Feb 25, 1996.
The Orlando Magic were the defending Eastern Conference champions who had knocked the Bulls out of the playoffs the previous year. So Chicago fans had plenty reason to be nervous about the Magic.
This was The Biggest Game of The Season so far. Why? Well, even though they had met twice already earlier in the year, this was the first game with both starting line ups intact (Shaq had missed both previous games and Rodman missed one). This was it! This was the one that mattered.
Shaq, Penny, Horace, Nick and 3D made up the 'best starting 5' in the NBA. They were gonna take it to the Bulls' Superman, Batman and RODman! Showdown at The United Center. Conference Finals preview!
How did it turn out? Well, the superstars sure played big... but it was a certain Croation Sensation that stole the show! - Sport
These Bulls' game was pure art.
when Kukoc played well you can literally pen the win into the books for the Bulls
😏 True ✅
wow that game was AMAZING!! The bulls with mj, scottie dennis, toni, and steve. Really had a whole team with talent close to all-star level....excellent editing and awesome upload!!!
fun to watch....I miss the 90's NBA
Penny was a beast man oh man
Toni Kukoc should have been at least once all-star,had he for any other team he would average 20 points,7,rb,7 as per game.
He Played for other teams though...
pretty sure there were always enough better players than Toni though...
During the 95-98 seasons he was among 24 best players in the League.
He just wasn't consistent enough. On some nights he could be crazy good, and he'll go down as one of the better sixth men ever, but the difference between that and a legitimate all-star is consistency, and that's what Kukoc lacked.
@@mikesannitti6042 Yep! I remember he missed liked 30 something three pointers in a row during the course of a couple of games in the playoffs.
Haha the crowd started whistling when they saw Shaq changing shorts lol.
LOL! Fun times. Great crowd!
Thanks. This is great. Star studded lineups. Even Longley was a stud. Harper and Grant were always under appreciated.
Just to give some perspective of how good this Orlando team was wit Shaq&Penny. They won 60 Game's that season and Shaq missed 29 Game's due to injury.
NBA JAM, after school. be there.
Bulls owed the 90's all day!!!

That dunk at 5:41 is one of his most underated dunks. He just explodes to the basket right over the top of Horace Grant. I love it!
4:28 leaves me speechless.. Hitting a fadeaway is enough of a challenge in itself let alone turning around IN THE AIR before doing it! When he left the ground he had his back to the basket. And what an arc he put on that one too..
Thanks for the up baldheadkid
Great upload! That move at 5:38..wow...for a 33years old legs. So quick, so smooth, so unexpected.
Thanks for the upload! Should be called Jordan & Pippen ;) Pippen is one of the most underrated players.
Thanks for the videos man!
nice upload, i finally found that fast break by pippen in the 95-96 bulls championship video @ 1:50. Rodman's turn around pass the ball in mid air to pippen, and then pippen the fake and lay it up.
but do someone mention penny...i really love this guy...he is so tough to guard by jordan and pippen...i always put him next to jordan..because he almost play like jordan..before i said to myself.if jordan will retire,i will go to penny..but the problem is.,he got knee injury so early...i really feel so bad to this guy..remember his tv promotios.he is strarting to be so famous..but shaquil oneal leave them and went to lakers..then suddenly itall went down for penny.he got knee injury and traded..everything just went wrong...but if oneal did not go lakers..im sure they beat bulls in the previous years.
Great video my friend
Kukoc was killing them with the 3's!!!
They specifically got Harper to counter that big Magic back court Penny and Nick Anderson. Both MJ and Pip have a hard time against a really skilled and very smart Penny Hardaway who can do it all. This Bulls team is the best of all-time, No one comes close.
Alvin K. Penny Rarely Makes Mistakes
+Tamila You know they won 4 straight in the Finals against Magic and Worthy
+Tamila 86 Celtics is one of the best of all-time but it would be a very hard choice the between them and the 96 bulls. It wasn't weak, that bulls team was so great that it made everyone look weak. Penny Hardaway could have HoF status. He is long, athletic, superior IQ, ballhandling skills, etc in the mold of players like Oscar, and a younger Tracy Mcgrady.
