i had to harvest my eggs because my chemo could harm my chances of getting pregnant, it was a hard choice cause im only 19 and to be thinking of saving eggs to wait till im 24-26 was crazy but im glad i did so that i know i have my little eggs there just in case i have trouble in the future.
That must be a hard decision to make at 19. Good luck and stay strong.

Loni my point wasn't for children to look like them, just that some people want to physically be pregnant with and give birth to the child, I agree that adoption would be an option for other people - if I have children I'll probably adopt (call it guilt for being told all my life my mother should have adopted instead of having me) - but the woman in the video must clearly won't to go through the pregnancy and birth

It's not sad in that kind of sense, it's actually pretty amazing that she has this opportunity... It's like if some soccer player lost his legs, but eventually got leg prostheses and could play again, it's a struggle with a happy ending :)

ChrisnotiaProduction Of course it's not exactly the same thing, but my point was, that infertility can be a serious issue as well. If your biggest dream is to have a family, I would say that this treatment is just as amazing as if someone got the chance to do sports once again. I wasn't focusing on the additional struggles of immobility and use of wheelchair etc.

This video was really helpful, thank you so much. I was recently given five years to have children naturally before relying on other methods so I've been looking into egg freezing and IVF. There isn't a whole lot of information that's as real as hearing it from someone else who's been through it. Hopefully it doesn't come down to it as I'm terrified of needles but it's definitely still an option that I would consider.

Pearl the rebel I had this procedure and there was NO DIARRHEA. I know several people who have done it and several doctors who do it and I have never ever heard of this side effect. What do you think causes diarrhea? Maybe you are talking about a different operation and I missed it.

Plus a huge portion of their audience is women in their late 20s and 30s who are now thinking about starting families and what their options are so this can be really helpful.

If there close to menopause( or another reason) they may not be able to have children soon you want to get eggs so that you can still have babys
so that they could have children when they are older and ready for them

As women get older, the "quality" of her eggs may decrease leading to difficulty getting pregnant. So freezing your eggs at a younger age can allow you to pursue your career and safely start a family when you're ready.
+59 rg it's not that your body is too old to grow them, because when a female is born, she is born with all of the eggs she will have for her life. The quality just degrades over time and they are less likely to become fertilized
