 23 and Jan 24) and were also speed related. Lock the entire family up.
And the douche was smirking on camera during a hearing. I used to live just up the road from there. He's out on bond.
He pleaded not guilty. Zero remorse. Zero accountability. He should be locked up with bubba to get a taste of what a wreck feels like.

Thank you Sheriff for telling it exactly how it is. There’s way too many reckless drivers in Florida that are driving way too fast and have nowhere to go that quickly. No emergency.

It wouldn't matter bc we have plenty in Louisiana who don't have their license but drives anyway and usually recklessly to cause accidents and they here seem to live and the families are left devastated with no love one and they can't sue a lover with no insurance and they know it. They know usually nothing happens to them until they kill someone and then it's just jail that they don't fear bc again...they have nothing. @trevencarlson9338 It's not just in Florida. All around the US, infrastructure designed for travel is catered to those who own cars. Other countries have bullet trains, sidewalks, bike lanes, etc. Those are rare except in large cities. The car manufacturers are in catered to and good public transportation isn't available for the majority of people.
Lived in Florida for 2 years. Traffic in Florida was the reason I moved back to Michigan. I’ve never in my life witnessed such recklessness as I did when I moved there. We were the victims of two hit and runs in the first month we were there. Developed PTSD and sat at home because I was so terrified to drive.
I and my ex-wife went down to Florida in 1991 to see my father near Naples. the drivers were crazy back then. can't imagine it now.
And most of them migrated from the northern states just to FYI
@@phil8212As a native, I can attest to this.
Lived in SWFL for 65 years. I saw more accidents caused by people from out of state. They would rather go straight across 3 lanes of traffic, than go down and turn around. Traffic is bad because of Michigan and other northern state drivers moving to Florida.

3 girls died in a crash near me awhile ago. The parents blamed the road, the corner, the tree, the highway department, the highway patrol, and the guy that restocks the soda machine at the repair shop up the street. When we all saw the pictures of her pickup truck split into THREE pieces, everybody knew where the blame should lay. All of the parents are/were still in total denial. "My baby did nothing wrong!" State Police accident investigators determined she was doing OVER 140. I drive that road, and also have a pickup. I wouldn't take that turn at over 35 in DAYLIGHT, and this girl tried at 140+ at 3:45 AM. She was almost 17, had a learner's permit, and no adult in the vehicle over 21 with a valid license. The other two girls were 15. None of the caskets were open.
Ferris Bueller said life comes at you fast... I say, so do 3 foot diameter trees.
There was a fatal dui crash up here years ago & all the parents tried blaming the driver. All them girls were old enough to know better…
im not advocating for this, but perhaps it deserves reconsideration, but in europe the average age for learning to drive is 18, perhaps letting immature children on our roads is not the most ideal idea
Thank you, sheriff, for bringing this to light! We spend tons of time driving down Hwy 60 & 70, nearly everyday I see some foolish person driving like an idiot!!!