+Tamila In this game you can see 5 HoF calibre talent. MJ, Pip, Shaq, Rodman, and Penny (if he didnt get injured he is a HoF calibre talent). Then you have all-star talent players in their younger days like Harper, kukoc, Anderson, and Grant. Plus you have 2 of the greatest shooters of all-time 3D and Kerr. All those in this game alone. I wouldnt really call this a watered down era.
+Domini478 Penny schooled Pippen (their best defender in almost every possession). Pippen even admitted Penny was a better version of himself
This is the unstoppable team of all times!!!!!!
LOL!! Wennington and Luc were moving around like Dwight Howard out there!! Great times! Thanks for posting these vids man.
Scary days back then while listening to Bulls vs Magic on radio because my family had no cable.
if longley played today he'll make allstar
Yes; yes he def would. Good eye
"O'Neal down with Steve Kerr....(announcers laugh) and there was no question bout that sequence"
LOL
so nice classic oldschool games....
people said pippem shut down Penny no he didn't couldn't no one in the league guard Penny all these highlights are mostly catering to the Bulls but Shaq&Penny have them Headaches
man orlando's transition defence was horrendous. Penny and Shaq were so talented yet so undisciplined... if only they had a better coach who could have pushed them
+cupertinoish Good observation. They had the ability to play d and would've won that game but were young and needed a good coach, not a clueless coach like Brian Hill. He only rode talent while in Orlando. The Grizzlies made the mistaking of hiring him because of the hype of 'taking Orlando to the finals' and after he was let go there go, was never heard from again.
This is the immaturity of youth playing against a veteran team who played at the highest level, especially in terms of their attitude and confidence.
wow that those times certainly Hardaway was my favorite player today do not think there is a player like Hardaway and Jordan playing with that elegance
rodman running looks so relaxed as if it was his warm up programm ^^
Can you imagine the damage this Orlando team would do in today's league???
When I see Golden State play and how good they are now, it makes me wonder what the Magic could've been. There's a whole lot of similarities regarding their styles.
Jordan
that was an awesome game.
Kukoc rarely got credit? He got the best 6th man award for that season!
This game is loaded with sweet dunks
Orlando was the only Squad that could beat the Bulls
Dirrty Waterz and the Rockets
BS! Just about every NBA team back then COULD beat the Bulls. You forget the Bulls lost 10 games and not all to Orlando. Even the Nuggets beat them. The NBA was STACKED backed then. On Any good night, any team could beat them, especially if they played well and the Bulls didn't.
@@Wis_Dom What no my man only a few teams had a real chance that yr to beat the Bulls And Orlando had the best opportunity bruh
@@ernestboykin3rd706 Okay? Whatever....
@@Wis_Dom I think he's talking about in a 7 game series. Any team can beat any team 1 game in the NBA, even today.
What a great game!!!!
Kukoc, Kerr, Jordan... It's rainin threes hallelujah!
I was thinking the exact same thing when watching this!
can't imagine it's going to be 20 years soon
I miss this era of basketball
what a great line up both teams..
both really good players dude.
Shaq was a Monster
oh yes i remeber around 95' Jordan was having problems at home!!! But boy the 80's and 90's was the best years of BBall i think !!!!!you know seeing these great teams with 2 to 3 star players you got a show !!!! then when all star game come around everybody tunes in!!!!
+Domini478 Don't give us that excuse. MJ was BALLING and putting up big scoring numbers after he came back. He was ball hogging as always. They simply weren't as good before getting Rodman and Harper, before they got those two players the Magic had a better starting 5 that's why they beat the Bulls in 95
agreed he played excellent defense
Everyone always talked about Pippen and Jordan, but those '96 Bulls would NOT have won 72 games without that large and underrated supporting cast. The addition of Rodman created the greatest defensive trio in the history of the game. Kukoc rarely got credit for his superb shooting, passing, and clutch play. Harper, Wennington, Longley, and Kerr upped their game playing alongside MJ. Also, the team had size; only Kerr was considered short at 6-3.with all the key players being 6-6 or taller.
Back when the NBA was littered with the greatest players. Shaq, MJ, Penny, Pippen & Rodman.
The only thing I could never understand with the NBA was the players never shook hands at the end of the game.
No excuse for poor sportsmanship. Once the game is over, leave everything on the court.
