This was very therapeutic for me to watch you at work. My favorite part was when you sat on your counter to start maquillando the cake with gold leaves. You’re laser focused concentration really came through in the final product. The right hint of flakes; not too much nor too little- just the right amount. This actually happed to my sister-in-law’s baby shower cake. When she picked it up from the baker it was lopsided and fell over on the day of her shower. Thank goodness for grocery store cakes!! We did this exact thing.

The thing is, if she cut two half circles the cake wouldn't be able to support the next layers that would go on top of it. If she put other cakes on it, it would squish and ooze from the sides. Plus, who says it goes to waste? She could either eat the scraps or make cake pops ✌🏻
@@IZoMione absolutely not true that it would not support top layers or that anything would ooze due to the vertical split. I worked as a professional cake decorator for years and have done similar countless times while sculpting shapes. I applaud her effort but she just doesn’t seem to understand the math. Yes, more cakes pops for everyone! 😋

i was just coming here to say this.
Actually it was a different shade of green. That particular shade of green in the original decorations would not have been as elegant as the shade of green she ended up with. That's why she took out off. You notice she started to use neon which was also a student shade than the original.
