I pulled the Trigger and did exactly what this man did, even messaged him privately to get tips and I love how they came out. So clean. It was easy, just have patience, go slow and have a steady hand!
How many coats did you do?
@@Julian-uh4yk I did about 2 coats of the matte black and 2-3 of the clear finish. Just do it to what feels and looks right to you, it’s art and gonna be dope either way once you’re done imo! Best of luck!
I just completed mine two days ago and it came out 🔥🔥. Only thing I notice is when you press down on the collar part of the shoe it still shows the cracks a little but at least it’s not that ashy look
The effect this gave the collar is actually closer to what the distressing would look like at first before starting to crack. If someone wears these down they’re going to look way better than the regular lost and founds would.
these looks way better because the black cracks color are now matching with the color of the swoosh
The same kids on here that age and distress their shoes and say "it's my shoes let me do what I like" are on here sayin "ruined the whole concpet!"💀💀
Despite what people are saying I definitely prefer them this way. I like the lost and found concept but they went overboard and made the collar too gray. It ruins the Chicago color way when the collar isn’t the same color as the Nike swoosh or black laces.
I dont get wyt they did what they did. The cracked leather. Especially on the white, is waaaaay lower quality than on the AMM AJ1 people hate on. The white portion of the L&F literally looks like those 1970 popcorn ceilings everyone had. The quality is terrible! Lastly, the swoosh has no distressing whatsoever, which makes even less sense.
The after has a more 85 look.
Sold my 15’s to a buddy years ago and sadly miss them a lot so I’m gonna just turn these into my old ones! Thank you for the video!

Amazing! Can you do a custom of the AJ White Cement 3's Reimagined and repaint the mid sole and back tabs from the aged look to a completely white?
When I first saw pictures of these, I didn’t like the crackles which made me think of this exact modification. Since then, I have a few pairs and the aged look has grown on me 100%. Well done nonetheless. Maybe nike will still drop the “regular” 1s again soon! They have to eventually right?
The crack leather now looks like Stage Haze leather which I like!

I don’t mind so much the aged look on the rest of the shoe, but I can’t understand for the life of me why they decided to go with that ugly cracked leather on the collar. It’s the only reason I didn’t pay resell for these. I still wanted them for retail because I’m a sneaker head and these are what they gave us. But they’re not worth anything more than $300 max. $400+ is a pass for me.
Facts these shits are only dope cause of the story attached to em, and what they mean to sneakers in general.. but they're wack imo. Literally a Chicago version of the visionaires which were doodoo.

The collar would be cool if the rest of the shoe had the same effect. But the white leather is atrocious quality and the swoosh is not distressed at all. It is like Nike had spare cuts laying around and just cobbled these together half assed

Also real question is: how long does the paint hold up? Will the cracked bits eventually dry up and poke back out? Did it peel at all with the layers on paint and sealer on top? lol

Are the lost and founds the same as the Chicago but aged?
Really in terms of shape they are more of a 1994 Chicago, but aged to how 1985 pairs would look. None of the retro highs are real replicas of 85 Jordans.😊

Ikr, not really a fan of the artificially aged look. I want my shoes to look new, like they did when they first came out, not like yellowed and cracking, they might as well sell them with the toes all creased up already too and some scuffs

When mine get trashed, Im going to restore them and do this exact thing. Anyone know how to get lost and found’s mid sole to crisp white color. I know they come in like a sale white stock but does anyone have a method to make them white.
I think you could just paint them white because they are artificially yellowed in factory, the yellowing probably does not come off naturally.
@@F9y8.you can’t paint Jordan 1 soles, they’re textured and it’ll just chip off. You’d have to do a sole swap.
@@Djsjsjdhusjsjsjsjs I've done it before, I do agree that it will chip off over time. If you paint about 4-7 (very) light coats with brush/air brush it will stay white for a while, because of the sail color that the original L&F sole comes is not that yellow to begin with, you will not really be able to tell when its staring to fade away or chip away.

It's look worst. I have painted some beaten pair of mine that has leather cracked and end up like this.
if we cant custom this pair in to smooth brand new shoes , better leave it like that white leather part still crack anyway.

Not if you think the concept is stupid to begin with and prefer your shoes looking brand new so you can naturally age them yourself. Most people prefer a clean, non-artificially aged version of the shoe.
Using the shoes the crack will gone . I weared them for 25 days, and it’s horrible how the black is fading