LMAO @ the wolf whistles while Shaq changed his shorts.
great. not just only MJ but everybody. thnx
I have nothing but respect for Jordan's effort because at 3:53 most players would have questioned whether or not to even challenge that play.
his outside/baseline jumpshot was automatic, 3 rings is nice too
gotta add the sonic up there
Sometime I Slick envy those 84Chicago02 Fans Man... Pure Excitement from The GOAT Penny BigPiP youngSHAQ Rodzilla &Kucok ..... Words don’t even do this Game Justice Bruh - RealTalk #BeenFlightSchooled89
lmaoo!! The crowd whistling at Shaq @ 8:53
Both solid role players, nothing more. No-one is going to remember miller or chalmers on the heat in ten or twenty years, even though they are both good players that contribute to the team.
so do i man...playground was literally my backyard growing up in middle school/high school i would record these games on vhs study them and school the dudes who would guard me...lol
Name of the song played as they show both teams starting lineups.
It got even worse for the Magic in the ECF. Swept out 0-4 and belted 121-83 in Game 1.
Scottie showed how MJ won 6 championships. He really was a great all-round player when he was healthy.
no doubt...ppl dont give Penny his props...at one time Penny was the best player in the league by far.
i remember jordan was sick going into that game...
da da dada da da daa-naa dun ah dun ah..........NBA on NBC.....man i miss that
good times
Heat on the court. Jordan in the Concord 11's Penny in the Air Penny 1.
The 1996 Bulls front court doesn't get enough credit.
They all look at Pippen and Jordan, but that front court had some amazing players, and mind you, none of them an American.
Longley - Australian
Wennington - Canadian
Kukoc - Croatian
Rodman - Alien
Why do these games seem more competitive than today? Even though this was regular season, every player is hustling.
Shaq wearing the Shaqnosis shoes.
A CERTAIN CROATIAN SENSATION
Grant was so valuable in this series
Superman, Batman and Rodman!
Did anyone else see Wennington's through the leg pass at 6:05 ?
Please don't insult Kukoc.
B-dub was non stop highlights. His skill was overlooked because of all the other great players on the bulls, but on any other team he would have started and put up 20 & 10. He didn't get his own mcdonalds sandwich for nothing. I couldn't dunk until I ate a beef wennington, I ate one every day during the 95-96 season.
Wellington was inportant i always felt that way , he was a working horse.
Yeah, true..
3:48 MJ is like oops I don't want to be here!
Kukoc what a fricken boss
Kukoc was on fire
Shaqnosis!
Hopefully with the new bulls Mike dunleavy jr will be the new kukoc and have that kind of impact for the bulls 2013-2014 should be a exciting season for us GOBULLS!
Shaq swear he was like that but was scared to guard luke skully😂
Orlando was a really big team.
It doesn't matter. He can score more than any and all of those guys combined. He's the best scorer of all time. You don't need handles or post-up skills to score, just will.
Concords .. Say no more haters!
Anyine notice players today cant run a break like 80s n 90s?
@char4ever and the next fast break in the video where ron harper pass to Longley for the dunk is in the championship video too.
What's the name of the song playing during the lineup intros?
hardaway was a straight up baller...
This is real basketball..i wish i was able to see the whole game
Superman, Batman, and Rodman
Have you seen him when he first came into the nba? He was so small compare to now haha but yeah he was a runner back then
MJ - Pippen = Best Duo Ever
plus
Rodman = the Michael Jordan of Rebounds
To much to handle by any of the teams today.
penny got dem thangz on...
mj 2 -- 95-96 waz a helluva year 4 nike
Damn i remember H Grant's got his arm broken between Pip and Shaq , in the East Finals , that almomost made me throw up
Only reason why the Bulls swept the Magic. Would have been much more competitive had Horace not been injured.
@@mmafan2223 Horace wasn't injured thru the series
@@courtneywhite6036 happened the very first game
@@mmafan2223 They still woulda lost
Nick Anderson couldn't stop Pip tho
4:27 lol wooooooow talk about degree of difficulty!
@ THIS TIME I WAS 11 YEARS OLD WATCHING THIS GAME. A HUGE KNICKS FAN, BUT "PENNY" WAS MY FAVORITE PLAYER. A 6'7PG SMH.
Damn shame that Penny’s career went the route it did.
3:49 Shaw-Shaq redemption
@3:50 Wow... Shaq dunked on Jordan.
Ya, but nobody really ever talks about him initially when talking about the Bull's dynasty. It's always Jordan, Pippen, or Rodman.