That's surprising to hear, Florida being a DeSantis state. My heart hurts hearing this story. I hope DeSantis will finally fix this problem with severe measures for reckless drivers. I have a dear friend and her family who live in Orlando, whom I've known since jr high. That's what I've always said too ..We have drivers from every state in the country and from around the world bringing their bad driving habits to Florida
I've never seen more excessive speeding and tailgating than ever before the last few years since all these out of staters moved here.
So this woman was from out-of-state?
I used to travel 60 on business when I worked for Westgate Resorts many times, this road is treacherous especially when there is little to no law enforcement. There have been deaths on this road in the past, I've seen the results. The area should be covered by state and county law enforcement to stop these people. I live in Marion county and I fear for my life at times because of the lack of enforcement, I'm sick of it.
Possibly more than 1 solution here, including responsible driving in the first place, stronger penalties for criminal speeding and for repeat offenders.
The road should have been widened years ago. It's the two lane sections with some moron driving 5-10 mph below the speed limit and they cause enormous backups and wreckless passing. I've driven very wrecklessly on that road, going up to 95mph and illegal passing to overtake some moron driving 50.
In arizona, they will ticket you if your are driving below the speed limit causing a backup.
@@user-mm4nq7im4s Just curious: Why would anyone need to go 95 to pass someone going 50? Wouldn't 60 do it?
@@windycityliz7711 Because that moron who is barely driving 50 has a parade of cars behind them 12-15 cars deep. Now in the passing zones that last a mile or so, you must drive almost 100 to pass up the entire parade to get in front of that moron.
@@windycityliz7711 Probably because you want to pass fast enough before opposite traffic comes. 60 against 50 would take way too long to pass someone. You also have to factor in if that person decides to be a douche and speed up to not let you pass.
They used to have parades showing the horrors of automobile accidents to show youth the importance of safety 💯💯💯
Why would you pass a car on a 2 lane highway
That is insane!
Slow the F down people
What are you talking about? It's legal to pass a vehicle on a two lane highway. You must only drive in the big city.
@@VioletWings1353 It’s not legal if the two Lane highway does not have a dashed line or it’s not a good idea if there’s a curve or a hill and you can’t see far enough to make it so your car passes safely or if it’s night and you can’t see very far that’s also being an idiot.
@@enjoystravelingor driving at 100mph...some people are just idiots.
@@enjoystraveling Nobody said it wasn't a passing area. That wasn't the issue. The issue was how fast she was going and not making sure she had it clear to pass.
@@MeLrOsE429 There are a lot of idiots out there. This isn't some unique case because people haul butt on 60 and 27 every single day. More people speeding than going the limit
In tampa too a lot of peoples driven very dangerous and road rage 😡
YOUR DRIVING TOO SLOW
She looked like trouble in her photo and wound up being alot more than trouble. The 3 year old has a shot at a good life now.
A lot
Yeah. That picture just screams "social media influencer wannabe" with an additional charge of public Duck Face.
thank you sheriff judd. i know it was hard but people need to be talked to more openly this way. there are consequences for your actions. be respectful and caring toward others and be mindful of making bad decisions. my heart goes out the the victims and their families and also the girl who caused the wrecks family.
This Sheriff is phenomenal, eloquent and articulate. Talk about serving justice.
60 needs to have more speed traps
WHY
Hwy 60 needs to be 4 lanes both east and west bound from coast to coast in Florida. Florida needs more elevated roadways without intersections but with on/off ramps like interstate expressways. There is too much traffic traveling on inadequate roadways leading to dangerous and deadly accidents.
I called Polk County Sheriff to request a "directed traffic assignment" for a residential road that runs parallel to Hwy 27 heading towards I-4. Excessive speeding always on that road (especially with dump trucks and semi). They use it as a shortcut to I-4. The speed limit is 30 mph. A couple of weeks ago we had a crashed with both vehicles flipping over. Luckily all involved were okay including the 3 children in the mini van. Still haven't hear back from Polk County or seen any patrol on that road.
Did the woman in the mini van have a " baby on board" sitcker as she drove recklessly...
@@ricksmith4736 Why do you think there was a woman driving a minivan? Actually the 2 vehicles involved were driven by 2 men.
In SUWANNEE county FL. we hardly EVER SEE the County OR State running radar to help control these FOOLS out here on the roads
Also rare in CITRUS County!
Then you don’t get out much. Both Suwannee and Citrus are running radar. Radar stops due to having to investigate traffic crashes and other duties. Voice your concerns to your local government, representative and senators. The budget is inadequate to have full time traffic enforcement.
@@AppalachianPatriot Just maybe if they gave tickets for speeding there wouldn't be as many traffic accidents to investigate.
@@Solarprofessional It doesn’t work that way. Not all accidents are speed related or predictable. Most are due to human error.
Wow! So sorry for the families!
Where I live a head on collision occurs about every day. People pass to get back in just ahead of you. They do not save any time.
STOP GOING 20MPH
There are tooo many @ssholes on Florida roads. Stay safe .
In my small town in Florida....our officers like to sit in the common/public parking lot 2 of them almost every morning....7am.....all the while on the road behind them are speeders ....people cutting weaving in and out of traffic being idiots ....makes me sad they are getting paid to watch our streets !!!!!
You could always call your Chief of Police and your mayor to discuss this with them. You can also go to your town's monthly meeting to address your concerns. Speaking with other citizens of your town to enlist their support to address this issue might help, too. The more people you can get to address this, the more apt they are to address the issue.
@@VioletWings1353 Yeah, then they can kick your door down at 5am....
@@VioletWings1353 thank you.....I will absolutely do that
Not all officers are traffic cops. They are assigned to other duties.
Not many small towns left in fl after GPS navigation took over. Cutback roads run rite thru once quite lil towns.
100 mph, this is Hearbreaking, one 3 year old will never see the loving smiles of the grandparents who seems to have loved him dearly and another 3 year old will grow up without the loving care of his mother
NOW HE CAN NEVER DO DRUGS AND BE HOMELESS
I absolutely love this sheriff he is so respectful of victims & is just very professional and kind.
God bless these families 🙏🙏🙏
These young people are cut from a different cloth. Not all of them, but the majority seem to have ZERO respect for life, others, values...it's all about them. Only them, F anyone else. I'm a grand parent. This made me cry. I cannot imagine the trauma that 3 year old experienced, their baby's parents.
Did she do this on purpose?? A mother driving like that? Family knows more. And I bet she was drunk.
Rip to the victims.
Bet she'll never do something that stupid again.
And that's kind of a stupid thing to say 🙄
She isn’t able to.
Thank you sheriff Judd and crew
