Thank you for this. I was at this game, 13 years old and in the Grange End watching John Toshack make a name for himself. I was also at the previous year's Cardiff-Hull game when we beat them 6-0. Toshack's time with City was growing short by this time. Ol' Shankly was casting his shrewd eye Tosh's way.

I am currently reading "Real Madrid and all that" by Paul Evans, he puts youtube links to matches from the 70/71 season. As I'm following the games in the book (It's a great read by the way) I've been digging out all my old programs from that season including this game which had an added bonus of John Toshack's autograph on it obtained by my dad......Priceless!!!! (It's on my CCFC "wall of fame") I was watching the game on the wall near the corner flag where radio ninian was located.....the good 'ole days.

I was in the Canton with the old man. I often wonder if Toshacks departure launched so many plastic LFC couch potatoes, from the capital.
