  • This Mitsubishi DX700U-G DLP Projector had a problem igniting the lamp. It would turn on, spin up and shut down immediately. I suspected the color wheel at first. It ended up being the index mark of the color wheel not being in place. This is a long video so I split it into 2 parts. If you need a lamp, here is a good source. www.purelandsu... Thanks for watching.

That's sad to hear. I'm sorry it failed. It's probably pretty expensive.

Hey Frank , yep those mitsu's are a pain to work on because they need to be taken apart for most issues. I would guess someone sprayed a lubricant or even sprayed can air too long and liquid refrigerant can dislodge the black sticker sensor on color wheel. I love your videos because i know im not alone tackling these issues... Have you ran into the wonderful lense issues with mitsu, infocus, and others that will not fine focus due to heat damage? Coretronics made these defective optics used in hundreds of projectors from 2012 to 2015. I buy pallets of projectors to resell and end up fixing many with various problems and your channel has been a God send for me. Business is booming with covid lockdowns and people needing home entertainment. The house is filling up with unsellable projector carcasses LOL .... Wife hasn't had to ask me to move those dlps so i can take a bath yet at least... Thanks for all you do!!

So many schools use that awful Endust electronics spray. That stuff is pure glue for dust. I have not run into that lens issue myself but I have heard of it.
I'm glad to hear your business is going well! That sounds like a lot of fun to do. You should email me your info. I buy used projectors for clients sometimes and I always like to know folks in the business.
Your wife sounds like mine. She is so forgiving of how I took over the dining room. Happy New year to you!
