MSC Virtuosa. Our worst cruise experience... EVER! [2021]

Today we bring you a cruise vlog we initially planned not to share... we felt it came across a little negative and we genuinely don't like that on our channel. But... as with life, not everything always goes to plan and it's right to share good and the not so good experiences with you.
Back in September 2021, we cruised for the first time with MSC on their stunning ship, Virtuosa. The ship itself is incredible! It's one of the best ships we have ever been on. That said, on this occasion at least, it was poorly run with venues closed, a lack of staff... it wasn't great. I think as you watch the vlog, although we try to keep positive we clearly weren't having a great time.
This was a 3 night cruise. There was only one port stop along the way, Portland. but we decided to stay on the ship as during those times we weren't able to explore the port by foot and it gave us more time on the ship...

As you can tell we didn’t have the best time aboard MSC Virtuosa… in fairness this was 2 years ago off the back of Covid times… Have you been on Virtuosa since? Think we should give them another try? Let us know in the comments. 😊🥂🥳

Pre-pandemic, I wold never have contemplated such a huge ship. Absolutely love Virtuosa. It's perfectly possible to find a quiet spot with some forward planning. Problems materialise on any ship - it's how it's dealt with that counts. Always found staff on both Virtuosa and Euribia lovely. Hola! i is also my favourite restaurant. The UK market was quite alien to MSC in 2021, but having done four cruises since then, constructive criticism is definitely being listened to,
That’s great to hear. We loved the ship itself. It’s fantastic. What let it down for us was the service. The staff themselves were great and worked so hard. The problem was the lack of staff at the time. From what you’ve said this has changed which is great to hear.
Still unsure if we will ever give them another go but we shall see. 😊

Yeah we saw! Shocking behaviour. We are always tempted to give them another go as their ships are gorgeous. But based on the service we had and going off what friends have told us lately we just can’t justify it. Shame really. Thanks for watching! 🥂

We’ve not sailed with Carnival yet, some of the ships look like a lot of fun.
Have done virtuosa and iona and the food on V was 1000% better. We've just booked to go on it again

Kind of irrelevant posting a review of a ship while it wasstill in the throws of covid restrictions years later!? We went on Virtuosa this year and all problems you had were resolved, embarkation was 15 mins, all bars open, food was fabulous!
