Skip is definitely wrong about the OU defense. They are pretty good. Not elite, but good. They held Kansas to a touchdown for 3 quarters, and then the backups came in and gave KU 2 more. The offense, and the offensive line in particular, gave us some reasons to doubt OU after the KU game. That said, I think they were testing some out some new lineups before Texas, and they probably spent the majority of the week prior to the KU game preparing for this weekend. They also ran fewer RPO plays vs. KU, opting to sit Jalen Hurts in the pocket, and have Sermon and Stevenson pound the rock (Brooks was probably just sore from that late hit the week before and resting for UT (I hope)). Should be a good one, and I expect OU to lean heavily on the RPO, as they should.

Does Skip even watch his own team? Anyone with eyes can obviously tell OUs defense is drastically improved. It didnt matter who we played last year, we got scored on. Yes, they havent played anyone yet but you can still tell they are better just by watching them. We will find out how much better they are on Saturday. Also, the Kansas game is an anomaly. Its wasnt that bad to begin with. They scored 10 points in garbage time and OU coasted the whole day, which was after a rain delay I might add. Just saying.

klatt named one school, ohio state, for defense, but as a conference nothing comes close to the SEC. the SEC has lead all conferences in draft picks for 10 plus years. the conference has also had 7 ROY's the last 10 years. in the 2015-2016 season, the SEC had the national champion, the heisman winner, the NFL rookie of the year, the NFL MVP, the superbowl winning coach, the superbowl winning QB, and the MVP of the superbowl. they also lead in draft picks. you will NEVER see that kind of dominance in one season from a conference again!

Here’s my opinion, at this moment based on stats Joe Burrow is the top Heisman candidate. If they go undefeated until the playoffs I don’t see how he can’t win. The only QB category Hurts is top in right now is maybe player rating and rushing yards. I don’t see how people have him so high up.

They're going to go to the pac-10 or the Big 12 or the Big Ten where they wont meet big defensive lineman that will end their career. Does that make sense? But that doesn't mean that they deserve a Heisman Trophy over a quarterback that can prosper in the SEC.
