    A great review. Going in July with my family (2 kids aged 3 and 6). We have early dining. Can you recall what times the dining in the main dining rooms were? I've heard there are 2 times, but on busy sailing sometimes 3?
    Also agree about the lateness of some of the evening entertainment (10.30pm). My children would love all these parties in the atrium/pool deck but 10.30pm is probably too late for them to stay up. They should be 9.30pm then at least families could catch maybe the 1st 15/30 mins.

      Aww that's the same age my children were when we went, they are going to have a great time. And I am pretty sure it's 5.30, 7.30 and 9.30, we got to pick 5.30 which was a good time for us as there was a show on every night at 7pm so the timing was great (the 9pm was always a lot busier and too late for the children). And if you do end up missing the 5.30 dinning you can just use the buffet. I'm not sure if you can choose but you could always email them and try and request that time for the reason that your children are so young. And yes it will be nice if they could change the late entertainment, as I was saying about there being a show each evening make sure you book them on the app once onboard, they don't tell you the entertainment shows until 3 days in advance so make you you keep an eye out to get booked into the earlier shows. Hope this helps, Have an amazing time 🙂

    Well done Jodi, this is excellent. Really detailed and comprehensive guide, advice, and personal insights. Its everything that a good travel vlog should be.
    We didn't travel on Virtuosa with children, but did notice how incredible the waterpark and kids club facilities were, and we think you've done a great job of bringing all that to your video here.
    Pop some #(hashtags) in your video description section so that more people can find this video in a search.....just a thought 👍

      Thank you so much for your comment 😊 This is one of my first videos and I was quite nervous, so everything that you have said means alot to me. I'm glad you liked the video and I will definitely take that advice onboard (pardon the pun) 😆 Thanks again.

    Thanks for a great video. Quick question, is there anywhere to change by the pools, or is it a case of going from room with a towel/robe wrapped around? Thanks.

      Thank you I'm so glad you found this video helpful, unfortunately there wasn't any changing rooms next to the pools which I found quite odd so yes it is a case of having swimwear under your clothes or robe, we found if we didn't have valuables on us, it was easy to just leave our clothes on a chair and go from the different pools and Jacuzzis, and we had the water proof neck phone pockets to keep phones and key cards in and they didnt get wet. There were toilets close to the indoor pools and out door jacuzzi at the back of the shop, and they are very spacious and very clean so can easily get changed in there if needed. Hope this helps 😊

    We are taking my 16 year old son and his friends after their GCSEs in June, do you think it will be relatively quiet with being out of school holidays ? Great video, I am a cruiser but learnt a lot about this ship from you , thank you x

    • @jodicross439
      @jodicross439  Před 5 měsíci

      Aww thank you, I'm really glad this video helped. And oh wow that will be a great way to end his GCSEs, all the teenagers onboard looked like they were having a great time. In regards to it being quiet in June, I couldn't say for sure but I imagine it definitely would be quiter, even if its at full capacity most rooms would have 2 adults in instead of families with kids so alot less people onboard. The Scottish school hoildays start the end of June so I would think that's when it gets to become very busy. Hope this helps a little 😊 x

    Hiya booked the virtuosa for next jan going to dubai ❤ just wondering when you got off at a new country did you have to carry your passport or was the cruise card enough ? And with the dispensers can you take a mug of coffee etc from the machine to your room / lounger ? For dinimg option is it formal wear every night or do they tell you before hand ? I know some cruises they have white party where u dress all in white but is that in the dining restaurants or just the gallery where they have parties ? Thanks again for posting this video been so helpful ! X

      Did you take your own sippy bottles from the uk on the ship or have to but plastic bottles from the ship to fill up ? Mykids are still toddlers but have straw bottles for water etc . But i think a plastic bottle with lid will be better when we travel outside so it doesn’t leak in the bags . Could you take food from buffet out off rhe port if you put it in your bag ? Do thry check all that ?

      Hi, oh Dubai sounds amazing 😃 when we got off at the different ports we didn't need our passports, only our cruise cards, we were very surprised how easy it was getting on and off the ship at ports but I can't say its exactly the same for Dubai. Yes you can take any drinks back to your room or a sun lounger which really helped with us not having a drinks package 😊 For dining in the restaurants you can do smart causal so shorts and a tshirt is fine, but we found if it's a special evening elegant night/White night everyone would be dressed that way for dinner and ready for the evening but again only if you want to be, the restaurants are lovely so I think we felt we should be dressed when we went there to add to the experience. The buffet on the other hand is as casual as you would like to be, you are meant to cover up in there, no swimwear etc but seeing as it's right next to the pool people would just stick a cover up over them, grab some food and take it back to the pool area, the back of the ship is a lovely place to eat just outside of the buffet, we always found a quite spot there. So glad you found the video helpful, hope you have a wonderful time 😊 xx

      And yes you can definitely take your own bottle with you, just make sure it's empty when you board. We filled ours up with mostly ice every morning on port days (to keep it nice and cool) and added Robinson juice pods. And yes we were the cheap people that took some little brown bags to take a picnic from the buffet, we took muffins, pastrys and doughnuts from breakfast but you could be more adventurous with it. Nobody checked but again I'm not completely sure if it will be the same for Dubai. To be honest we filled ourselves up so much at breakfast that we didnt need that much to eat in the day, but went for pizza and hotdogs as soon as we got back on the ship as a late lunch. If you have any other question feel free to ask 😊

    Were the kids movies ever listed in the daily planner? Curious if this is a Virtuosa-only thing

    • @jodicross439
      @jodicross439  Před 7 měsíci

      Hi, the movies weren't listed on the main daily planner, but it wason a separate piece of paper with the kids club information (which came every day along with the planner) but it was more difficult to spot and you had to actually read the sheet of paper to see it, but there was a kids movie on every day when we went which was july. Thanks 😊

    You said you aren't allowed to fill your water bottle? I thought you could? Is there no option to do this? On a med cruise in October...thanks

    • @jodicross439
      @jodicross439  Před 9 měsíci

      Hi, sorry i do apologise for not making that part clearer. You are allowed to fill your bottle up, just not straight from the dispenser for hygiene reasons, so you have to fill their cups up and then pour the juice into your bottle. But there is no problem with that it just takes abit longer. We filled ours up with mainly ice and a small amount of juice to keep it cooler for longer, we also took Robinsons juice pods to squeeze into our water when out and about. I hope you have a great time 😊
