Update: it could be ur headphones but for me it was my phone. The phones mic didn’t work in phone calls anymore and it wouldn’t read wired headphones. Had to get a new phone.

I’ve just bought a brand new iPhone as well as a pair of ear bods.my problem is that earbods play the sound without any problem and I can hear the sounds so good,but the mic doesn’t work at all and also volume buttons don’t work as well as that central button so I cant pause any video with my handsfree.what can I do???

i bought some headphones from amazon because i couldn’t find any in my area but, my mic won’t work and my sound kicks in late. for example i can put on music and it skips like 4 seconds of the song then it puts on the sound

Ok so, the problem is not the headphones, I pressed on the area you said could be the problem, so I think its a glitch on my iPad, but I restarted it 2 times and nothing, what should I do😣
Update: I kept trying pushing on the area to see if the connections were lose, and they were, so now I have to like give it a couple knocks on the area for it to work for a couple secs

Actually the first time it worked when I cleaned my phone from dust and stuff.. then it stopped working again so I came back to see another way and I tried the first weird way AND IT WORKED !

This is great…my iPad headphones weren’t working & no sound, so plugged in the adaptor for the iPhone in the iPad & now have the sound back…but then plugged my earphones directly to the plug in without the adapter & it works great now…weird but happy to have them working…thank you..
Yo I plugged in my charger after my headphones stopped working and it didn’t charge I tried again and it started charging and now my headphones work in my lightning port again so that’s weird

On my earbuds the volume buttons, when I move them, I hear static and a little bit of sound on the right side of my earbud

I felt from jetski today with my phone, it's charging as usual normaly but the headphones worked normally too at the beginning then the plug of headphones becomes warm when connected to my iPhone and sometimes work and sometimes not
My issue is that I plug them in but they don’t play sound through the headphones they still play sound through the phone itself even when plugged in, I cleaned it and everything but idk it still doesn’t work

If you have your earbuds plugged in but sound still comes out of your phone, try turning on your Bluetooth and connecting them. Idk why it’s like that.
